"Hahahaha…. Maybe I shouldn't be."

Rant Valo laughed weakly. He also didn't expect the ghost to just up and die because of the sun.

"Anyways, Master Floriana, I can only cast my magic spell 4 more times."

Rant Valo turned to Floriana Sabina and informed her. His cultivation stage was still low so he could only do it a few more times.

"I understand. I'll protect everyone, Disciple."

Floriana Sabina nodded her head in understanding. She spread her arms wide and closed her eyes. A long snake-like white flame left the palm of her hands. It circled around her before separating into a total of 16 white snakes.

The white snakes had a white flame burning on their heads. They circled around Rant Valo's group silently.

"Let's go."

The group continued on ahead. The moment a wandering ghost comes too close to them, a white snake would rush towards it before biting it. The ghost would then burn in white flames before disappearing from the world.

"Wow. That's so convenient."

Rant Valo couldn't help but say after seeing the speed of the ghosts dying from Floriana Sabina's magic technique.

"Fufufu, that's not the most powerful form of that magic technique."

Floriana Sabina proudly raised her chin up and laughed. If she didn't hold back, this whole swamp would have already disappeared from the map. It would turn into a dessert with a snap her finger.

"Are you really a Mana Dominion stage cultivator?"

Rant Valo asked her with a curious look on his face. He still couldn't believe her words back then that she was a Mana Dominion stage cultivator.

Floriana Sabina clicked her tongue in annoyance and looked at Rant Valo with a displeased look on her face. She thought that Rant Valo would have already believed her words after witnessing her strengths so many times now.

Rant Valo replied to her honestly. A few weeks ago, he was just a humble villager that was ostracized. He couldn't expect that his life would quickly change for the better. It was even so good that sometimes he would have stray thoughts that this was just a good dream.

"I can understand that, Disciple. One day, I'll show you the extent of my power. If you still don't believe me then, I'll disown you."

Floriana Sabina let out a slow chuckle. Rant Valo couldn't help but gulp when he heard her say that she would disown him. His life had already changed for the better when she took him in. He couldn't imagine a life without her now.

"Alright, Alright, I believe you, Master Floriana. Just stop joking about disowning me."

Rant Valo sighed in defeat. He thought that she would not lie to him about something like faking her cultivation stage. There was nothing for her to gain if she does so, so he would bet that she's actually being honest with him.

"Hmph! You're just afraid of me disowning you."

Floriana Sabina snorted and turned her head away from Rant Valo.

"Hahaha…"

Rant Valo laughed dryly. She was right. He was afraid of being disowned by her. Though, that was not all the reason for it.

"Master, don't worry. If Grandmaster disowns you, I would not leave your side.'

Veia couldn't help but reassure him after hearing their conversation together.

"Thank you, Veia. But I'd rather not be disowned by Master Floriana."

Rant Valo smiled wryly at Veia's assurance to him. It made him happy but it also made him anxious hearing it. The only good news about it was that Veia would not abandon him no matter what.

"Mmm. Veia would always be Master's."

Veia had a wide smile on her face as she declared to Rant Valo. She was just like a young girl madly in love.

Rant Valo looked at Veia with warm eyes. Her words really made him very satisfied. As a man, it is very reassuring to hear your partner say that she would always be yours. It awakens his dominating male instinct.

"Get a room! Geez."

Floriana Sabina looked at them with a disgusted look on her face. She wasn't enjoying seeing them flirt with each other almost every day.

Rant Valo laughed cheerily after seeing her complain. It was kinda fun teasing his master who always acts so superior.

Nale Narene was several feet behind them. He was watching them interact with each other. He felt gloomy seeing them from afar. He felt alienated. This was his first time feeling this in his life. In all honesty, it left a sour feeling in his heart.

'Is it because Rant Valo is still here so his master doesn't want to accept me?'

Nale Narene thought to himself. He couldn't help but think of the possibility that he was the one laughing with Floriana Sabina and flirting with Veia. How good would that life be?

"Do you want power?"

An old man's hoarse voice whispered into Nale Narene's ear. He jumped in fright when he heard it. He looked around just like a cat whose tail was stepped on.

'Who!?'

Nale Narene shouted inside his head.

"You don't have to worry about that. I can give you power. Power, more than that little girl could ever give you. Kekekeke."

The hoarse voice sounded on his ear once again. It was tempting and inviting.

'You can?'

Nale Narene's eyes opened wide in excitement. All he wanted was revenge. He wanted to take back Narene Town with an iron fist, and if he could do that sooner, he would do it.

"Just listen to my words. I will give you the power you desire once you listen to me. Kekekeke."

The hoarse voice laughed eerily. Its offers were very tempting for Nale Narene.
