Nevertheless, after seeing him, Tohru instantly tackled him and sobbed at his chest. "Awaaa! I thought you were gone sniff~ i-i was frightened that your presence abruptly disappeared from this world s-so sniff* I thought you died."

Suddenly he recollected his newly acquired skill, he thought. 'Shit, I didn't think of this probability, it's not my mistake but...I don't want to see her cry.'

After that he did his best to soothe her down, then he peeked at Quetzalcoatl who had a severe expression while gazing at him.

He asked. "What's wrong?"

"Kyle...what the hell did you do?"

Kyle was confused and replied. "What do you mean?"

"....You don't know? Fine I'll clarify I don't know how or what you did, but you're entirely out of presence, to be exact it's like you vanished from existence if I didn't have my current power right now, I would forget about your existence, I could even hardly recall our time interacting together, and also please keep talking to me you see if you don't I would forget that you are here."

Kyle was surprised to hear her explanation, to think this skill is much more powerful than he thought for instance if an assassin were to have this there is no doubt that they would be successful assassinating anyone without anyone noticing them.

After that Quetzalcoatl tried her best to stop Tohru, unlike Tohru she could still sense Kyle, however, if she doesn't concentrate she wouldn't be able to sense it which is a bit risky.

Quetzalcoatl was successful in persuading Tohru to wait, however, she couldn't do anything to stop her crying because she was worried for her lover.

She was powerless against it, at the same time she was having a tough time recalling Kyle from the corner of her memories, Quetzalcoatl wondered how could Tohru who is weaker than she doesn't have an issue of recalling him.

Quetzalcoatl shortly figured the reason, it's based on affection for Kyle, naturally, the more valuable the person is to you the more wouldn't want to forget that person, that applies the same logic of what's happening now.
