05-05 Kitemaking

"That's definitely a kite."

Moft village with many windy places because it is a mountainous area. It's not weird to have kite flying. I'm not interested in kite history, Jen, but I'm interested in kites themselves.

It brings back memories of making kites to young children in orphanages back then.

Should I say that the kite here has a longer shape under the rhombus? It's a simple combination of bones in ten letters, vertical and horizontal.

"What are you putting on it, not paper?

There is no Japanese paper in this world. I don't even see western paper. I'm only seeing what I wrote on parchment paper and thin boards, so I'm curious about what I'm putting on the kite.

"Well, do you have one at your place?"

Turning around, the village chief stood. Seeing it in the bright spot, the face burned in the day looks like tanned paper, but surprisingly young.

"Yeah, different shapes, though."

"Really? That's interesting. If you ask me, are you a magician? Kitemaking and so on. Would you mind making one and showing it to me?

Jen is also concerned about the favorable words, such as one for boredom.

"Be sure. Ingredients or something, please"

"Of course it is"

So Jen returned to the village chief's house.

"Your father? Can I make you something?

Reiko, who had taught Jen's favorite dishes at the village chief's house, arrived.

"Oh, kite."

"Is it a kite? At your father's, it's fried in New Year's, right?

Reiko, whose knowledge of Jen is irregularly transcribed, seems to know about the kite.

"Oh, the wind is stronger in winter."

It focuses on Kanto, where the winter seasonal winds, known as the air, blow. Games appear to be taking place in Hamamatsu around May and Nagasaki around April.

That being said, Jen was thinking about what kind of kite to make before the ingredients the village chief had prepared for him.

"Hmm, I didn't know you were putting tanned leather on it"

Animal leather very similar to goats living in alpine mountains. The color is white, very thin, but still heavier than paper.

"Not a very elaborate kite."

So Jen decided, 'Flexible Kite'.

On the basis of a square or longitudinal rectangle, pull a vertically quadripartite line and attach the bone to the left and right lines, excluding its center.

The thread will be a so-called 'ceiling kite', that is, a kite that increases altitude, short of which, on both ends, a third from the top, will be the standard, and a kite that will fly farther away if longer than that.

And if you cut it in a straight line from the thread to the top of the left and right bones, the bottom becomes a long deformed hexagonal kite.

"Shorter than a third because it's a little heavy"

For once, three things were produced that changed the area.

"Oh, are you ready? … this has changed."

The mayor of the village who came to see how things were going raised such a voice. Jen said it was just fine.

"And then I want to paint on this, do you have any paint?

And Jen says,

"Well, do you get painted? That sounds interesting."

And so he came out with paint to dye the leather.

Jen wrote, "Dragon" in large part, when he put a fried phrase and red paint on his brush that worried him about what he was going to draw.

"What is it? What's this picturesque word?"

Naturally, the unreadable mayor of Kanji asks. Jen answered,

"It's an ancient letter that means' dragon '."

I answered.

"Ho ho, is it a dragon in ancient letters, it does look good on a flying kite"

Jen then wrote the letters' Dragon 'in blue and black, respectively, on the other two as well. It's a good decision not to paint.

Finally, if you do the 'dry (dry)' engineering magic on the paint, it's done. The yarn is sturdy hemp yarn.

"Well, why don't you fly it"

"I'll give you."

Reiko naturally answers that. And

"I have a little work to clean up, so I'll see you later"

That's what the village chief said and pulled into the office.

With Reiko, Jen goes out to the surface and walks towards the one with the kite flying.

On a cliff falling towards the east. Of course there is a sturdy fence that keeps it from falling.

There was a huge gathering of things to fly kites, things to see, and children.

There is one person watching those children.

"... Elsa?

That was Elsa. It's not a dress, it's usually worn for walking, but it has lace and decorative buttons to create good growth.

"... Mr. Jin"

Elsa's face, turned around, seemed somewhat lonely.

"What are you looking at?

"Kids. I thought it might be fun."

"I wish I could speak and mix"

When Jen says so,

"No. I don't like kids"

and shake his head. But Jen,

"You just don't like it, do you?

That's what I said and showed him the kite I had in my hand. Elsa looked at it and didn't seem to know what it was,

"... Jin, you, what's that?

Flexible kites are characterized by their ability to be carried round. If it's round, it's impossible not to know it's a kite.

"It's a kite. You want to try fried?

Speaking of,

"A kite? That's it?

And he seemed interested.

"... go"

"Okay."

There was a man (Reiko) with a slight look on his face, but Jen took Elsa and walked to the point where the children were flying kites.

The first thing I noticed was the young kids just watching the kite fly. They flock to straw and Jen.

"Brother, why don't you say hello to Sochi?

"Hey, you got that in your hand -?

"Your sister is beautiful. Are you Kizokusa?

"It's small. What the hell are you doing?

The last one is for Reiko. The children we've gathered are as good as Reiko in appearance. He feels familiar with Reiko.

"Guys, look, this is a kite, too. I'm going to let this sister fry you."

Jen says so and gives one kite to Elsa. It's a kite with the letter 'dragon' in red.

"What, me?

"Yes, you see."

"But... I've never even flown a kite"

As Jen spattered at Elsa hesitating,

"It's okay. Because my kite doesn't fall off a bit or softly."

I couldn't refuse to be told that far, and Elsa received a kite and thread. Then head to the kite flying place.

The kids who noticed it vacate the place. I'm flying a kite. It's just in the middle.

"Ah, ugh."

pushing Elsa's back in a whim, Jen said,

"Look, I went. I went. It's easy to get along with the kids, you just have to play with the same eyes."

"... ok"

Never mind. Elsa goes to the fence and spreads the kite. Flexible kite that spreads at once, blown by the wind from the fold. And Elsa let go of her hand with the kite.

Flexible kite hangs in the wind, and pulls the thread, and the thread balls in Elsa's hand loosen up. And for that matter, the kite rose to the sky.

"Ooh! It really flew!

"Wow!

It was the older children flying kites who were surprised by the unadjusted, flying kites without the weight of balancing, called tails.

"Sister, you're good!

Some kids mistake Elsa for masterful manipulation.

Flexible kite had its' dragon 'lettering high in the blue sky.
