Jiang Yijie finally snapped out of his trance when Xia Baizhi looped her arm around his. He gazed after the two figures who had disappeared into the entrance of the cafeteria.

Noticing his actions, Xia Baizhi’s eyes dimmed. But she just smiled. “Nothing. We have just graduated, right? So, I just exchanged some niceties with them. We’re schoolmates, after all. Right?”

With that, Jiang Yijie didn’t continue thinking about the matter and just grunted in reply.

A malevolent glint flashed past his eyes when he recalled the sight of Lin Qianyi alighting from that car.

“Why did you accept her invitation if you hate her so much?”

Lin Qianyi asked in exasperation as she looked at Su Xiaoqing, who was drinking a cup of soybean milk in a huff.

“Pfft! That white lotus gave us an invitation as an open challenge. If we didn’t accept it, we would be showing that we are afraid of her!”

Su Xiaoqing huffed angrily. Her expression suddenly changed, and she deviously smiled.

“Moreover, she invited us just so she can see us feeling bad at her engagement party, right? We must do the opposite and annoy her to death!”

Lin Qianyi sipped her coffee calmly. “Have you come up with another sneaky idea?”
