I Reincarnated as a Shinai

Stella watched the battle unfold and was surprised about Yasmin's actions.

She thought that Yasmin wouldn't be able to kill these people based on how she acts when they are together.

However, she just saw this girl shoot six people between their eyebrows without changing her expression!

This lady is actually scarier than what they thought!

Aria and Lyrei gulped at the scene… Now, there was no way they would belittle this young unknown girl who grew up in a small village!

"Incredible… Just where did she learn this? Is it that dangerous living in that village?"

"Well, that place is surrounded by forest. There's no way that those False Ivies were enough to protect them from Evil Beasts." Lyrei answered Stella's question.

They've been in Farahn Village for a short period but they were able to easily analyze that place as a habit. During their mercenary days, they would always have to visit various places to complete their missions so they needed to learn how to adapt quickly. 

"Aria… I'm done here."

Yasmin cheerfully said as she wiped the sweat on her forehead. 

Then, she heard the rustling of leaves as Aria appeared behind their pursuers.

Apparently, she was assigned to ensure that no other people are watching the battle. 

"Mhmm… I saw everything. You're Arcana is quite impressive. I've only seen them in action a few times. It's really impressive in this kind of operation." 

Aria complimented Yasmin's Arcana. Although it is not even a high-rank Arcana, it doesn't change the fact that its bullet speed and penetrative force are really powerful.

If up against non-Arcanists or unprepared Knights, they would surely suffer heavy injuries or even death if they faced a pistol user.

As a matter of fact, even Arcanists would surely suffer terribly if they were unable to protect themselves with their Spiritual Energy.

"Well… I got really lucky." Yasmin felt happy after being praised. Her Arcana is just a unique one but she's truly proud of it.

"It would be really dangerous if this type of Arcana would be in the hands of criminals..." Aria muttered after considering several things about the pistol.

"Ugh… You're right. Even though it consumes a lot of energy to empty my bullets, it can be said that it's really good for assassination missions."

"Yeah… I thought as much. I guess I have to let everyone in the mansion learn how to protect themselves against these types of weapons."

Aria muttered feeling a bit worried. These firearms are too dangerous. She didn't think too much of them before but seeing them in action had truly opened her eyes.

In the meantime, she called the two other ladies, Stella and Lyrei, to help them deal with the bodies.

They also have to loot them as it would be a waste of weapons and equipment. Although the two Arcanists only left behind two Common-Rank Arcana, it would still be a huge sum of money if sold in the black market.

"Wait, is everyone in your mansion know how to Spiritual Energy?" Yasmin reacted after hearing Aria's words.

"Yes… Though they weren't able to summon Arcana, they are still quite good at using their Spiritual Energy, especially my mother, it seems that she received some kind of special training. When she was young." Aria answered.

The Spiritual Energy users don't just revolve with the Arcanists like them. Spiritual Energy exists within the bodies of everyone, however, controlling them requires some talent. 

Only Arcanists, Hunter, or Knights would normally have a use for them in a more complicated manner, so it doesn't really require the common populace to learn them. 

Of course, other professions also require a bit of Spiritual Energy like Apothecarists or Doctors. It's just that the requirement is too low compared to the others. 

"Hey… There are two Common-Rank here as expected, a Mirror and an Orb… They look expensive on the outside. I'm sure this will sell a lot."

Stella suddenly took their attention. The hand mirror's holder is indeed designed with exquisite carves while the Orb Crystal appears like a part of the galaxy has been taken out and placed there. They were both attractive and they could easily tell that they would earn a lot for selling this.

Right now, none of them are worried about the dead bodies on the ground. They have already seen too much in the past few years especially during the war between the two nations. 

"You're right. They look quite luxurious for a Common Arcana. Is there anyone with Appraisal Ability here? I might've missed something." Stella asked. 

She has a low-level Appraisal Ability similar to Lyrei. However, they wanted to see whether Yasmin and Aria have a stronger one.

"Ugh… I don't think that it'll help."

Unfortunately, Aria's Appraisal Item is only at a low level. It could at most provide them the rank of the Arcana and a couple of its Arcane Magic. 

It wouldn't even give them the name of the previous owner or its durability! Aside from that, if the Arcana has three or more Magic, it wouldn't be detected at all.

"Well, I guess let's just have it appraised on the next town." Stella then placed the items in a small sack to keep them within the carriage.

Everyone agreed with her decision.

Lyrei uncapped a bottle of Null Flower Essence and poured its content on the corpses they set aside on the road. 

They don't have plans on burying them so pouring a bottle of the essence is necessary to avoid any plague happening if these bodies started rotting here.

Anyway, it is less likely to happen once it started getting dark because of the Evil Beasts but it's better to be sure.

"Alright… Let's go! There shouldn't be any pursuers by now." Aria could finally relax as she stretched her body before leading everyone back to the carriage.

The four's journey continued as they searched for Diether's whereabouts.

While Stella and her group are traveling to the North, a disaster had actually happened in the northern part of the Chodora Kingdom!

The Isengard Fortress, or the frontier Fortress guarding the undeveloped land between the Losea Kingdom and their Kingdom, has fallen into the hands of Dark Elves.

A group of only 300 Elite Dark Elves managed to claim the fortress just within a day! Even the great General Julian of the North was unable to stop them!

Their leader was said to be the most brutal and finest swordsman of the Dark Elves' history. It was said that he had even defeated the 10 members of the Night Brigade alone!

And the leader's name that would soon spread throughout the whole kingdom… is Reiji.
