Chapter 55: Boss, Stop Being So Frightening

Back in the principal office of Zhou Feng, in the luxuriously decorated conference room, Mu Shaoqing was seated in the middle, but in a rather casual manner. He was listening to Tang An speaking about the company’s latest financial reports.

His face was expressionless, which was startling to the board of directors in the same room.

He was always like this, as silent as the grave, when the financial reports were revealed. Not even the slightest emotion was conveyed on his face. To the board of directors, it felt just like the calm before the storm.

They thought that the figures would anger him, but surprisingly, he simply nodded his head in agreement. He then waved his hand as a sign for them to leave the conference room.

All of them looked at one another in consternation. In fact, no one dared to move. It was the very first time that he had not given anyone a scolding after a meeting.

Mu Shaoqing swept his eyes across the room and said with a cold, detached tone, “What? Don’t you want to go?”

Almost instantaneously, everyone left their seats and scrambled out of the room. Only Mu Shaoqing and Tang An stayed behind.

Mu Shaoqing took the financial reports from Tang An and began analyzing the figures.

“How’s Ning Youyou doing in BLOVE now?”

There was a dumbfounded look on Tang An’s face.

He certainly had not expected that particular question from Mu Shaoqing, who was currently busy reading the figures.

However, he was well aware that Ning Youyou was a woman of great importance to Mu Shaoqing from the last meeting they had based on the many changes that he had made for her.

“Miss Ning is a very committed employee at BLOVE. She joined the company by scoring the highest mark in the admission test. So far, she’s been performing great,” Tang An made a summary of her performances.

“What do you think about her?”

Frightened, Tang An was rendered speechless by the question.

It was a question with no specific answer as it did not really matter what he thought. He just needed to say something that his boss wanted to hear.

Tang An knew that Mu Shaoqing was actually very interested in Ning Youyou, or he would not have sought her attention so many times. He also would not have made a thorough investigation of her family. However, there was no way Tang An could make an accurate comment about her.

From her competence, I’d say that she’s not bad,” Tang An answered. He took a hurried look at Mu Shaoqing, for he was concerned that he might have said something wrong.

Mu Shaoqing briefly nodded his head without giving Tang An another look.

Tang An stood aside quietly while waiting for Mu Shaoqing to finish analyzing the reports.

As soon as Mu Shaoqing raised his hand, Tang An went forward and took the files away, tactfully.
