Han Chi stood up and walked toward the entrance, but was blocked by the person guarding it.

The man was very fierce, and said to Han Chi indifferently, “You can only go in a group, you are not in the first group.”

Han Chi smiled at the man and said, “I don’t want to get on the boat, I’m just going to take a look.”

“I can’t let you. What if everyone makes excuses like you and then gets on the boat? Hurry back.”

“Okay, okay,” Han Chi said with an apologetic smile. Then he took the opportunity to stick his head out, but saw nothing.

When Han Chi returned to his place, he felt that there was something tricky, but he couldn’t think of anything wrong for a while.

Sun Jiaxi said that he would leave the island with the last group of people, but in fact he would follow the boat back and forth every time.

Secretary Zhang said that the mayor made this arrangement to prevent emergencies from happening.

Han Chi was also a little confused about the mayor’s behavior. He always felt that Sun Jiaxi had something to hide from everyone, so he did it on purpose.

He looked at his father, who was sitting on the side and didn’t say a word until now, and thought to himself that fortunately his father and him were in the same group, otherwise no one would take care of his father.

After the first group left, the rest waited in the underground passage for another eighteen hours.

On the third day of staying in the underground passage, an unpleasant odor permeated the entire closed space.

When they dug the underground escape route three years ago, of course, they also thought about the problem of human defecation, but because of the constraints, they simply dug a few deep pits.

With so many people in the underground passage, they stayed for another three days. The smell of human defecation and urine in the deep pit and the fermented ones permeated the entire underground passage.

How could ordinary people stand the smell? It could be said that the smell would be unforgettable for a lifetime.

Everyone sitting in the underground passage was eager to leave this ghost place immediately, because of the zombies above their heads, and because of the unpleasant smell. This time would really be described by the word “boil”.

So when they vaguely heard the sound of the boat’s engine, everyone’s face showed a little bit of joy, although many of them did not belong to the second group, but at least it meant that they needed to wait for less time.

But things took a turning point there. They could hear the sound of the boat’s engine, which also meant that the zombies might also hear the sound.

What was more, there were so many boats approaching the island one after another, and if there was a lot of movement, it would inevitably attract the attention of the zombies on the ground.

It just so happened that there were so few zombies wandering on the border of the island. When the zombies saw so many boats slowly approaching the island, they sent a signal.

This strange scream was like a signal transmitted between zombies. Sun Jiaxi, who was sitting on the boat, felt that something was wrong, and immediately asked the operation team members with guns to shoot the zombies on the island.

Fortunately, the operation team moved quickly, and they killed all the zombies on the island in two or three minutes.

But it was still too late. The cries of the zombies attracted Ji Zhaoyan, and a large group of zombies followed him.

When Sun Jiaxi and the others saw the zombies rushing toward the border of the island, they immediately ordered the boat to stop more than ten meters away from the border of the island.

Before the boat approached the island, the second group of people waited at the exit. Everyone saw the boat approaching slowly, but suddenly stopped.

Everyone didn’t know what was going on, so they shouted anxiously.

Soon, everyone waiting at the exit of the underground passage heard the sound of zombies in the distance.

Han Chi was placed in the second group, and he also heard the zombies’ cries.

“Everyone, jump into the sea!”

One of the men retorted, “It’s below zero now. If you jump into the sea, won’t we die?”

“If you don’t jump into the sea now, you will die when the zombies come.”

After speaking, Han Chi took the lead in pulling his father and jumped into the sea, struggling to swim toward the boat parked at sea.

Seeing that Han Chi jumped into the sea, the others hesitated for a while then jumped down.

But the sea water was really bitingly cold, and when they jumped into the sea, their bodies shuddered.

The whole body was suddenly immersed in the sea water below zero, and the limbs were frozen, so how could they have the strength to swim? Two people had a cramp directly, struggled for a while, and spat a few mouthfuls of sea water. Before the “help” was shouted out, they sank.

It was not that there was no one beside the two women, but the others could not protect themselves. They were afraid that if they reached out to save the people with cramps, they would also be dragged to death by drowning. Everyone was frozen by the sea and their bodies were not very flexible, so they did not dare to take this risk and could only watch the two people sink down.

Han Chi’s father had serious depression and lived like a walking corpse without thought. When Han Chi pulled him into the sea, he didn’t show much sense of survival and didn’t try his best to swim. He just let Han Chi pull hard.

Thanks to Han Chi’s youth and good physical strength, he swam more than ten meters with his father. When Han Chi and his father were dragged onto the boat by the people on it, he was so tired that he collapsed and laid motionless

After that, many people jumped into the sea one after another and swam to the boat desperately. But the rest were not so lucky. Ji Zhaoyan and the zombie group found the exit of the underground passage.
