"The city is really magnificent," I said with awe in my voice, as I look at the huge city in front of me.

To be honest, the city is on the same level as the Celub, but I will not be saying that in front of the people with whom I had been traveling for a week.

"You have only seen the surface of it, Landen." Said Trinaln as we flew toward the city.

The man with brown metallic skin is Trinaln, I have met his team a week ago and since then, traveling with them.

While I would prefer to travel alone; it is too suspicious, so I picked his team. Who were searching for the resources for the mission, they have gotten from the guild and found themselves getting attacked by powerful monsters.

The monsters I have sent their way. So, I would rescue them heroically.

Thud Thud…

Soon, four of us landed on the ground in front of the giant gate and walked toward it.

As I approach the gate, I separated. There were two ways to enter inside, one for citizens and the other for the guest, and since I am not local or a citizen; I had to walk through the 'guest' way.

"Stand there and show your id," said the beast-man guard as he asked me to stand on coarse purple stone.

This stone is a new addition to the gate and is placed here to find the killer. For the past two months, there have been murders in the city, thousands of people died at his hands.

I have heard about the killing, but the information did not say it was this serious.

Hun!

I pushed those thoughts and stood on the while, handling my id. When suddenly, the stone lit up and sent a wave, a very powerful wave of power; that nearly crushed away, all the cloaking formation guarding my secrets.

I have blocked the wave from seeing what I don't want, but not perfectly. It had created some cracks and was able to get a little deeper than I liked to.

Though what it had able to sense was nothing that will put me in danger, I still collected a sample of the energy that the stone had sent.

There are some things I could not understand about the investigative wave it had released. Investigating will reveal it, and I would be better prepared for it for the next time.

"Everything is good," he said and handed me my id. "Thank you," I said as I took it and walked out.

I used the normal id, one of the few I made. The medallion is too eye-catching; it made even Earth Sovereign scan me.

I don't want that kind of attention here.

Soon, I reached the group who were waiting by the gate. "Landen, are really sure you don't want the share? Half of the things have been found by you," asked Trinaln.

"There is no need. It is because of you all, I was able to reach the city on time. Without you guys, it would have taken me a lot longer to reach the city," I said to them.

"Fine them, but you will let me buy the drinks for you in the evening," he said. "Of course," I replied.

"You know the address, right?" he asked. "Itris pub on hayward square," I said, to that he smiled.

"Don't be late," he said and walked away with his group, while I walked the opposite way.

I will stay in the city for a few days. Gather information and prepare for leaving for haslav well. It is a place I want to go to; it is quite dangerous, but it will provide me with what I need.

I first want to find an inn and rest. It had been days since I have gotten a proper rest.

Since that abduction incident. I wasn't able to sleep with a calm mind, but now that I had reached the city, I will sleep without a care in the world.

I walk toward the teleportation gate with a smile on my face.

Hun!

I was walking toward it, when I felt a soul sense on me; it is a very faint sensation, but I can feel it and know it is not a hallucination.

It is not a Sovereign; their soul sense is not this sneaky. It is Earth Sovereign, or a very powerful Sovereign.

I did not panic. Sometimes governors track people, especially in sensitive times like this; I shouldn't think too much about it, even if this sense follows me for some time.

Soon, I reached the teleportation gate and paid the operator, before stepping outside.

A moment later, I appeared in the bustling area. There are people everywhere, belonging to every race, some of them I had never seen before.

I stared at them for a few seconds with a smile on my face, as there was no soul sense. I had thought too much; it was not.

My thoughts stopped mid-way when, once again, the soul sense returned. I thought it had disappeared, but it did not.

Like last time, I did not react and moved through the market, buying things that interest me, while inside me, my clone is going to the city's information, that Trinaln, so kindly provided.

Earlier, I had wanted to stay at an inn, but now, I want to stay in a safe place as possible.

The soul sense might be nothing, but I don't want to take the chance.

Half an hour later, I took a teleportation formation and appeared in what seemed like a forest. It is one of most residential areas, mostly preferred by the Sovereign, due to the expensive it is.

I have come here because this business is run by the Liasar family; a family, which is equal in power, that of governor's, and has Earth Sovereign as the leader.

I went inside and immediately, the soul sense disappeared.

I booked the cheapest cabin they have for a week. It cost me an arm and a leg, but when I saw the small cabin, a grin couldn't help but appear on my face.

"So worth it," I said, looking blackwood cabin. It is by a small hill, covered in dense energy.

I admired it for an entire minute before going inside.

"Good," I said with a smile. It is small, it is only a small kitchen and bedroom, which had enough space for a bed and table.

Though, the practice room is the size of a normal room and has many formations that will help me in practice. The other places I had stayed did not have such formations.

I looked around for a while before I removed my clothes and walked into a small shower.

The cold water fell on my skin, and it felt amazing. The water is not normal; it is treated with heavy water elemental energy, among other things, and that made it feel amazing.

I stayed in the shower for forty-five minutes and walked out.

Hun!

I was about to dry my body with a towel when I saw a person in front of me. He was there, standing, but I did not notice him till I appeared directly in front of him.

He is a red-skin man middle-aged man, with a single sharp horn on his head.

"Who are you?" I asked, not caring about being naked in front of him. "You do not need to know," he said with a grin, and the next moment, I felt a sharp pain in my head, and immediately, lost consciousness.
