I Reincarnated as a Shinai

"Master, just like what you've informed us, there is a huge bird outside…"

Mio reported after confirming the presence of the bird. Its arrival had actually scared a number of villagers since they thought that it is already an attack from the Evil Beasts. 

They quickly brought out their weapons and were ready to fight.

However, Ruthren and the others managed to quickly clear things up. 

They know that their master Reiji has 5 humans, 3 flying beasts, 12 minotaurs, and 1 sentient arcana as his slaves.

The one outside is a huge Orc-Eating Eagle and they know that their Master managed to easily enslave this creature because he found it heavily injured. 

Of course, after Reiji used the Sword Slave Marker, he just healed the creature to full health. It didn't even cost more than 20 Skill Points which is a very good deal for him. 

"Very well, call everyone here… You guys have to enter my Void Space." Reiji said as he's planning to do something about the killer of his minotaurs. 

He wouldn't mind if they died after being killed by some other Evil Beasts or perhaps dying from natural disasters in the mountains like landslides…

However, what happened to these minotaurs was quite interesting, they were killed by a moving sword based on the report of the eagle. 

This eagle has a high intelligence that he could easily use his Sense Link with him. 

"I'll call them now, Master..." Mio said as she left the room to call the others. 

As soon as they are complete, they just stayed within the room without asking questions. It appears that their master is thinking of something. 

Whoosh~

Soon, a tear or void appeared within the room. Reiji just activated his skill-Void Slash. 

Ruthren and the others silently entered. They were already quite used to it when moving around with their master.

After doing all of this, Reiji cast his Traceless and Stealth as he called for Szaaz to ride the Orc-Eating Eagle with him. 

"Ho~ Where are we going, Master?"

"We'll be looking for a Sentient Sword… It's near the area where you are previously imprisoned."

"Oh? Really… Then is it perhaps looking for me?"

"Hmm? How can you say so?" Reiji didn't think of it at all. However, now that he said it, perhaps it is indeed related to the Ancient Cursed Arcana.

The location and the timing sounded just right.

"Well… I'm just guessing. Since I managed to escape, perhaps someone was sent to investigate."

"That makes sense…" Reiji replied as they boarded the eagle and flew in the sky. 

"Right… You've mentioned that Nero was one of your enemies at that time… Perhaps, his successors were sent here?"

"I'm not sure, Master. However, I had tons of enemies during my time ages ago."

Reiji then recalled the name of the wielder of the Artifacts he retrieved from the Cavern.

The skeleton has two Arcana, the Autumn Wyvern Scarf that he gifted to Stasis and Winter Moonlight Gauntlet he kept in his Void Space. 

Those had the same wielder named Lars Regillus.

Based on what he learned from Szaaz, that man was one of Nero's subordinates. Considering that Nero has powerful servants before, it wouldn't be surprising that they still have descendants keeping records about what happened to the Trident Arcana.

"Master… Did this eagle managed to measure the strength of that Sentient Sword?"

"Hmm? No, this creature isn't that good. It could barely sense someone's Spiritual Energy. He only has good eyesight." Reiji replied without hesitation. 

He knows that the Flying Beasts like this eagle weren't strong in terms of Arcane Magic, unlike Gryphons and Harpies… However, they are still physically strong and their eyesight was impeccable. 

"Ohh…" Szaaz went silent for a moment before giving a suggestion.

"Master, I have a powerful sensing ability… I would like to try it now and find the Sword. If he's looking for the prison, the sword shouldn't be that far."

"That's a good idea. But will he be able to detect your presence once you did that?" Reiji asked curiously.

He doesn't have that powerful scanning or sensing ability as a weapon Arcana. 

However, it seems that an Ancient Arcana like Szaaz is different.

"I don't think so, Master. Unless that one searching for us is a Mythical Rank Blessed Arcana. We wouldn't be detected. I'm sure you already know, not all Sentient Arcana are blessed and even a common rank can have sentience if they fulfilled some condition."

Szaaz explained. 

Well, it's not like Mythical Rank and Blessed Arcana can be seen around here. They would normally stay in the large cities or together with powerful Arcanists. 

"Alright, go ahead and see if there will be a response."

As soon as Reiji gave his go signal. 

The Trident Arcana no longer hesitated and activated one of his Arcane Magic.

"Poison Target Territory…"

It is not really an ability that is normally used to detect the surroundings but to find a target within the limited range of the skill.

Once Szaaz managed to find his target, he could use his poison skills to engage in combat with his target. 

The skill is not that effective against Sentient Arcana but if he only uses the skill to have a good grasp of his territory, then it is considered effective. 

The activation of the skill lasted more than 30 seconds before Szaaz returned to his senses…

"Master… I found the target. It is indeed a powerful Sword Arcana… It's currently within the cavern looking for the traces of battle."

"I see… We'll be there in less than a minute. I didn't know that your sensing skill would be this powerful."

"Master… Compared to the range of your Sword Slave Marker, it isn't much… Anyway, it seems that he detected me, Master… The Arcana should be prepared once we arrived."

"What? So you're telling me it's either a Mythical or Blessed?"

"Yes, Master… However, since he's alone. We should be able to deal with it."

Szaaz replied without any signs of worry. In truth, he was even quite excited to face the enemy. 

Reiji could only sigh as he hurried to the site where Szaaz detected the Arcana. For now, he's wondering whether the sword would actually run or confidently face them.
