I Reincarnated as a Shinai

It seems that Knight Champion Sayel didn't want to take it slow at all. 

As soon as he arrived, he immediately announced his plans making the people excited!

"I wonder whether he could win against that Reiji…"

"Of course, he can!"

"That's true… Those Dark Elves are only relying on their curses and ability to control beasts."

"We have already eliminated thousands of Wild Beasts and Evil Beasts in the area… I'm sure that they can no longer use the trick of commanding a Beast Wave…"

The crowd chattered as soon as they heard Sayel's announcement.

The citizens of the kingdom had slowly felt dread towards the Dark Elves from the chaotic land. However, now that a powerful figure would try and defeat these elves, they couldn't help but be happy and also be worried. 

"Hmm… Stella, if that Reiji is actually your Master, do you think that the Knight Champion will win or be defeated?" Lyrei asked. 

This made Yasmin and Aria glance at Stella to hear her answer.

They know that Diether and Stella are skillful with the swords. However, they couldn't probably tell how strong their master was just by looking that their abilities. 

"Ohh~ So you were curious about my Master… Hehe…" Stella chucked as she tried to consider her Master's abilities. 

Anyway, she already mentioned to them that her Master's name is indeed Reiji and it is similar to the Dark Elf Warrior.

However, they are still unaware that this master she's talking about is a Sentient Arcana!

"Well, I haven't seen the Knight Champion act, so I can't really tell. Anyway, I have also never seen the limits of my Master's abilities. I just know that he's unfathomable. If they fought against each other, I guess it would be a legendary battle."

Stella commented. 

This made the three girls really curious about her Master! After all, Stella has such a high evaluation!

"I guess we'll just learn the answers tomorrow…"

Time quickly passed and it's already the day to challenge the Dark Elves who had taken over the Isengard Fortress…

"General Julian, Commander Kent, and all the captains, I will be the one dealing with this Dark Elf called Reiji… Based on the things I've heard about him, he should have a skill of a Grandmaster Swordsman. It would be very dangerous for the others to approach him."

Sayel said as they are having a meeting before they march towards the Fortress. Julian and the commanders of the Sun Fire Knight could only agree. 

"Diether, Captain of the Elite Fire Knights, do you have something to say?"

Sayel asked after noticing that Diether seems to be hesitating about something. 

After being called out, the young man had no choice but to voice out his idea.

"Sir Sayel… If it would be possible, I would like to move together with you. We don't know whether Reiji has subordinates with him hiding and waiting for an opportune time, I might be able to help." Diether said with confidence. The Knight Champion already knows that Diether and his team had already fought against the Dark Elves twice. As someone with experience, his words must be treated seriously. 

Of course, Diether also has another motive. He wanted to get a closer look and see whether this  "Reiji" is his master at all! 

"How about your unit?" Sayel asked.

"I have a capable vice-captain, there's no need to worry about them…" Diether answered as he started giving praise to Rufus.

After discussing their simple plan for a few more minutes, they have finally started to march…

The Islefield Fortress and Isengard Fortress weren't too far from each other… Although the latter half of the road wasn't made of stone pavement, they still arrived after moving for three hours. 

"That's impressive…"

Sayel said with admiration. They have just arrived on top of a hill where they could see the Fortress. 

The Fortress is now surrounded by trees, most likely Evil Treants, and many flying beasts circling the Fortress…

The previous fortress of humanity has now completely turned into an evil lair of the Dark Elves.

Sayel looked on his left and saw a building structure from afar… It is about eight hills away from them aside from being separated by a lush forest and a nearby lake.

"It seems that the Arcanist Tower is safe and sound…" He said.

"Well, the path to the Arcanist Tower is very difficult to tread on. There are also a lot of Defensive Formations around. I heard that the Dark Elves attempted to attack them at least once before giving up after decimating more than a thousand beasts…"

General Julian helplessly said. 

The defense of the Arcanist Tower was truly incredible. It was only built a couple of years ago but it's even tougher than their fortified castle that was built almost a century ago!

The only problem is that the Arcanists in the tower wouldn't exceed a hundred at the moment. They may be capable of defending their base but attacking the Dark Elves is also a different matter. 

Then, Sayel ordered to have everyone take a moment of rest. 

Time gradually passed and they noticed that the Dark Elves have also completed their preparation… They have gathered their forces in front and sent many scouts of Flying Beasts above them.

'Hmm… Good… Just move all your troops in front.' Diether thought as he observes the formation of the Elves.

Once they clashed, the Knight Champion, Diether, and a few more Knights would use the commotion to enter the Fortress while General Julian would lead the fight outside. 

"It's time…" Sayel said as he covered himself with a Magic Robe. Diether and a few Knights also did the same thing…

On the other hand, General Julian donned his golden armor as if he's afraid that the Dark Elves wouldn't think that he's the leader of this army. 

As soon as everyone is ready, the Sun Fire Knights initiated the start of the siege…

There's a total of 500 Sun Fire Knights, 4,000 infantry, 1000 heavy cavalry, 800 hired Hunters, and 200 Specialized Arcanists that will act as their Seige Weapons…

Soon, the Knights held their Solar Swords or Lite Solar Swords and pointed them at the sky. They then emitted a powerful light scaring the Treants and many other Evil Beasts!

As everyone saw the power of the Knights, General Julian gave his command.

"Charge!"
