"We're here…"

Several more minutes had passed and soon, the group of Kendo Practitioners and Sentient Arcana saw the dark and gloomy town of the Dark Elves.

The town doesn't have many tall buildings except for a single stone tower at its center.

"What should we do now?" Diether asked.

Their group is currently hiding behind the large trees half a kilometer away from the town. Apparently, they've seen several groups of Dark Elves patrolling the surroundings of the town. Each group has about 10 Dark Elves accompanied by three large Evil Beasts, they should be Werewolves if he would make a guess.

However, these werewolves seem to have Fire Elemental ability seeing how their furs show embers from time to time.

"I think we can consider asking these patrols after beating them up." Stasis suggested. He was itching for battle now they have gotten closer to the town.

"Not a bad idea. However, we have to make sure that we won't alert the other groups." Mourad said while looking in the distance.

There are many groups of Dark Elves moving around after all. Maybe the Dark Elves killed by the Sentient Arcana alerted the others already.

As they started considering what to do, they suddenly heard the ringing of bells from the town.

"What now?"

"Are they under attack?"

"Eh? I don't see any enemies… except us, I guess."

"Ugh… We should hide for now. Look, the patrolling groups are returning to town?"

"That's true… Something must've happened."

The Kendo Practitioners observed the situation as they decided not to hastily move.

"Sir Ryu, how are you guys planning to investigate the town if you hadn't met us?" Diether asked the Cloak Arcana.

"Oh… I will probably use my Stealth Ability to cover the three of us then we'll sneak in."

Ryu answered without any delay. It seems that they have a clear plan unlike them.

Anyway, now that something is happening in the town, they might be able to find a chance to sense their master. After all, they have already sensed their mysterious connection with him being active.

"Eh? They're being attacked by Gryphons?" Mourad pointed at the sky above the town.

"No way… Aren't they capable of controlling the Beast Waves? They should be capable of dominating them, right?" Vinete asked in a surprised tone.

They have seen the Dark Elves control multiple types of beasts and even some powerful Evil Beasts of night.

This made them naturally think that they won't have any problems with being attacked by some beasts at all.

"I guess they're not that almighty in front of Evil Beasts, huh."

"Perhaps, they're only good against some land Evil Beasts?"

Stasis and Imane added as they looked at the 30 or so Gryphons launching an attack on the town!

They're unsure what pissed them off to attack such a fortress of Dark Elves but they must've some deep grudge against them to attack them like this.

"Great! Let's use this opportunity to get closer. Perhaps our connection with Master Reiji will get stronger that way." Rufus suggested as he looked at the others.

Everyone seem to have the same idea as they nodded their heads.

Soon, the small group moved silently as they used their best stealth ability to move forward. Luckily, the place was filled with rocks, small plants, and bushes. It's not that difficult to blend in.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The battle between the Gryphons and the Dark Elves is reaching its climax as the Evil Beasts entered the middle of the town easily. They started wreaking havoc like what they would normally do to the Half-Imps' villages.

Unfortunately for them, the Dark Elves have powerful curses and their vitality alone can't remove such an ability. Though they could create real problems for the Dark Elves. It's only a matter of time before they'll succumb to death.

Finally, the group of Kendo Practitioners reached the side of the town where there is no guards at all.

At this point, the connection to their Master immediately strengthened making them look at each other.

Without any more words, they quickly stepped forward so they could make it a lot easier for their Master to communicate with them.

Everyone was of course getting nervous as well since they are near the enemy base.

If they were seen here and the Dark Elves started attacking, it would be difficult for them to retreat in their current position. It might even be better to directly attack the town at that point since the Gryphons are still causing some troubles and they could use it as an opportunity to attack them as well.

"Ugh… Whatever! Let's move until Master Reiji notices us!"

Diether can only encourage everyone as they move forward. Luckily, Ryu started using his Stealth Ability as well to cover them. He didn't use it a while ago since he's saving his energy or something.

Yet, there are still no signs of their Master reaching out to them.

'Ugh… Should we retreat?'

'No, this is the only opportunity we have. If there's really something wrong. We'll find the Shinai and take it with us by force.'

'Tsk… These Gryphons… I hope they can last longer.'

As they were starting to doubt their plans, they suddenly heard a familiar deep and husky voice in their heads!

"I'm just 200 meters away from you guys. I'm currently sealed so I can't move. If you think you can defeat a couple of Arcanists at First-Class, then go ahead and take me out. The Dark Elf King isn't here anyway. However, if you can't beat a First-Class Arcanist, then, come back here when you can. I'm not in any danger as of yet."

For the few of them, it has been several years when they heard their Master's voice. However, there was no way for them to forget his voice!

"Master Reiji!"

Everyone called out a bit too loud as soon as they heard Reiji's voice.

Noticing this, they quickly held their mouths afraid that the Dark Elves heard their voice.

"Can we defeat a couple of First-Class Arcanists?" Diether calmed down and asked the others.

However, looking at their excited faces, it seems that there was no need to ask such question at all.
