I Will Be The Crowned King

Vol 2 Chapter 20: Mace Hornard

Anson looked back, and standing by the door was an old man with dark brown curly hair, slightly gray sideburns, and not many folds on his cheeks. He wears a doctor's robe with a black background and a red border, and under his right arm holds two books, "The Heraldry Records of the Kingdom of Clovis" and "The Life of Isaac Rand".

At first glance, it looks a little awkward.

But just as he turned his head, the cold hairs on his back stood up instantly, and the hexagram left on his heart also continued to feel a slight burning pain, which made Ansen make an instant judgment.

He is the black mage!

The accelerating heartbeat drove the blood flow, and the indescribable chest tightness and suffocation stimulated An Sen, who was desperately trying to maintain a calm expression.

If it was the "former Anson" who encountered this kind of thing, he would only show uncontrollable excitement, so he must not reveal the slightest nervousness and fear!

"Good morning, Professor Mace Hornard." Anson, who was stunned for a moment, flashed a stunned joy on his face:

"Why are you here?!"

The gracious Mace Hornard smiled kindly:

"St. Isaac's College received a 'letter for help' from the Royal Military Academy. I hope the college can ask some teachers who are good at writing and organizing to help."

"As it happens, I had to end my planned vacation because of the war, and I didn't have many courses for the time being, so I came here with others to help."

Almost as soon as Mace spoke, the burning pain in his heart subsided quickly.

"Dear Anson Bach, when did you come back?"

"Yesterday at noon, the steel sky steam train." Ann said without any hesitation, the corners of his slightly raised mouth couldn't hide his excitement:

"I couldn't wait a moment after I received your letter, I set off from Oak Town as soon as the war was over!"

With a peaceful face, Mays looked at Anson and nodded slightly, and didn't say anything more.

"Hey, please wait a moment!" Teacher Erich suddenly spoke up, looking at the two of them in amazement:

"Professor, and Anson... You know each other?!"

The words fell, Anson and Mays looked at each other, and smiled very "tacitly".

"Dear Teacher Erich, of course we know each other." Mace, who spoke softly, turned his gentle gaze to Erich, who was still in surprise:

"Before dear Anson Bach joined the Royal Army, he was the favourite of all my former pupils."

"In fact, perhaps the most gifted one; so you can imagine how sorry I was to learn that he was taken out of the military academy--his talent in history and geography was far greater than he was as a The value of an officer!"

Erich looked at the two of them unexpectedly, and then smiled again: "But now you can rest assured - your good student has proved his military talent through action, and it only took nineteen days to attack The Thunder Fortress, which is guarded by heavy troops and has plenty of supplies, is down."

"Such an excellent record is enough for the military academy to be used as an alternative material for teaching materials!"

The troops are heavily guarded, and the supplies are abundant...

For some reason, Anson always had the urge to laugh when he heard these two words.

"It seems so, but it's still a pity."

Mace Hornard sighed and looked at Erich with a pleading look: "Excuse me, can you let me take a few minutes for the two of you - we haven't seen each other for a long time and want to find a place Let's chat."

"No problem, you can take our great hero of Thundercastle away now!"

The smiling Erich nodded happily while turning his eyes to Anson: "I will send the graduation certificate and supporting documents to you as soon as possible, don't worry."

"Thank you."

After thanking Faculty Erich again, Anson turned around and left the office behind the mild-faced Professor Mace Hornard.

………………

"You did very well."

In the quiet corridor of the building, Mace Hornard, who was walking in front of Anson, spoke without warning.

"professor……"

The somewhat unexpected An Sen looked slightly startled, but when he was about to say something, he was interrupted by the other party raising his hand.

"Don't worry, they can't hear my voice." Mace Hornard said confidently:

"I've been to this building a few times before, and no one has been able to discover our identity without preparation."

Professor, you probably don't know that you've been checked out by a chatterbox...well, though so am I.

An Sen, who followed closely behind the opponent, followed suit, desperately suppressing the thoughts that kept popping up in his heart.

"You did a very good job in the siege of Thundercastle, very good, completely beyond my expectations - of course, the seriousness of the problem was far beyond my initial expectations." Just when Anson was thinking about it, Mace said. Hornard's words continue:

"The old gods of the Grand Duchy of Edland actually developed the heirs of the duchy into believers of the true gods, trying to subvert the regime of the Duchy of Edland by coercion, and trying to get the secret of immortality from the ruins of Thunder Castle... What a bunch of lunatics!"

"It is because of these madmen who never know how to think rationally, that the grand plan of the revival of the Old God Sect was exposed prematurely again and again, causing the plan to fail and have to end bleakly!"

The peaceful Mace Hornard growled, and the helpless indignation was exactly the same as when the two "meeted" before.

"Fortunately, my dear fellow Anson Bach, thanks to your presence, we were able to stop our losses in time, without exposing the existence of the Old God Sect to the sight of the Church of Order."

"Such courage and wisdom must be rewarded."

At the same time as the words fell, Mace Hornard suddenly stopped and looked at Anson, who was slightly stunned, with a somewhat terrified expression.

"No, no no no... Professor, you are too polite!"

With a slight smile on the corner of his mouth, An Sen said with great sincerity: "As a true God believer, these are the minimum..."

The smiling Mace Hornard raised his right index finger~www.readwn.com~ to interrupt him:

"A move full of courage and wisdom must be rewarded - the great Three Old Gods, who will never neglect believers who dedicate their strength to the great plan."

"At the same time, only by gaining more power can we better serve the rise of the entire Old God Sect, discover the real history, and make the blasphemers who tamper with the memory of the entire world pay the price they deserve!"

Under the gaze of the other party, An Sen, who let out a long breath, lowered his head, showing a slightly ashamed expression:

"I'm sorry, Professor, I'm too shallow."

"No, my dear fellow Anson Bach, you are too humble. This is a noble and beautiful quality, but it can also make people hesitate at times." Mace Hornard gently patted Tap Anson on the shoulder:

"It seems that war has the same power to shape the soul as the library, making a teenager who was always impassioned in the past become so mature and stable."

"Only in this way can I rest assured to entrust you with the next task."
