Chapter 59: Afraid Of Heights, Darkness, And Even Ghosts, I Did Not Realize That This Is Such A Delicate Baby

Ruan Jinghong, facing Wen Jin's substantial gaze, walked to her side with a somewhat embarrassed expression.

"Teacher Wen, I'm sorry, I feel a little seasick."

You're clearly afraid of heights, aren't you?

Wen Jin reached out and brushed away the slightly disheveled hair from Ruan Jinghong's ear. "I should be the one apologizing. I didn't notice your emotions earlier."

Ruan Jinghong waved her hand hurriedly, not accepting Wen Jin's apology. "No, no, it's not necessary. I'm usually not like this. Maybe I've just been tired from the recent recording. I'm fine now. How about we go on the roller coaster ride now? I promise I won't react like I did earlier."

Wen Jin shook her head and rubbed Ruan Jinghong's fluffy head. "Let's find a place to have something to drink first. You've been vomiting for a while, and your stomach must be empty."

Ruan Jinghong had intended to be polite again, but her stomach answered before her mouth could. It let out a loud grumble.

Wen Jin found a bubble tea shop in the amusement park. They each held a cup of pearl milk tea, sitting face to face in the shop, biting on their straws.

In the past, Wen Jin didn't like eating such junk food. But now, sitting in the amusement park with the girl she liked, holding a cup of milk tea in her hand, no words were needed. The familiarity between them was evident in their locked gazes.

In this simple scene, it made her feel as if she had suddenly become much younger.

The warm milk tea flowed down, nourishing Ruan Jinghong's stomach that had just been ravaged. She particularly enjoyed the pearls inside, each one chewy and satisfying to bite into.

Wen Jin had noticed before that every time Ruan Jinghong chewed on something, her cheeks would puff up slightly. She would slowly chew her food until it was finely processed before swallowing, allowing each bite to be fully savored in her mouth.

Wen Jin enjoyed watching Ruan Jinghong eat. It made her feel that even this ordinary cup of milk tea became much sweeter because of her.

Ruan Jinghong squinted her eyes as she finished chewing half of the pearls, only then noticing Wen Jin's gaze subtly fixed on her face.

It was a bit embarrassing to be watched while eating.

"Teacher Wen, where shall we go next?"

Ruan Jinghong could tell that Wen Jin was quite excited when she arrived at the amusement park this morning. If it weren't for her own troublesome body, they would have probably enjoyed many attractions by now.

Although Ruan Jinghong felt comfortable sitting here and lazily sipping her milk tea, she didn't want to dampen Wen Jin's enthusiasm because of it.

Wen Jin was worried that Ruan Jinghong might have a negative reaction to any amusement facilities, so she casually suggested, "Let's just sit here and enjoy the scenery. The surroundings of this amusement park are quite beautiful."

Ruan Jinghong poked her head out and looked around: Everywhere outside is filled with amusement facilities and trees, but the scenery isn't as beautiful as the scenery at the mountaintop last night

Ruan Jinghong naturally understood that Wen Jin was trying to take care of her, so she came up with a compromise.

"Teacher Wen, is there any themed park or something similar here? You know, the kind of place where visitors can explore and admire without any particularly thrilling activities."

That would be better than just sitting outside the amusement park and looking at trees.

Wen Jin looked up towards a nearby place and indeed, there was a themed park.

Wen Jin held Ruan Jinghong's hand and they made their way to the ticket booth of the themed park. A pumpkin-headed character approached them with a warm greeting, "Welcome to the Halloween-themed park."

The park was sparsely populated with various staff members dressed up as dolls and characters, including pumpkin-headed figures, little witches, and Mickey Mouse. They all looked cute and cartoonish.

"This place seems peaceful," Wen Jin said, and with Ruan Jinghong's nod of agreement, she bought two tickets.

The two of them approached the themed park, and the staff handed each of them a pair of 3D glasses, instructing them not to remove them and that wearing the glasses would allow them to experience the true charm of the themed park.

Ruan Jinghong thought it was just for watching a realistic 3D movie and innocently complied by putting on the glasses.

The moment she put on the glasses, everything around her came to life in vivid 3D.

This Mickey Mouse looks quite realistic.

Having seen them put on the glasses, the staff member simply said, "Next, please explore and enjoy to your heart's content," and then exited through a small door on the side.

As the door closed, the light in the room instantly dimmed by several degrees. If it weren't for the familiar and adorable Mickey Mouse by her side, it would have felt somewhat eerie and terrifying.

Ruan Jinghong had only seen Mickey Mouse in picture books before, so seeing a person dressed as Mickey Mouse piqued her curiosity. She approached and playfully pinched his white glove.

Little did she know that her action seemed to trigger something.

The once lovable Mickey Mouse suddenly let out a strange laugh, his head twisted halfway around his neck. When they met again, he had fangs protruding from his mouth.

Ruan Jinghong was startled by this sudden turn of events and took a few steps back in fright, accidentally bumping into the warm body standing beside her.

Thinking she had bumped into Wen Jin, Ruan Jinghong instinctively reached out and grabbed her arm. However, when she looked up, she saw the pumpkin-headed figure with green glinting eyes, emitting an eerie laughter.

"Teacher Wen!" Ruan Jinghong scanned her surroundings but couldn't find any trace of Wen Jin.

"I'm here," came Wen Jin's voice from the side of the wall, but there was no sign of her.

In that moment when the staff member had left, the ground beneath Wen Jin's feet had shifted. By the time Ruan Jinghong snapped out of it, she found herself separated in a different dimension.

With the change of lighting, the cartoon characters transformed, and Ruan Jinghong immediately realized that this theme park was not as simple as it seemed.

She had initially thought that they were not far apart, but she now realized that this small theme park held hidden surprises. Despite hearing the voice of her companion nearby, there was an impassable wall separating them.

Ruan Jinghong, upon hearing Wen Jin's voice, felt as if she had found a savior. She hurriedly rushed toward the source of the sound but accidentally stepped on a mechanism.

Suddenly, a group of slimes emerged from somewhere, and a few of them started crawling up her lower legs, feeling icy and slippery. It was quite terrifying.

"Teacher Wen, where are you?"

Ruan Jinghong's voice trembled with fear as she desperately searched for the only familiar person in this unknown terror.

Wen Jin snatched the glowing magic wand from the little witch's hand and started searching for mechanisms around them, comforting the teary-eyed Ruan Jinghong at the same time.

"I should be nearby, but something seems to be blocking us. Can you check if there's any similar mechanism on your side?" Wen Jin asked, her voice calm and reassuring.

"Mech... mechanism? I feel like wherever I touch, there's a mechanism. That pumpkin person kept chasing me, and there were... slimes too."

Ruan Jinghong replied somewhat incoherently while dodging.

Wen Jin used the magic wand to illuminate their surroundings and pressed every accessible area that seemed like a potential mechanism, but the separating wall remained unmoved.

So she decided to approach the little witch who had been giving her accusing looks with her eyes and asked, "Is the mechanism on my side?"

The little witch rolled her eyes at her: I am scaring you seriously. Please give me some credit. At least act like the girl on the other side.

"Then it must be on her side," murmured Wen Jin to herself.

Wen Jin could hear from the other side that Ruan Jinghong was being chased by various NPCs and making loud cries. She felt both sympathetic and amused, calmly analyzing the situation.

"Do you remember where those slimes came from? Go over there and see if there's a mechanism."

"But... but I'm scared." The combination of fear and the unknown made Ruan Jinghong forget about her image, instinctively relying on Wen Jin.

"It's okay, don't be afraid. I'm right here with you."

Wen Jin's voice had a soothing power that could calm one's heart. Although Ruan Jinghong's legs were still trembling, she followed Wen Jin's instructions and timidly made her way to the source of the slimes.

She reached out and felt a chilling and slippery sensation.

And once again, Wen Jin experienced the horrifying sound effects she had previously encountered on the Moon Boat.

"Actually, you don't have to be so scared. They are also afraid of you. The little witch next to me was so scared by you that she dropped her magic wand."

The magic wand was clearly taken by Wen Jin just now, but she deliberately made such a joke to comfort the anxious Ruan Jinghong.

However, Ruan Jinghong was still on edge and had no mood for jokes.

Among a pile of icy slimes, she finally felt a protrusion.

She pressed it hard, and a ray of light seeped through the crack in the wall.

The wall was pushed open, and there, against the light, stood a familiar face among a group of peculiarly dressed NPCs, finally allowing the heavy burden in Ruan Jinghong's heartnfell to the ground.

"Teacher Wen!" Ruan Jinghong rushed forward and tightly held onto Wen Jin's sleeve, her beautiful little face drenched in tears.

"Wu wu wu, I finally see you! Let's go quickly. I'd rather ride the Moon Boat again than stay here anymore."

She would rather ride the Moon Boat again. It seems that this little thing has quite a psychological shadow.

Afraid of heights, afraid of darkness, and now afraid of ghosts. I didn't realize that this little thing is such a delicate baby.

Wen Jin wrapped her hands around the soft body that actively threw herself into her arms, rubbed the back of her neck lovingly, and comforted her.

"Be good. We won't be separated anymore. With me here, no one will dare to bully you. Look, I even took their weapons away."

Wen Jin spoke, shaking the magic wand in her hand as if showing off.

Ruan Jinghong, touching the magic wand in Wen Jin's hand, looked up and happened to see the nearby eerie-looking little witch sticking out her long tongue at her, sending a shiver down her spine.

Sensing the stiffness in the body in her embrace, Wen Jin waved the magic wand and tapped the shoulder of the little witch, her voice cold and firm, "Don't bully her."

The little witch took two steps back and let out another terrifying laughter, unwilling to give up.

It's actually you who bullied me, right? You show no respect and scared me without any consideration. And you even took my props.

Can't you learn from the girl next to you and show some respect for our work?
