Su Han dragged the person into the room and put him on the floor. She told him solemnly as she picked up the scalpel, “I have to declare in advance that I have no medical experience.”

“It’s fine. Just move fast.” Zhong Rui gritted his teeth.

Su Han swiftly cut open the wound with the scalpel without blinking her eyes.

Even though this is a game, the pain is too realistic. Zhong Rui exhaled a breath in surprise.

“How did you get a gunshot wound?” Su Han received her payment while performing the operation.

“Some people finally couldn’t help themselves and robbed stall on the last day.” Zhong Rui focused on talking to divert his attention from the tweezers probing inside his stomach. “I thought the guards in front of the department store would help. Who knew they would just motionlessly stand by and watch… Hiss!!”

Su Han smoothly took out the bullet and continued to ask, “You mean, the people who robbed you have guns?”

“Yes.” Zhong Rui squeezed a word out from between his teeth.

Su Han showed a frown, ‘This is troublesome.’. After sprinkling the hemostatic powder to stop the bleeding, she picked up the bandage and wrapped his wound.

Zhong Rui asked her after exhaling a deep breath, “What do you want in exchange for your help?”

Su Han thought to herself, ‘If she said she didn’t want anything, would she look too rich?’ After thinking about it, she casually asked him, “Do you have any anti-inflammatory drugs?”

Zhong Rui took a serious look at the girl in front of him, “Are you also a player?”

“En.” Su Han responded.

“Name?”

“Su Han.”

“You have everything you need in your personal warehouse and you don’t lack anything?”

Su Han turned her head and said solemnly, “Continue that train of thought, and you will not be far from being silenced.”

Zhong Rui was speechless. Since this person is willing to help him, the possibility of moral corruption is very low. When she said that she would silence him, it was apparent she just didn’t want to answer the question.

Zhong Rui understood and stopped asking. He took out three boxes of anti-inflammatory drugs from his warehouse and handed them to Su Han, “Here.”

She just wordlessly took the boxes.

“I helped you, and you’ve paid me. We don’t owe each other anymore. I’m leaving now. I’m sure you can figure the rest out by yourself.” Su Han got up and left without hesitation. She closed the front door on her way out.

Zhong Rui lay on the ground like a corpse with a bitter smile, “I was too negligent.” Who would have thought the robbers would directly take out a gun when they realized they weren’t his opponents? He should’ve run away instead of trying to fight them.

On the 14th day, the price of goods rose by 100%. There was a power outage in residential buildings for 4 hours, and the electricity supply got cut off after 8 pm.

For three days in a row, Su Han stayed in the apartment without taking a step outside. She cooked instant noodles when she was hungry and drank milk when she’s thirsty.

At 6 pm in the evening, just after the sky had darkened and she began to fall asleep, she was awakened by sounds of gunfire from time to time throughout the night. Gradually, she became accustomed to hearing these gunshots and reacted to them like how one would react to firecrackers.

She also had to ventilate the apartment once a day which she does at night. Because the surrounding area is pitch black once night falls, it is impossible to see what is going on nearby. Even if someone smells the leftover scent of the instant noodles, they wouldn’t be able to tell where it came from.

On the 16th day, the situation got worse. The price of goods rose by 100% and the supply of natural gas ceased.

This means, if she wanted to cook instant noodles, she’d have to start a fire and find some woods to use as fuel from now on.

Su Han walked around the room, felt very fortunate that the homeowners were quite rich. There was plenty of wooden furniture in the apartment, which was enough for her to use as firewood for several days.

Su Han discovered something odd when she glanced outside – why can she see black smoke coming into her room from her window??

Someone knocked on the door at that moment. Su Han saw through the peephole that it was Zhong Rui, so she opened the door, “What’s going on?”

Zhong Rui looked solemn, “A pig teammate came to the third floor. That idiot tried to start a fire to boil instant noodles in the middle of the day and there was a burst of black smoke. I plan to evacuate. I wanted to let you know before I leave because you gave me a hand the other day.”

“Thanks.” Su Han didn’t know who would be so stupid to make such a big move. Was that person so eager to attract the robbers’ attention?

“This is something I should do.” Zhong Rui didn’t stay too long. He turned around and left in a hurry after speaking.

Su Han always put her items back into her personal warehouse after taking them out, so there was no need to pack anything. She also hurried out. A few seconds after she left from the back exit, nearly 30 people charged into the apartment aggressively from the front door. It was obvious these visitors didn’t come with good intentions.

“I can’t believe the shelter I finally found after all the trouble is gone just like that.” While rejoicing that she had escaped, Su Han was also quite depressed.
