Marvel: Starting From The Bottom

"It was you?!?" She was beyond shocked but it was not the time to discuss the Jester business.

"We will discuss that later, Miss Sablinova." She narrowed her eyes but ended up nodding. If she says anything about my identity, her secrets will also be revealed, which she definitely wouldn't want.

"I am willing to give the position of the Black Knight to you, Mr. Bloodstone." He nodded. 

I turned to look at Sable. "And you will be the White Knight, Miss Sablinova." She didn't care much about the title. As long as it helps the Wild Pack, she would support me.

"And for Mr. Sebastian Shaw and Lady Selene Gallio. They will receive two of the highest ranks." This got their attention, especially Sebastian. I didn't tell him anything about a promotion.

"Lady Selene will be the Black Queen." This made her smile. She wanted the throne of the Hellfire Queen… And I gave her just that. She received one of the two major queen seats. The other one will be chosen later. 

As for the minor queens, the Grey and Red one… I haven't decided about them yet.

"And now we have the man who joined even before me." Everyone looked at Sebastian. "And Since, the previous White Queen Paris gave me the power to elect new members… I appoint Sebastian Shaw as the new White King." 

Sebastian didn't expect this promotion… but I had already planned it. As for him being the white king instead of the black… I wanted to fill Edward's spot as soon as possible.

"And since Lady Paris had stepped down from her position. The White Queen seat is also vacant. But I will not appoint another Queen anytime soon. This seat will be reserved for later." They didn't mind as they already had a position within the club. 

"We will be discussing some things that will describe the changes in this club. But it won't be explained now… as even a single change will take a lot of time. We will discuss this on a later date." I looked at them. "Dismissed."

[After the Meeting]

"So, are you going to explain… what is this actually about?" Silver was not very happy about my secret identity.

"This is about recruiting you." She frowned. "Look, I will get straight to the point. You are a mercenary, an expert ȧssassin and I want you for those skills. The reason I recruited you was because I knew that if you join the club, it will benefit both of us." 

Some people prefer straightforward answers and Silver is one of them. Twisting the words won't do any good.

"Here." I said, passing her a card. "You will know what to do." 

"It… just has a number." Yeah, it didn't have any name. But that number was enough.

"Dial it later. You will understand." 

She looked at the card for a while. "Alright. But you better explain everything the next time we meet."

"That I will, Miss Sablinova… That I will."

[Night]

"So, what did you want to tell us?" Selene smirked as she already knew half of it. 

"I will explain once we reach our destination. So, follow me." I led them towards one of the areas that I 'conquered' from the previous underworld bosses.

I have obtained quite a lot of them, but most of them are vacant at the moment. I will have to put those in use at some point.

"Why are you wearing a mask?" Sebastian asked.

"You will soon find out."

It didn't take us long to reach the mansion that we were currently using to hold the meetings. "Let's go inside." I said as the door opened. 

It was because of the security installments that we made… The door only opens when an authorized person comes near it. If an unknown person tries to open it… it will activate the anti-intruder system.

"Not bad." Selene said as she knew it was all related to science and not magic.

"Come on in." I walked inside the beautifully furnished mansion. "I spent quite a lot on the furnishing." 

"Bossman, who are they?" Ah, Domino. I didn't tell anyone about the members of the club visiting the Order. So, seeing me bringing two unknown people made Domino curious.

And she is just a teenager, so it's understandable.

"Ah, Domino. Gather everyone around. We will be hosting a party." Her eyes shone when I said that.

"Right away, bossman!" 

*Sigh* She thinks that the word 'Bossman' sounds cool. But she doesn't know what it actually means… I will have to teach her later, not to call me by that name.

"She seems energetic." It was Sebastian who said that. "And I didn't know that you recruited kids." 

"*Sigh* Yeah, usually I don't. But she is a different case." Both Selene and Sebastian looked at me.

"What do you mean?" Selene asked.

"You know that humans started many projects and experiments after Captain America appeared, right? They nodded. " Many scientists and even the military started experimenting on humans to create more of such Super Soldiers. Many died in those experiments… but still some survived."

"Wait, don't tell me." I nodded which made Sebastian clench his fists.

"Domino's real name is Neena. And yeah, she is a survivor of such an experiment." Honestly, she had quite a shitty life. And I should probably do something for her… If I remember correctly, she did have a brother who was turned into an experiment.

I know what I can do for her.

"Those bastards!" Sebastian hated those kinds of people.

"But if she survived, why didn't they keep her with them? She did succeed right?" I nodded which made Selene raise an eyebrow. "If so, why didn't they keep her?"

"Well, she succeeded in surviving the experiment but they didn't get the results that they were hoping for." They threw her away without evaluating her actual worth.

"What do you mean?" 

"Her power is luck… God level luck to be precise." This confused them.

"Luck? How can it be a superpower?" Sebastian was confused.

"You see… that luck I am talking about is the one that defies every known law." Her luck was crazy high. "Imagine a person shooting her. Her luck is so incredible that the bullet will miss her for sure. There are very rare instances when her luck doesn't work… but those situations have a one in million chance of occurring." 

"Incredible." Selene was fascinated by Domino's powers. "They truly missed a golden opportunity to gain unbelievable power." That was true.

"Indeed they lost a very good chance… but I didn't. I recruited her as soon as I found out about her. She is a mutate and her powers make her a very important ȧsset." Domino is someone that I planned to have on my team even before Betty.

"Mutate? What is that?" Sebastian asked.

"Ah, yes. You are new to all this." He bȧrėly knows anything about this world. "Let me explain." He nodded.

"Beings who are born with superpowers… thanks to a certain power providing gene called the X-gene, are known as Mutants. And those beings who are born normal but gain powers due to being exposed to radiation or beings who obtain power through outer sources… are called Mutate." Some mutates can be far stronger than natural-born mutants.

"That's… impressive." He was impressed by what he learned.

"Indeed it is." I said and saw an over-enthusiastic Domino running down the staircase. "Careful. Don't hurt yourself." 

"I won't." She said and rushed down.

After a few seconds. Betty and the three ninja boys appeared.

Marc and Deadpool were out on a mission. So, they won't be joining us for now.

"Betty. It's good to see you." She nodded. 

"Likewise, Mr. Jester." Sebastian chuckled when he heard the name. 

"Not it makes sense… I mean the mask." He whispered. 

"So, what is this about?" Betty asked. I looked at her and then turned towards Sebastian and Selene.

"Selene, Sebastian… Welcome to the Order!" I said and removed my mask. Immediately both Betty and Domino were gobsmacked.

"You are Marcellus Hanley!"
