They waited in the lounge room of this sponsor’s store for a while before the store manager rubbed his hands and pushed the door.

Seeing this person’s expression, Ye Yu knitted her eyebrows.

Quickly, she smiled and walked over, saying, “Store Manager Wang.”

The two simply chatted and Ye yu was about to bring up the topic of the contract when the store manager stopped her.

“The contract today ah… the CEO will personally come from the company to talk to you about this.”

Just a school sponsoring and the five digit turnover… the CEO of the company was going to personally chat with them?

No matter what, it was just a one-time sponsor and not some important event. There was no need for the CEO of the company to personally come down and chat with them, right?

“Plus.” Store Manager Wang smiled and continued, “I heard from the school that Miss Ye, you had gotten into a small accident. We were preparing to change the person in charge when our CEO had heard of this contract out of the blue and requested delaying this until you came back to sign the contract.”

Ye Yu was even more confused, but right now, she nodded along.

If it weren’t that her parents had long forgotten about her and didn’t even reveal their faces in the hospital, she probably would’ve thought that the rumors had to do with her parents.

“However, I heard that Miss Ye was hospitalized two days ago? Are you fine?”

That store manager kindly asked.

Right now, Ye Yu knew why this person was randomly trying to please her. Clearly, he misunderstood and thought that she had connections with the CEO.

Without a change of expression, she smiled and said, “Don’t worry. I accidentally fell down the stairs and stayed in the hospital for a while.”

Then, she heard the store manager saying in shock and surprise, “What a coincidence. Our CEO had fallen down the stairs half a year ago. This must be fate!”

Store manager Wang continued to chat enthusiastically but someone knocked on the lounge room door.

Everyone looked over to see an ordinary young man standing outside.

The two junior sister glanced at each other in disappointment, but Ye Yu didn’t react. She directly stood up while the young man hastily said, “Store manager, the CEO is here.”

Store manager Wang hurriedly stood up.

Behind the young man, the tall and slender man walked in rapidly.

Then he stood at the front of the conference table.

He wore a clean suit and he had a handsome face, acting proper.

The two junior sisters were stunned.

The junior brother pursed his lips in disdain, murmuring “love-sick puppies” under his breath before looking at Ye Yu.

Because their calm and composed Senior Ye was glancing at the man, in a daze right now.

Store manager Wang didn’t notice and they were still introducing Ye Yu.

“This is our CEO —”

The man interrupted store manager Wang’s words, however, and reached for Ye Yu.

He said in a low voice as if attending to business, “Hello, Miss Ye.”

Ye Yu’s mind was blank and nonfunctional. Glancing at the familiar face, she reached over as well.

The warm palm completely covered her delicate and tiny hands.

Ever since entering the room, his stiff face finally revealed a slight smile.

His heart was full.

He was like a wolf claiming its prey… or maybe a puppy.

The man looked over at the woman who rarely acted blank.

“Long time no see… si-sister.”
