"What do you mean?"

Rant Valo couldn't help but retort at her. He looked at her annoyed.

"Uwah, she's right!"

Floriana Sabina sniffed Rant Valo when she heard Veia's words. The moment she did, a strong rotten smell assaulted her nose.

"You're messing with me, right? RIGHT???"

Rant Valo looked at them anxiously, but they avoided his gaze when he looked at them.

Sniff sniff

"Sh*t! You guys are right!"

Rant Valo sniffed himself and he suddenly felt like he stuck his nose inside a rotten corpse. It was so horrible that he who rarely curses- cursed! What a shock this was!

"Why do I smell like this!?"

Rant Valo expressed his grievance by bellowing loudly. His voice echoed inside the cave walls.

"You don't take a bath, Master?"

Veia couldn't hold back her curiosity and asked him.

Rant Valo was taken aback by her answer. He didn't have the chance to have one since so many things happened today and yesterday.

He opened and closed his mouth like a fish but no words came out of his mouth. His conscience is holding him back from lying to her. He only stared at her silently and didn't reveal the truth.

"Really, Master, you have to take a bath or no girls will like you okay?"

Veia took Rant Valo's silence as him agreeing with her. She explained to him why he's single with an innocent smile.

Rant Valo froze at her words. Her words stabbed him in the heart.

"Stinky disciple, stop chatting, and let's get going!"

Floriana Sabina was getting impatient from the side. She has been watching them talk since earlier but now she's bored like a sloth. She wanted to get this cave exploration finished earlier because there is something off about this cave.

"Okay…"

Rant Valo's mood turned down when he heard her call him a stinky disciple. He couldn't help but feel conscious especially since two girls are with him.

"What were you girls even arguing about earlier?"

Rant Valo's curiosity was piqued as he remembered that he didn't really understand the situation earlier. Something about those black lines that appeared on his skin made him lose his rationality.

"Stinky master, it's her fault!"

"Stinky disciple, she tried to bite me again!"

Veia and Floriana Sabina replied back to him instantly at the same time. Their faces both filled with grievances towards the other.

"Stupid lewd demon, stop playing the victim!"

"I'm not!"

Floriana Sabina and Veia argued back and forth. Rant Valo was watching them argue again from the sides.

He felt like he just disturbed a hornet's nest, and he was bitten by both at the same time when they both called him 'stinky'. He swore to himself that he will clean himself thoroughly when they get out of the cave.

"Why are you guys arguing again?"

Rant Valo asked them with a wry smile on his face.

"Master, she broke my fangs! Look!"

Veia revealed her two broken fangs. Rant Valo's face couldn't help but twitch when he saw how her two fangs were broken. Chills ran down his spine as he imagined the pain that must have come with it.

"Hmph! You attacked me first!"

Floriana Sabina snorted at Veia's pathetic attempt at playing the victim. She was in the right as she only defended herself and Veia was the one who hurt herself.

"I was defending Master from you!"

Veia retorted back at Floriana Sabina. All she wanted was to protect her Master but she got her fangs broken… It was a major loss! How can she even drink her Master's blood now!?

"Hahhh??"

Floriana Sabina looked at Veia with a raised eyebrow. This stupid lewd demon really has guts!

"..."

Rant Valo has no words for himself. He felt like he just disturbed the hornet's nest again but with a stronger shake this time.

"Master, she's bullying me again…"

Veia went over and hugged Rant Valo's arm. Her eyes were pitiful as she looked at Rant Valo pleadingly.

"Disciple, don't get deceived by that stupid lewd demon!"

Floriana Sabina said to Rant Valo anxiously. She was worried that Rant Valo would side with Veia with the way she was acting. Her good impression of this half-vampire, half-succubus is taking a nosedive.

"WAITTTT!"

Rant Valo couldn't take their constant arguing anymore and raised his arms to stop the both of them. His palms were inches away from their faces as he stopped them.

"Veia, why did you attack Master?"

Rant Valo looked at Veia first and asked her. He's not gonna lie, she seems to be the one who started this all with the way she's acting.

"I was trying to protect you!"

Veia answered immediately. She knew that she was in the right anyway. It was her duty as the slave to protect her master.

"Protect me from what?"

"Her!"

Veia pointed at Floriana Sabina.

"ME?"

Floriana Sabina widened her eyes in shock like she just heard the most absurd thing in the world.

"Why?"

"She slapped you unconscious and fed you a weird pill!"

Veia answered candidly. A smile appeared on her face as the thought of Rant Valo praising her entered her mind.

"That's all?"

Rant Valo couldn't really understand this slave that he got. She attacked just because he was knocked unconscious. It was not like he was gonna die from her slap, right? Right?? (Rant Valo suddenly thought that she may be right...)

"Yes, Master! Now praise me!"

Veia looked at Rant Valo excitedly as she waited for his praise.

"Master, why did you break her fangs?"

Rant Valo ignored Veia and turned his head to Floriana Sabina.

She crossed her arms before answering him.

"She was getting on my nerves!"

Floriana Sabina said as she turned her gaze away from him.

"Really?"

Rant Valo was speechless at her. Did he just get himself a petty master? The truth must have been that his luck is still bad in a way.

"Hmph! Yes!"

Floriana Sabina turned away when Rant Valo went to look her in the eyes. Somehow, she felt like she was the one in the wrong here.
