My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy

Chapter 75 - 75: You Are My Missing Light

"I came here to give you this." He stayed distant from the young girl in front of him. She looked surprised yet she had managed the tension and burning fire between the two of them. "I can't still sleep, and I'm glad to see you, Halora."

"W– what is this? It looks too expensive!" She exclaimed, declined the present he brought for her. She gulped, breathed heavily as she turned around in him. "Y– you should go back inside of your room. It's getting colder and colder." She added, closed her for a moment, and waited for him to walk away from her.

Yet, it seemed like she underestimated the campus bad boy. She thought he would turn his back on her and just walk away from that easily. But she was wrong, Sebastian stooped closer to her, stood behind, and took a heavy breath.

"I can't sleep the whole night if you don't accept this, Halora." He insisted but a long, deafening silence needles in between.

Halora looked down at her feet as she reminisced the good memories she had shared with him since day one. She will never regret it until the very last breath of her life.

Until she couldn't ignore him anymore. She couldn't find any reason to refuse it. "Alright, I will accept that but promise me that it will be the first and the last time that you will give me something expensive. Do you understand?"

For all of her life, she never thought of someone who would give her a present– an expensive present. She only hoped for a simple, peaceful life and she had never been into fancy gatherings and parties.

Even on her birthday, Halora used to celebrate with pancakes she made since her parents died. Until now, she never thought of those material things she doesn't even need.

Tears shone in her eyes every time she remembered how her life became miserable. She already forgot how a sweet, delicious cake tasted like.

"Promise me that you will never do this again. Please, just answer me, Sebastian."

She slowly turned around, glanced up to his gaze, and waited for his answer. Sebastian stared at her for a couple of minutes before he replied, "Yes, I will."

Happiness filled within her heart that moment. Halora bowed her head, took the paper bag from his hands until she suddenly felt a strong connection and tenderness when her skin touched against him.

"B– but thank you for this! I promise I will pay for it on due time!"

"You don't have to. Take that as my present, not a debt to pay for." He felt offended by her actions and words. But controlled the rage inside as he turned around on her.

Sebastian took stepped away from Halora after she saw his present. She stood firm and didn't utter even a single word.

"I can't believe she could hide her feelings!" He whispered but before he knew it, Halora chased and stopped in front of him.

She breathed irregularly, panted for a second. Her brown eyes glinted as she slowly dropped the plastic of garbage into the floor.

"What are you doing?" He asked her shortly.

But she gave Sebastian a wide, sweet smile until Halora ran closer and embraced him tightly. Her hands wrapped in his neck as she could smell his body scent and fresh breath.

"H– how did you know about this dress, huh?" She tightened up, closed her eyes before her tears ran down to her cheeks.

She tried to hide it but he knew that she sobbed silently on his shoulder.

"I saw you earlier and it looks good on you, Halora. You should wear it tomorrow, alright?" His voice changed suddenly. From being cold and mysterious, it turned out to be sweet, caring, and genuine.

Despite all the what-ifs in his mind, the danger that awaited his loved ones– Sebastian took the risk once again. His warm, almost perfect hands trailed off to her back, caressed it gently, and cherished the moment with her.

How could it be that a powerful alpha turned weak because of an ordinary, wimp young girl like Halora?

How could it happen in the perfect, right person but not in the destined time and place?

How could it be too challenging and challenge for the two hearts that care for each other?

How could be the world too cruel for both of them?

"If only I can tell you everything, you won't be scared and alone like this. If only I'd met you before her, I should have saved you." At the back of his head, he wanted to tell those words to Halora.

But, he stopped himself and just savored the most unforgettable moment that happened between them.

Sebastian closed his eyes, tapped her back, and felt something wet on his shoulder. If only he could manipulate the time, he did it without a doubt.

After a while, Sebastian felt the same way as the moment he met that young girl– Cassia. It confused him to the deepest part of the sea yet, the only thing that matter to him was... her, the poor, bullied girl he once saved.

"Thank you for everything you've done for me, Sebastian. I am beyond grateful for meeting you," Her lips shivered, her cheeks turned scarlet as she loosened up her arms. "And I must apologize for hugging you without your permission. I don't have any intention but as my sincere gratitude, I gave you a warm, right embrace."

"Look at me, Halora." He ordered but she looked away and stared somewhere distant.

Yet, he didn't stop and gave up. He slowly lifted her chin as their gaze finally met. "I should be the one thanking you. You didn't just turn my life upside down but you taught me how to accept and appreciate every little thing in this world."

"You are my missing light, Halora. And no matter what happens in the next future, I will find you, recognize you and the light within you shall lead me back to the place that I would call as my– home and life."

Halora was left open-mouthed and looked at his eyes for a long moment. She didn't blink her eyes, felt fluttered, and before she knew it, Sebastian messed up her hair and giggled suddenly.

"Sweet dreams, young lady." He said, waved his hands as he carried the plastic garbage she was about to throw.
