It was a wonderful weekend. 

The weekend meant that Ning Youyou could spend the entire morning lingering in her bed. She was still sleeping when Yi Qianya arrived at her house.

Yi Qianya was not even offended. She just went straight into her room to wake her up.

“Youyou, we promised to hang out today, but you’re still sleeping.”

Her words were a blur. Meanwhile, Ning Youyou just got up from bed, so she needed some time to reboot her brain that was still in sleep mode. She was a little surprised to see Yi Qianya by her bed, which soon reminded her of their weekend plan.

“Oh no! I completely forgot!”

Yi Qianya still stood by her bed, this time with her hands folded across her chest. “I knew that you were going to forget about it, which is why I am here an hour earlier to wake you up,” she said with a sigh.

Ning Youyou climbed out of her bed almost instantaneously to get ready.

It brought Yi Qianya great amusement to see Ning Youyou in a rush. “Take your time. There’s no rush. Just make yourself look pretty,” she chuckled.

Ning Youyou almost lost her balance in the shower as she was moving about with urgent haste. Therefore, Yi Qianyi’s reassurance came as an instant relief. 

Finally, Ning Youyou picked up a long dress in cadmium yellow, which was in a perfect shape that complemented her features. Needless to say, Yi Qianya was happy with her wardrobe choice.

“Yes, you look perfect! Let’s go!” She was actually very happy for her brother. He would be so captivated by Youyou’s youthful charm.

Soon, Yi Qianya gave Ning Youyou a lift to the International Hotel.

There was not a moment of silence in the car. 

“Youyou, you look absolutely charming today. I’m sure that my brother will be so enthralled by how beautiful you’ve become. I still remember how he used to tease you when we were young.”

Ning Youyou smiled at the thought of their idyllic childhood. They were all troublemakers back then.

“Qianya, how’s Beichen doing right now? Has he changed a lot?” She asked out of curiosity. 

“You’re about to see it for yourself,” Yi Qianya left it to her own interpretation.

Then, the car stopped at the front entrance of the hotel, and Yi Qianya handed the key to the valet service before pulling Ning Youyou out from the passenger’s seat. Hurriedly they walked towards the lobby.

They arrived at the restaurant, but there was no one at the table. Perplexed, Yi Qianya saw that the table was already well set, but her brother was nowhere to be seen. 

“How strange. Where did my brother go?”

Ning Youyou looked around, but there was still no sign of Yi Beichen.

“My brother’s done it again. He told me that he’d wait for us, but God knows where he is right now!” Yi Qianya was about to lash it all out on him over the phone. 

However, just then, someone approached them from behind with a voice that was low and deep. “I’m sorry to keep you waiting.”

Yi Qianya and Ning Youyou turned around, only to see a tall, broad-shouldered man.

Yi Beichen had his best-tailored suit on, making him look extra fine and dazzling. Astonished, Ning Youyou kept her gaze fixed upon the fine-looking man who stood before her eyes. Yi Beichen had changed so much in just four years. He had become unbelievably handsome.
