MCAB – Chapter 170

When Yu Fanshu opened her eyes the next day, she couldn’t help but smile when she saw the person sleeping next to her.

She found it hard to restrain her emotions when she thought back to last night. However, more so than the physical pleasure, it was the spiritual satisfaction that got her thinking back to the moment they embraced each other.

It was as if, at that moment, her heart was no longer alone. Instead, it had found something to rely on already.

Yu Fanshu gently placed her hand on top of Jun Zishu’s. Seeing that Jun Zishu was still sound asleep, she gently embraced her lover and closed her eyes again.

Chenzi was currently standing outside Jun Zishu and Yu Fanshu’s hotel room, hesitating whether to knock on the door or not.

It was already ten in the morning, yet neither of her two bosses had woken up yet.

Chenzi dared not call their phones, either, fearing that she would disturb their rest. A moment later, she silently returned to her room and message Coco, telling the other party not to call Yu Fanshu or Jun Zishu.

Coco instantly understood Chenzi’s message, and she silently stared at her phone’s screen for a long time.

Coco felt that she needed to be calm. Yet, she failed to do so no matter how hard she tried.

Ever since learning that those two were dating, Coco had already more or less expected something like this to happen. However, when it actually happened, she still found herself feeling a little dazed.

Failing to vent her feelings by herself, Coco had no choice but to drag Chenzi, who was also an insider in this situation, out and vent her frustrations.

“Why does your heart hurt, Big Sis Coco?”

Coco sighed when she heard Chenzi’s words. At this point, she no longer held any bias toward Jun Zishu, and she knew that the other party was indeed a good girl. Even so, she still wasn’t too familiar with Jun Zishu, and she couldn’t help but have complex feelings over Yu Fanshu’s relationship with Jun Zishu.

“Mhm, I know… I’m just trying to figure out how I am supposed to announce their relationship to the public.”

Coco would 100% stand on the supporting side. After all, she had never seen Yu Fanshu looking so happy before. With how attentively and tenderly Yu Fanshu looked at Jun Zishu, even an idiot could tell that she must love Jun Zishu a lot.

Unlike Coco, Chenzi didn’t think too deeply into the matter. She simply enjoyed watching the sweet interactions between her Big Sis Jun and Yu Fanshu, and she very much wanted to share this good news with the fans supporting the Twins ship. Unfortunately, she couldn’t, so she could only enjoy this situation by herself.

Meanwhile, Little Fairy, Jun Zishu’s number one fan, reacted calmly to Jun Zishu and Yu Fanshu’s unification. After all, she had already watched the two lovebirds’ loving interactions for several lifetimes, so it’d be strange if the two didn’t end up together in this world.

After Jun Zishu woke up, she cuddled with Yu Fanshu a little longer before getting out of bed and washing up. Then, she had Chenzi bring her a change of clothes.

After getting changed, Jun Zishu took out the foundation in her makeup bag.

“Thankfully, you didn’t use too much force last night,” Jun Zishu said as she used the foundation to cover up the marks on her neck.

Yu Fanshu blushed a little, feeling embarrassed over her actions.

“Lift your head.”

After covering up the marks on her neck, Jun Zishu proceeded to help Yu Fanshu with hers. Then, once they had hidden all traces of their passionate night, they checked out of the hotel and went to have lunch.

The movie was still in post-production. If nothing untoward happened, there shouldn’t be a need to film any additional scenes. Now, all they needed to do was wait for the film’s premiere date to be set and participate in the film’s promotional events.

Yu Fanshu didn’t like working in a rushed environment. In the past, it was because she couldn’t afford to do so due to her body. Now, it was because she had already gotten used to working leisurely.

Jun Zishu wasn’t interested in working busily, either. She had already accomplished her mission, so she no longer needed to strive to become the very best in this world. All she needed to do now was make sure that she was happy.

While waiting for the movie’s post-production to finish, the two of them planned to return home and live a slow-paced life. However, before that, they still needed to visit their respective families.

“Lingling, I think I’m going to talk to my parents about us once we return. Then, I’ll take you to meet them, okay?”

In reality, Yu Fanshu couldn’t wait to have Jun Zishu meet with her family. However, before that, Jun Zishu needed to visit her mother. While Yu Fanshu was confident her family would accept her relationship with Jun Zishu, she couldn’t say the same for Jun Zishu’s mother.

“Okay. I’ll go and talk to my mother about us as well. Then, we can have a meal together.”

“It’s a promise.”

Jun Zishu did not take Chenzi with her, opting to return home by herself instead. However, nobody was home when she returned, so she guessed that her mother must be working at the flower shop.

After putting on a mask, Jun Zishu left home and headed to the shop.

“Hello, how may I help you?” Upon hearing the door chimes ringing, Dong Yuan looked up from the counter with a smile on her face. Then, when she saw the lithe figure that had entered the shop, her expression instantly changed as she cried out, “Lingling! You’re back!”

“Mhm. How has your body been recently, Mom?”

“It’s great. Come, let mommy take a look at you. Did you become skinnier? Filming must’ve been difficult, right?”

“It wasn’t difficult. I had Teacher Yu guiding me,” Jun Zishu said.

Jun Zishu wasn’t sure if Dong Yuan could accept that her daughter was a lesbian, so she didn’t get straight to the point. Instead, she accompanied her mother. She ate and went shopping with her mother, ensuring that her mother was in a good mood.

While Jun Zishu wouldn’t change her decision to be with Yu Fanshu because of Dong Yuan’s decision, she still hoped Dong Yuan could be happy. She also hoped that her relationship with Yu Fanshu could receive the blessings of their families.

Dong Yuan was a perceptive person. As soon as they returned home, she looked at her daughter and asked, “Do you have something to say to mommy, Lingling?”

“Mhm.” Jun Zishu nodded. Then, putting on a bright smile, she said, “Mom, I started dating.”

Dong Yuan grew silent for a moment. Then, she held up Jun Zishu’s hands and asked, “It’s Yu Fanshu, right?”

Jun Zishu wasn’t surprised that her mother knew who she was dating. After all, she had mentioned Yu Fanshu many times to her mother before. She had never tried to hide that she was dating Yu Fanshu.

Dong Yuan let out a soft sigh, her expression looking neither upset nor surprised. Instead, she looked calm, as if she had expected such an outcome.

In reality, the first time Jun Zishu brought Yu Fanshu to the hospital to visit her, Dong Yuan had already noticed the strange atmosphere between her daughter and Yu Fanshu. She thought she had been overthinking things back then, but it turned out to be a foreshadowing for this day.

“Fanshu is a wonderful person, Mom. She has helped me a lot, and I am very happy to be with her. I hope you can give us your blessing.”

Dong Yuan let out a helpless sigh when she heard her daughter’s words. However, after experiencing a life-threatening ordeal, her mind had become a lot more open to things. So, she said, “My only wish is for you to have a peaceful and fulfilling life. I am fine with it so long as you are happy, and the other party is a good person. Make sure to bring her home for a meal sometime.”

“Mhm. Thank you, Mommy,” Jun Zishu said with a happy smile.

Now that Jun Zishu had succeeded on her side, all that was left was Yu Fanshu’s side.

Yu Fanshu had always been a direct person. After she returned home, all of her family members gathered to celebrate her successful filming. Together with her father, mother, elder brother, and little sister, their family of five sat around the dining table for a meal.

After the meal, Yu Fanshu promptly announced the news of her relationship, shocking everyone around the table.

“Who is it?”

Father Yu instantly grew unhappy, and he couldn’t help but wonder who was so brave as to steal his precious daughter from him.

“Which family is he from? How old is he? How is he? Do you have a picture of him?”

Unlike Father Yu, Mother Yu was quite delighted to hear that her daughter had started dating. After all, her daughter wasn’t getting any younger, and it’d be best if her daughter had someone to accompany her through her daily life.

“Who’s the punk? Give me his name. I’m going to look him up.”

Yu Jianshu the Siscon shared a similar sentiment as his father. He had clearly protected his little sister very well, so he couldn’t believe that someone had managed to slip past his radar and steal his little sister away.

“It’s fine so long as Big Sister is happy.”

Yu Shushu was quite curious about Yu Fanshu’s partner as well. However, she was of the opinion that anyone was fine so long as her elder sister was happy.

“I’m not dating a boy, but a girl. Her name is Jun Ling.”

Everyone in the Yu family knew about the person known as Jun Ling. After all, this was a person who resembled Yu Fanshu very much. Moreover, she had even debuted while taking advantage of Yu Fanshu’s name, so it was inevitable that they would take notice of her.

Honestly, they didn’t have a particularly good opinion of Jun Ling. However, as the problem wasn’t too severe, they never bothered to take action against her.

Meanwhile, Yu Fanshu could feel the atmosphere around the table stagnating as soon as she mentioned Jun Zishu’s name. Thus, she quickly explained, “She is a very wonderful girl. Her previous company was responsible for most of the talk about her online. Also, I was the one who pursued her first. I like her very much.”

When a person was in love, their expressions would subconsciously grow gentler when talking about their beloved. It was impossible to hide those sweet feelings no matter how hard one tried.

If even strangers like Millie could notice Yu Fanshu’s feelings, it went without saying that Yu Fanshu’s family members could notice them as well.

“I want to bring her home and make her mine as soon as possible. I will make sure she becomes more and more dazzling in the future.”

Yu Fanshu was aware of what was going through her family members’ minds. She didn’t wish for her family to trouble and test Jun Zishu. In her opinion, Jun Zishu was the best person in the world, and she wanted nothing more than to abduct Jun Zishu home and put her into her nest, making sure that nobody else could steal Jun Zishu away from her.

“Invite her over for a meal sometime, then.”

“Okay.”

The process of coming out of the closet went surprisingly smooth for the couple.

Dong Yuan had only one daughter, so, of course, she hoped for Jun Zishu to gain happiness. Yu Fanshu’s family was also the same, and they wanted nothing more than to give Yu Fanshu whatever she wanted. Since Yu Fanshu had found someone she wished to spend the rest of her life with, they would naturally support her relationship.

After Jun Zishu and Yu Fanshu reported to each other about their respective progress, Yu Fanshu decided to clear Dong Yuan’s hurdle first before taking Jun Zishu to meet with her parents. If possible, she also wanted to discuss their marriage.

Yu Fanshu behaved excellently in front of Dong Yuan. Her mature, considerate, and reliable personality successfully won Dong Yuan’s heart.

While listening to the conversation between her mother and her girlfriend, Jun Zishu couldn’t help but admit that her girlfriend was amazing with words. Based on her mother’s tone, it would seem that her mother had subtly agreed that their two families could start discussing marriage matters soon.

However, when it was time for Jun Zishu to meet with Yu Fanshu’s parents, Yu Fanshu no longer seemed as composed as before.

“Everyone in my family is easygoing, so you don’t need to be afraid later on,” Yu Fanshu said. However, despite her words, her voice did not sound confident. In reality, she was very much afraid that her family would make trouble for Jun Zishu and scare Jun Zishu away.

I like you, and I want to be with you, so I won’t be scared to face what I need to face. I am not nervous because I know you love me,” Jun Zishu said, smiling tenderly as she looked at Yu Fanshu.

Jun Zishu had found her sense of security.

She had never bothered herself with love in the past because she felt it was unnecessary.

Now, though, she didn’t have to feel inferior. She didn’t have to think that she was flawed because she couldn’t love others. She didn’t have to be afraid of being abandoned.

Jun Zishu had become more confident and calmer, and it was all thanks to the sense of security Yu Fanshu gave her.

Off-camera, no matter the time, so long as she looked at her, this person would respond to her stare with a smile, her eyes looking serious and focused.

Jun Zishu felt that it was time that she became brave for someone other than herself.
