I Reincarnated as a Shinai

The three women that passed by were definitely in possession of two or more Arcana.

Thanks to her Legendary Ring's ability, the technique that she learned in the Academy called  Arcane Sensitivity was boosted several times and she could feel the presence of powerful Arcana close to her.

'I've never seen those three before… There's even an elf in their group.' Aria squinted her eyes since she knows most of the Arcanists in this region. 

It means that they have just probably arrived in the town for a mission.

She looked at the lady with short hair and tanned skin in the middle wearing mercenary clothes… She felt that she's a dangerous person and mark them in her mind. It is better to avoid them so she quickly left the streets. 

'Well, as long as they don't kill Noel, there shouldn't be a problem.' Aria mused and continued on her way.

On the other hand, Stella glanced behind her as she noticed that someone just scanned them… It was such a subtle feeling but she didn't miss it.

As a matter of fact, the two had also noticed it but decided to feign ignorance. 

They just focused on the situation in front of them as it seems that Lyrei is actually looking for this type of stone. It is about to be taken shamelessly by this nobleman so they have to act quickly.

"Hmph! It's not overpriced. You just don't have enough money to purchase it. Mr. Hunter, how much are you selling that Cryptic Energy Stone?"

Yasmin confronted them in an arrogant tone.

The two in an argument were confused at first but the hunter quickly realized the situation and answered. 

"Just 50 gold coins! Indeed, this is not a popular item and not many people need this but it's still a fact that this is difficult to find!" 

The Hunter did his best to explain why he put up that price. Since this is not being sold by any others in this region, it is normal that he could set a price for it.

Apparently, the only known usage of this stone is to drive away a specific curse of a Dark Elf called Eye-Growing Curse…

Its usage is limited and aside from that, there are no Dark Elves around here! 

They are far from the Northern Region and anyone that would need this in the north would probably be soldiers who are crossing the borders and exploring the unclaimed land.

In that case, an Arcana with Purification Ability or something similar would be the best solution instead of this stone… There should obviously be several Arcanists with that kind of ability working for General Julian.

"Hmm… I came here first! You can't take it from me! Guards!"

Noel observed the three gorgeous ladies that are confronting him. His anger lessened a lot after seeing their appearance. 

'They're surely better than that Yui and Aria!' The man started giving a lecherous gaze to the three girls. 

He wanted to even buy the stone and give it to the girl who just spoke. However, he noticed that they are all equipped with weapons… It means that the girls are probably confident with their skills.

If he played it right and used his bodyguards' abilities, he might be able to spend a night with the three!

'Kekeke!'

"Since you're thinking it's a scam and causing a scene, then it means that you're not agreeing with the seller… We'll take it from here and just find something that you can afford."

Lyrei replied as she's the one interested in the stone. 

On the other hand, Stella was just silently watching them and looking at the guards who are still holding their weapons.

If they dared to attack them, then she would have no choice but to defend and disable them.

"Kekeke… Alright, ladies. I don't want to create a scene as well. How about this… Let's have a battle. My bodyguards versus the three of you! I can see that all of you have weapons so you should be able to wield them right?"

As soon as he shamelessly said this, the crowd couldn't help but whisper on him… However, it seems that he truly has a thick face and continued.

"If you win, then you can have the stone and I will even pay for it! However, if you lose, not only will I have the stone but you have to serve me for a day as my maids!"

Noel then laughed shamelessly… Even the guards started laughing as they already know what their master is thinking. 

They didn't mind the behavior of the young man since this has been a common occurrence already and they are more than willing to participate in it.

"So… What are your answers?"

The overweight man asked after seeing them in silence. Based on his experience, these types of women would be quite prideful…

'Keke… Even though only one of my bodyguards has an Arcana, all of them have Magic Items that my father bought when he was still working in the palace. There's no way we would lose against them…' Noel thought as he observed the ladies.

'Miss Stella, Miss Lyrei, I think I can deal with those bodyguards alone…'

'No, Yasmin… Let me deal with these hooligans. I'm the one who needs the stone.' 

'Haha… Just make sure not to kill them. We are still in the public. I can deal with them secretly after this.'

Apparently, the three went silent not because they were shocked or even scared but they are just communicating using Lyrei's Arcana… It is a special feature of her Unique Tiara Arcana and very useful in this type of situation.

As soon as they made a decision, Lyrei stepped forward and accepted the man's offer. 

They didn't bother negotiating or adding conditions about the winner's deal since Stella would be dealing with them later on…

"Fine… All of you come to me at once. I will make this quick!"

The gorgeous elf announced. She brought out her sword that is still in a scabbard and stood in front of her opponents. 

Then, her Aura as the vice-leader of the Broken Fang Mercenary Squad spread throughout the surroundings.
