It’s Annoying I Want To Eat People

There were still a few days before the beginning of spring, and the freezing period of the sea was coming to an end, but the weather did not seem to be warming. Standing on guard at the border of the island was a kind of torture. The cold wind blowing on the face was like a knife scraping a piece of meat.

When Wu Hui came to change his post at six o’clock in the morning, Wang Xingzheng, who was on duty at night, leaned his head against the post and didn’t move. It was estimated that he was asleep. Spring would begin immediately, and the string stretched in everyone’s head was loose.

At the beginning of spring, the ice on the sea would begin to melt. Slowly, the ice would not be able to bear weight, and the people on the island would be safe.

Wu Hui lightly patted Wang Xing, who was leaning on the pillar and dozing off. Wang Xingzheng seemed to be sleeping soundly, and almost fell to the ground with his head tilted. Wu Hui quickly supported it with his hands.

Wang Xingzheng woke up from his sleep. He looked at Wu Hui, who had changed his post, rubbed his eyes, yawned, and said vaguely, “Oh, I’m so cold and sleepy.”

“Spring will be here soon, and we’ll be free after a few more days.”

Wang Xingzheng yawned again, which made Wu Hui feel sleepy.

“You people, who are temporarily arranged to be on duty, will be free. But what about us, who stand guard here all year round?”

Wu Hui didn’t know how to answer him for a moment. He just smiled, patted him on the shoulder and said, “Go home and have a good sleep. Be careful when you go downstairs, don’t fall.”

Wang Xingzheng rubbed his eyes again, took off the scarf around his neck and face, and stood in his spot. He blew the cool sea breeze for a while, and rubbed his face to wake himself up immediately.     

Wu Hui looked at him, picked up the binoculars on the side and looked into the distance. 

Wang Xingzheng blew the sea breeze for a while, and suddenly he was completely sobered up. Originally, he wanted to turn around and leave, but seeing Wu Hui had put the binoculars on his face for a few minutes, before he put it down, he nudged Wu Hui with his elbow with a smile, and said teasingly, “What are you looking at? You look so fascinated. Could it be that there are beauties on the ice?”

Wu Hui took off the binoculars, his face pale, as if frightened.

Wu Hui looked at him, his eyes were full of fear, he hesitated, and he couldn’t say a complete sentence for a while.

Wang Xingzheng didn’t realize the seriousness of the matter. He still laughed and teased, “Why are you scared like this?”

Wu Hui swallowed a mouthful of saliva in panic, and then stammered, “Zombies… a lot of zombies. They are here…”

Wang Xingzheng’s face changed, but he still didn’t believe it, it was almost the beginning of spring, it shouldn’t be.

“Brother, don’t tease me, it’s not fun at all.”

Wu Hui shook his head, so frightened that he didn’t know how to organize his words for a while, and only handed the binoculars in his hand to Wang Xingzheng.

Wang Xingzheng took the binoculars and looked into the distance. There were indeed a lot of zombies slowly walking toward the island.

If these zombies surround them, then the people on the island would die.    

Wang Xingzheng was older than Wu Hui, so he acted calmly. He took off the binoculars and said, “Hurry up and click on the alarm button. I will report to the Armed Forces immediately.”

Wu Hui was stunned. After listening to Wang Xingzheng’s words, he quickly nodded and ran to the alarm button.

Wang Xingzheng ran to the Armed Forces Department desperately. He was out of breath. When he reached, he grabbed the guard and gasped for breath for a while.

The guard on duty knew Wang Xingzheng very well. He didn’t know why he came in a hurry to the Armed Forces Department. He smiled and said, “What are you doing here? Rushing to reincarnate?”

“No… no, zombies are coming.”

Wang Xingzheng didn’t seem to be joking, but he didn’t quite believe what he said. It was almost the beginning of spring, and everyone’s hanging heart was almost relieved. How could the zombie choose this time?

“Brother, this is no joke.”

Wang Xingzheng was so angry when he heard that, “Do I look like I’m joking? I don’t have time to chat with you here. Is the head of the Armed Forces Department here? I want to find him.”     

The guard shook his head and said, “The head probably hasn’t come yet. It’s not yet time for work. The head usually arrives at eight o’clock.”

“Is the leader of the Armed Forces here?”

The guard still shook his head and said, “It’s more than six o’clock now. It’s estimated that everyone hasn’t got up. Why will the leader come to work at this point? Otherwise, you can wait here.”

“Wait?” Wang Xingzheng looked at him in disbelief. This buddy still didn’t know the seriousness of the matter.

 “When I was just standing guard, I saw a large black mass of zombies on the ice with my binoculars. It will take them half an hour max to reach the island. By then, we would all die. Now we should quickly tell the head about it and ask the head to organize an operation team to blow up the ice with explosives.”

“Then quickly call the head!”

“I called on the way, no one answered, I guess he’s still sleeping at this point.”

“Then call the Chief of the Operation Section.”

Wang Xingzheng suddenly realized, “Alas, how could I forget the Section Chief when I was in such a hurry?” As he said that, Wang Xingzheng hurriedly called the Section Chief’s number.

After the phone rang for a while, it was connected, and Wang Xingzheng hurriedly called “Section Chief”.

Section Chief Zheng seemed to be still sleeping, his voice was dazed, but with obvious anger, “Who is it? At this point, why not let people sleep?”

Wang Xingzheng didn’t care about Zheng Hai’s anger, and said anxiously, “Senior, it’s not time to sleep. Something big happened. A lot of zombies are coming.”

Zheng Hai woke up immediately after hearing that, stood up, and asked, “Who are you? What’s going on?”
