I Reincarnated as a Shinai

"Gaah!"

Commander Almar shouted in pain after his arm was shot… He was immediately helped by his subordinates as they carried him to a safe spot where the sniper couldn't see them. 

Nevertheless, the others continued moving forward as they can't let these people continue pressuring them. If they stopped now, they would be at a disadvantage and perhaps, even the Dark Elves attacking the remaining Gryphons would be targeted as well. That would be the worst-case scenario.

After drinking some medicine to ease his pain and using a Magic Item with healing powers, Almar ordered the two who helped him to follow the others. 

"Yes, Commander!"

"Just rest here, Commander. We will handle this!"

The two no longer hesitated after seeing that their commander regained some color on his face. 

They quickly left and continued moving with an unusual pattern hoping that the two long-range attackers would miss them.

Soon, they heard the sounds of the clashing swords at the area where the enemies are!

"Great! They reached them! Let's hurry and help!"

The two felt excited as soon as they heard the sounds of battle. They know that as long as they forced them to close combat, they are confident with dealing against any humans with their curses and swords.

Especially these people who are only adept in long-range attacks. 

They immediately brought out their staves to cast a curse while the others are fighting them.

Soon, they managed to see the ongoing battle.

The three people held are now holding their swords and they seem to have similar stances. Nevertheless, they also notice that there is a floating sword nearby and it seemed to possess a mind of its own as it targeted the Dark Elves warrior.

The three human targets seemed to possess master-level swordsmanship after they saw a few of their sword strikes.

"Use our advantage! Kill them!"

The Dark Elves didn't feel afraid at all. They have seen a lot of stronger opponents and fought against large Evil Beasts in this chaotic land almost every day. 

They have grown accustomed to fighting against stronger opponents. This is why they remained calm even after seeing their impressive swordsmanship.

Mourad looked at the Dark Elves coming at them. 

'This might be more difficult than what we expected. Perhaps after killing ten of them, we can consider retreating for a while. We can probably consider attacking again after resting for a bit.'

Mourad is considering the amount of Spiritual Energy everyone has. They do not have unlimited energy after all. 

Because of that, they have to think of other options as long as they can complete their task of diverting their attention from where the two other teams are.

Dingxiang's defensive array was quite impressive.

Aside from that, he had also spread his Fire Essence a while ago so he could use his Hazy Flash Step at any time.

"Well, I can increase our Magic Resistance with my Arcana. Don't worry." Imane added as she held her steel sword tightly. 

Right now, she's using the Water Stance of Kendo like everyone else. Since they're a bit unsure of how the Dark Elves fight, it's better to use this balanced style to see how they would respond to it. 

Soon, the Sword Intent of the three manifested. They have different swords, different intensities of energy, and different eyes as they look at their enemies. However, their Sword Intent is very similar to each other…

'Come! We'll show you our Kendo!'

The three shouted in their minds as the first batch of Dark Elves pounced on them!

"Isn't this building's defense a bit too lax? Is this a trap?"

Diether muttered to himself after arriving at the largest building inside the town.

"Well, they were too busy fighting those Gryphons." Stella answered as they cautiously entered the left side of the building. 

The other team entered the right side since they have felt the presence of a powerful Dark Elf there. 

They guessed that this Dark Elf is one of the enemies that Reiji hinted to them. 

On the other hand, the left side where they are also has some fluctuations of energy where Reiji seemed to be trapped.

Unfortunately, they've lost connection to Reiji again so they can't ask for the exact place where he was sealed. It seems that his previous communication to them has been detected by his "jail guards" and decided to cut off his connection.

"Hey, both of you seemed too relaxed as well, no?" Ryu suddenly said.

"Well, he's late… But look, the First-Class Dark Elf is here." Stella said with a smile.

A huge Dark Elf suddenly appeared with a loud bang in front of the three. This Dark Elf is a three-meter all giant and wearing full lion skin on his body. He has bulging muscles suited for his Gauntlet Weapon.

"Are you trying to steal our treasure?"

The Dark Elf asked with his low voice. He's emanating a menacing Aura and they immediately what it was!

"Spiritual Pressure?!" 

"Haa~ So I'm right… This is indeed a Spiritual Pressure. This is impressive."

Stella and Diether were surprised by the sudden aura but they didn't panic after receiving such pressure on their bodies. On the other hand, they seemed to be quite excited as soon as they realized how powerful their opponent was!

Without any hesitation, they covered themselves with their Spiritual Energy and assumed their stance. As for Ryu, he suddenly vanished which is according to their battle plan. 

The Cloak Arcana isn't a combat weapon after all.

Diether used his familiar Fire Stance while Stella remained in her Water Stance.

They didn't bother talking with the Dark Elf as they got ready for battle.

"Should I go first?" Stella asked itching for battle.

"No, let's do this together. Use your Full-Body Armor once you found an opportunity to end this." Diether said as they already shared the skills of their Arcana with each other. If they didn't do this, cooperation in this dangerous battle would be quite difficult after all.

"Got it… Just escape with your Flash Step if we can't defeat him.." Stella teased Diether as they soon charge at the Dark Elf.
