Chapter 14 Journey to Diagon Alley (Part 1)

“Roar~ finally came in!”

Luke had the urge to yell, then looked back at James and Hermione, and saw that they both looked at the scene in surprise.

“Welcome to Diagon Alley. Let’s go to Gringotts necromancer bank to exchange some money. Gringotts is run by a fairy.” Luke said excitedly.

“I feel like I’ve gone through a time tunnel, here are the styles of centuries ago.” James sighed.

“Fairy? Is it the fairy from the book?” Hermione asked.

“Come on, the first episode of Fantasy Travel begins.” Luke did not directly answer Hermione’s question, but planned to take her to see it in person.

On both sides of the street, there are vendors who set up stalls, necromancers who bargain, and children around the Quidditch window.

The three of them passed through the crowd and soon came to a white building.

Next to the two shiny bronze gates stood a goblin in a scarlet and gold uniform. Hermione, who came to Diagon Alley two years earlier, looked at the goblin curiously.

“Let’s go in, the goblin is very smart, but sometimes not so friendly, follow me Hermione.”

Walking through the inner hall, I saw the second silver door with warning words written on it.

Please come in, stranger, but you have to be careful

What is the end of insatiable greed,

Blindly ask for, get something for nothing,

Will receive the severest punishment,

“Normally, the level of security here is very high. After all, there is only one bank in the entire UK, and there is even a dragon guarding the treasure house below.” Luke introduced.

Passing through the silver gate, is a tall marble hall.

Hundreds of fairies sit on high stools behind a long row of counters, or use copper balances to weigh coins, or use eyepieces to check gems, or havetily register on a large ledger.

“Dad, give me the pounds you prepared, and I don’t know if I can exchange them all.”

“Is this enough? I have brought some more.” James said.

Luke thought for a while. If the ratio is 1:5, it can be exchanged for almost 200 gold gallons. “It should be enough, Dad.”

When I walked to the counter, I suddenly found that the counter was a bit high. Although I had eaten Xiusui Dan, Luke, who is only 10 years old, cannot reach the counter. He can only raise his head and say, “Hello Mr. Fairy, I want to exchange something. Jin Jialong, how many pounds does it cost to talk to 200 gallons?”

The goblin on the counter looked at Luke, “Now the exchange rate is 980 pounds.”

“Please help me exchange 200 gallons.”

“Okay, wait a minute.” The goblin took the pound.

“Mr. Fairy, may I ask, is there a limit on the conversion of British pounds into Gallons?” Luke asked curiously.

“There is no such rule, but generally we will not accept a large amount of Muggle currency exchange.”

“Fairies are very efficient, which reminds me of a famous saying.” Luke looked at the fairies and thought of a certain green-skinned race.

“What famous quote?” Hermione, who has the ability to learn to dominate, didn’t think of what the famous quote was.

“Time is money, my friend,” Luke said in a weird tone, making Hermione giggled.

“You are right little necromancer.” This sentence was also recognized by the goblin on the counter.

After counting the pounds, the goblin fetched a bag of Jin Jialong and handed it to Luke, leading them to check the number of Jialong.

“They are all gold coins.” James was surprised to pick up a Gallon and looked at it in his hand. It was a huge profit for 980 pounds to exchange so many gold coins.

Hermione looked at the content on Garon curiously.

After counting the Garon, everyone left Gringotts directly.

“Go shopping first, then purchase, Hermione, don’t you really want to learn about the world of necromancer? We can buy some books about the world of necromancer in a while.”

“But I didn’t bring any money this time.” Hermione said embarrassedly.

“It’s okay, I can buy a few more copies, we can exchange and look at it. The Lihen Bookstore is right in front. I saw it when I came just now. I will buy a lot of teaching materials here in the future, and it also supports Owl Express.” Hermione prides itself. It’s still very strong, and I probably won’t want to buy it for her.

“Owl Express? Can these owls deliver express?” Hermione pointed to the owls sold on the side of the road.

“Yes, necromancers use owls to deliver letters and couriers. Do you remember my grandpa writing to friends? He used owls.” Luke went on to explain, “When I go to Hogwarts to go to school, I will have to Using owls and home to write letters, technology products are not available at Hogwarts.”

“Here, it’s here, Lihen Bookstore. We are looking for books we are interested in. We will meet in a while.” Lukla opened the door and followed after Hermione and James entered.

There may be a lot of books he wants to buy. Luke asked the manager for a pen and a piece of paper, and recorded all the books he needed to buy, including all the teaching materials of Hogwarts, and some books of interest, a total of 42 (Except for Lockhart’s books, the banned book zone and the necromancer family’s books, almost all books appearing in the original works are counted.)

Luke mainly wanted to try it out to see if the magic and the spells obtained by his own system could integrate or improve.

I found Hermione, “How are you reading, do you have a book you are just interested in?”

“There are too many books here, I don’t know which ones to choose.” Hermione looked at the list of books recorded on Luke’s paper in surprise, “Why did you choose so many books, there are only 7 standard spells, and Junior high level shapeshifting, high level potion making…”

“Most of them are actually Hogwarts textbooks. I bought them early and previewed them.” Luke said indifferently.

“Why don’t you buy it first? You will remember these for a long time.” Hermione felt that there was no need for her to pick these books anymore.

“Have you two chosen.” James came over.

“I wrote it all down, dad, do you have anything to buy?”

“I didn’t see anything I could use.” James was a little frustrated.

“Don’t be sad, dad. I’ll buy you an ice cream later.” Luke said with a smile.

“Boy, you think I am Anna.”

He said with a smile and came to the manager, “Hello, please help me load these books, will this provide a bag?” Luke asked.

“Buy in large quantities, we can provide delivery services, or a basket of books. Oh! You are either of these books, sir. They contain all the Hogwarts textbooks and some very advanced books.” He has almost never seen it once. Little necromancer who bought so many books.

“Isn’t knowledge just for learning? How much does it cost?” Luke didn’t directly answer the manager’s question. “Dad, take a few baskets and help me load the books.”

“Really a little necromancer who loves to learn. You will definitely become an excellent necromancer in the future. A total of 66 gallons, 5 sikes and 12 nats, will give you a discount of 66 gallons.”

Luke took 66 Gallons from the bag to the manager. “You count it.”

“It just so happens. Welcome next time. We also support mail order. You only need to send the book list through the owl.” The manager likes this kind of big customer very much.

James is responsible for carrying the books, everyone except the bookstore.

“Dad, you and Hermione are waiting for me here. I remembered that I didn’t buy an important book.” Luke ran back to the bookstore as he said.

After a while, Luke ran back with a book in his arms.

“Hermione gave you this book, you should like it.”

“”Hogwarts: A School History” thank you Luke.” Hermione gave Luke a hug after receiving the book.

“Haha~ you’re welcome.” Luke’s face turned a little red, and he replied with a smirk. He didn’t expect Hermione to hug him.

“Daddy here.” Luke called James in an empty corner next to Luke.

“What’s wrong, you still know my existence.” James joked with a smile.

James had just finished speaking and found that all the books in the basket had disappeared. His first reaction was that there was a thief. After thinking about it, he looked at Luke in confusion.

“I put the book away, so you don’t have to carry it, go and eat ice cream.”

“What about your books?” Hermione asked.

“I put it away. It’s too inconvenient. Put this book in my dad’s basket. Let’s eat ice cream.” As he put the book Hermione was holding into James’s basket, James was stunned. With Hermione walking towards Florin Fusco’s ice cream shop.

This kid, going back to talk to Helen, James smiled and followed.

“Dad, I bought you a chocolate nut. The chocolate raspberry we both wanted is the two best-selling flavors.”

“It’s really delicious, but it’s a pity that Anna didn’t come, otherwise she would definitely like it.” James said with a sip.

“The first time we should be familiar with the route, we can bring mom and Anna with me next time.” This time he was not sure whether he could come in, so he didn’t let everyone come together.

Eating ice cream, Luke also introduced James and Hermione to many distinctive shops, such as Quidditch boutiques, Bounce and Play magic joke shops, and Ollivander’s wand shops.
