Chapter 7: Good-looking

Especially when he saw his small self occupying Bailey’s pupils, Zachary’s breathing became heavier. He almost couldn’t breathe, and his face was a little hot.

Bailey looked at the slightly dazed Zachary and took a few steps closer to him.

By the time Zachary reacted, Bailey’s face was only a palm away from the tip of his nose.

Bailey’s gaze was filled with naked interest as she sized up Zachary’s handsome face. Her gaze seemed to be a physical hand as it carefully traced Zachary’s facial features, making Zachary’s entire body heat up.

Just as Zachary was about to push Bailey away, Bailey’s red lips parted slightly and she said softly, “Little lunatic! You’re quite good-looking. Do you have a girlfriend? What do you think of me?”

That voice was like wisps of green smoke as it entered Zachary’s skin. It gently moved Zachary’s already thin wall of defense against Bailey. Zachary could even hear the sound of his heart breaking.

What followed was Zachary hurriedly repairing the city wall in his heart.

He had all sorts of guesses in his heart. Why did Bailey say that he was good-looking? Did she like him? Why did she ask if he had a girlfriend? Did she want to date him? But Bailey was engaged? Did she want him to be her secret lover?

This was too much!

Zachary turned his face to the side to avoid Bailey’s gaze. He suddenly took a few steps back and leaned against the wall behind him. Without looking at Bailey, he said coldly, “Don’t call me a little lunatic! Also, stay away from me!”

Zachary looked like a man who had been snatched away by the Mountain King. He was a little embarrassed and unwilling to give in.

Bailey keenly caught the tremble in Zachary’s voice and couldn’t help but laugh in her heart.

Zachary was a cold person. He clearly liked her, but he hid it in his heart in her previous life. Now, he was still stubborn and asked her to stay away from him. Why was he so duplicitous?

However, such an innocent Zachary was really too delicious. Bailey’s eyes were suffused with a green light, as if she was a hunter who had seen her prey that she must obtain.

Bailey rejected him directly. “Zachary, have you forgotten that we’re like fire and water? If you don’t let me do something, I’ll do it. From today onwards, I’ll call you a little lunatic. You don’t have to object, because it’s useless.”

Zachary turned around and looked at Bailey, who was smiling evilly. For some reason, he, who could usually make Bailey leave angrily, was actually helpless against Bailey today.

Gabriel secretly took a few deep breaths before returning to his usual cold and arrogant appearance. “Bailey, can I take it that you’re flirting with me? Don’t forget that you’re engaged. You should consider your identity before you do anything.”

Initially, he only wanted to win against Bailey and make her at a loss for words. However, as he spoke, Zachary became furious.

Who did this Bailey think she was? She even had an engagement, yet she still came to tease him.

Bailey covered her mouth and exclaimed, “Ah! If you hadn’t mentioned this, I would have forgotten. However, I just broke up in public. Didn’t you hear me?”

“Didn’t you just say that we have to see if you’re happy to tell whether you’re continuing the engagement? If you’re happy, won’t that be a success?” When Zachary said this, his tone was so sour that even he didn’t notice it.

Bailey could tell that Zachary was jealous and said happily, “Do you think I, Bailey, will become the one of the girls of a man who’s two-timing? I don’t want such a man who doesn’t love himself.”

Zachary’s mood improved a little, but he still said stubbornly, “Who knows? Maybe some people are born blind?”

Bailey leaned towards Zachary again. Zachary wanted to step backwards, but his dignity as an opponent forced him to stand on the spot. What a joke. How could he be afraid of Bailey?

Bailey’s cute little head tilted to the side as she stared intently at Zachary. Her stare caused a reaction from Zachary’s lower body.

Her exquisite and bright facial features, seductive smile, refreshing fragrance, and the cuteness that leaked out from time to time all challenged Zachary’s self-control.

“How about you help me?” Bailey suddenly asked.

Zachary was stunned for a moment before calming down and asking, “Do you think I’ll help you?”

Zachary did not even ask what Bailey wanted his help with. He rejected her with a question.
