My Intergalactic Soulmate

Vorian was keenly gazing at Alexis's palm when she was concentrating her mind to create a fire ball in her right palm. The fire was slowly accumulating on her palm and was growing bigger. After a while, a ball of azure fire appeared on her palm and she was able to control its movement by flicking her fingers.

Vorian's eyes and jaw were wide open when he saw the scene. He couldn't help but be proud of his soulmate. "Seriously, this is the coolest thing I've seen in my life. And I can't wait to see all the marvelous things that you will be able to do with your abilities."

Alexis felt a tinge of shyness by the way Vorian was staring at her and the way he was complimenting her. She put off the fire in her palm and diverted the conversation, "Enough about me. Tell me, how was your day? What did you do today?"

Vorian wriggled closer to Alexis and then gave her a wide smile as he was about to give her a good news. "I'm glad you asked. Today was the last day of my Internship Period and you know what, the IGT Fed decided to permanently hire me."

Alexis covered her mouth with both of her hands in excitement. "That is so wonderful news! Why didn't you tell me earlier? Congratulations babe!" She imitated to hold his hand and a hint of sadness lingered on her face, "I wish I could hug you right now. Why did we have to be so close, yet so far…?"

Vorian's lips curled up to form a smirk. He was extremely happy to see that it was not just him who was desperate to meet physically. Alexis was also in a similar state as him.

Vorian spoke with his bewitching voice and an unfading smile on his face, "And I have some more good news. My Trainee Period will start from tomorrow; I am now officially a Crew Trainee which means I get to travel frequently."

Alexis nearly jumped after she heard this good news. She squeaked out of happiness. "Will you get to visit Earth as well?"

Vorian's eyes twinkled with joy when he saw how happy Alexis was upon hearing the news. "Yes, I will get to visit Earth as well. Hopefully soon… I'm dying to meet you, Alexis." He looked at her with longing eyes.

"And so am I. At least you got to see me the last time you were here. I haven't seen the real you even once. I've just seen the virtual you." Alexis puckered her lips to show dissatisfaction but Vorian thought that she looked cute even when she was not trying.

The lovebirds were distracted from their sweet conversation when Melissa called Alexis for breakfast.

Instinctively, Alexis turned to look at her door when she heard her mother's voice. But all she could see was Vorian's furniture. She had forgotten that she had to cut the projection first for her consciousness to be back in her own room.

Alexis turned back to see Vorian then unwillingly whispered, "Mom is calling me for breakfast. I'll talk to you later."

Alexis picked up her cell phone to end the projection. But Vorian hastily flung his hand over her phone and gave Alexis a mesmerizing stare. Alexis was completely lost in his emerald eyes.

Vorian proceeded to make a request, "How about a kiss before you go? I know it's just virtual but still…"

Alexis could feel her blood rushing to her cheeks and ears and she started to feel hot as if she was in the middle of a desert. Her heart beat was escalating at a great rate. And for a second, she felt like Vorian could see the cloth that was on top of her chest moving because of her heart beat.

Vorian's eyes scanned Alexis's flustered cheeks and a playful smirk appeared on his seductive lips. He then parted his lips and spoke in a low but deep voice, "It is the least I deserve when I shared such good news with you."

After hearing his bewitching words Alexis could feel tickling sensation spreading all over her body. If she was with Vorian in real, she was sure that her fast paced breath would be brushing off his body.

But before she could say or do anything Vorian's lips were already approaching hers. One of his hands appeared to rest on her thigh while the other rested on her head. He leaned slowly until his lips were right in front of hers. Then he stopped and placed a kiss on her virtual lips. And Alexis did the same.

The kiss didn't last long because, they broke it off before it got weird and awkward. After all, they were just pecking air in their room.

But that didn't mean that they didn't like it. Actually, both of them were now breathing heavily and gazing into each other's deep eyes. Alexis gave a soft smile and whispered through her breath, "I think we should do this more often."

"I agree. Maybe we need to do this every day", Vorian whispered back with a devilish smirk and added, "You know, optimum utilization of available resource and all…"

Alexis chuckled at how forward Vorian was turning out to be. But she liked every ounce of it. So she didn't complain.

"Okay, I have to go now." Alexis picked up her phone again only to hear Vorian whining, "Ahhhhh… I hate this part. Why do you always have to go? Can't you stay for a bit more?" Then Vorian lay down flat on his floor; Alexis was taken aback as it was an unexpected move.

But before Alexis could react, the door of Vorian's room was flung open by a man who looked almost identical to Vorian.

He shouted as he barged into Vorian's room, "Hey asshole! Can I borrow your…"

But that man stopped what he was going to say as he noticed that there was a girl in the room. And his demeanor flipped instantly, "Oh! Hello there…"

Alexis nervously grinned and didn't say anything. Vorian had never talked much about his family so she didn't know how to react.

Then she walked near to Vorian who was dusting off his pant and whispered to him, "You never told me you had a twin brother."

But Vorian deliberately spoke in a loud voice for his brother to hear him. He mocked the person who looked identical to him, "Er… he is not my twin but I don't know why he came out with the exact same face as mine."

Alexis just puckered her lips and raised her brows as she had never seen this side of Vorian. He seemed very agitated by the presence of his brother.

That person just disregarded Vorian's sarcastic comment and approached Alexis languidly. "Sorry about my brother's manner."

He held out his hand towards Alexis and introduced himself, "I am Orion Zadoc." Alexis shook his hand while he continued his introduction, "And I'm three years younger than him. If you ever feel that my brother is too old for you then please, feel free to contact me."

This was the most awkward conversation that Alexis ever had in her life. "What is wrong with this person?" she thought.

Vorian was now starting to lose control but spoke from between his teeth, "Yeah, and not just his looks, even his name sounds like mine."

Orion turned his gaze towards Vorian and sneered, "Funny why you're angry with me. I hate to break it to you but I didn't choose my name, our parents did. You can go ahead and change your name if you don't like yours to sound like mine."

The boys were now fixing their eyes on each other and were ready for a brawl. Alexis did not like this situation at all so she spoke out of the blue, "I never got to introduce myself to you, Orion."

She succeeded in getting the attention of both the boys. Then she smiled and said, "My name is Alexis Emerson. And I'm from Earth."

Orion raised one of his brows as he was intrigued by the last sentence that she just said. He moved his feet to reach in front of Alexis and gave her a whimsical grin, "An earthling! How fascinating. Pleased to meet you."

"So, when did you arrive on Celine? And how long will you be staying here?" Orion was curious to know more about the beautiful alien girl.

Alexis stole a quick glance of Vorian to check if he didn't want her to reveal what was actually happening. But he gave an assuring smile so she spilled their little secret, "Umm… actually I'm still on Earth. I'm just projecting myself."

Orion exclaimed, "What?? You mean you are my brother's Soulmate?"
