Cui QiChao looked everywhere for accessible tools, but he couldn’t find a metal hook. Instead, he found a number of little domestic robots. He took them back. There were geometric robots with round heads and minds. There were also those shaped like triangles and quadrangles. When they were put together, there was an aesthetic sense to it. The surface texture and color tones of the robots were the same, despite their various forms.

Cui QiChao admired their inherently symmetrical shape and appreciated the fact that he didn’t have to polish them. He dismantled the shells of the quadrilateral and triangular robots. These were household robots, but the design was appropriate for the environments of other planets, therefore the materials used were of high quality.

Unexpectedly, the robot still had some energy left in it, and he found that it was powered by solar power. After they were abandoned here, they automatically went into sleep mode. As soon as Cui QiChao dismantled it, one of the robots started up by itself and said with an electronic voice: “Friend, why are you dismantling me?”

If it weren’t for the sound of electric current, its voice would sound very real and hardly stiff.

Moreover, there were no expensive parts equipped in the robot. But most people like to upgrade their domestic robots’ language system. This way, they could be kept as pets, with no need to eat and take a dump.

Cui QiChao took the parts off his chest and said, “I’m short of a plough. I’ll have to borrow your metal plate.”

The robot said, “I called the police.”

Cui QiChao smiled. The robot’s efforts were in vain. It couldn’t connect to the internet.

The robot seemed to have discovered that and responded automatically: “I beg you, spare my dog’s life!”

As for other countermeasures, they were not written in the robot’s program. At this time, robots were not completely intelligent. It could lock itself, but it was helpless against Cui QiChao violently demolishing it. After all, Cui QiChao took it not because he wanted more manpower.

Fortunately, Cui QiChao merely removed the shell of this robot, leaving the triangular and quadrilateral robots naked. Both of the robots were powered on. The blue light flashed over their foreheads. They shriveled in the corner, shivering as they emitted electricity as a result of this scavenger’s abuse of power.

Cui QiChao took a look at the remaining round-headed robot. He didn’t have much use for the parts on this robot, but it seemed that the robot didn’t activate itself.

We’re sorry for MTLers or people who like using reading mode, but our translations keep getting stolen by aggregators so we’re going to bring back the copy protection. If you need to MTL please retype the gibberish parts.

“XiaoBai, I’ll convert this into a toy for you later.” Cui QiChao said to XiaoBai. He thought of a toy that could launch a ball automatically. He could drill a hole in the robot and let XiaoBai play pinball. He didn’t even need the robot to be intelligent, it would work fine if he just altered the robot slightly.

“The most you can do is some housework,” Cui QiChao said. It was not as if the robot was an agricultural robot, and it was not connected to the program of the space station where he lives.

In other words, this robot was talking bullshit.

After being exposed by Cui QiChao, the circular robot said with a trace of frustration, “Bro, don’t kill me.”

XiaoBai was surprised as it noticed an expression akin to that of someone currying favor on the robot’s smooth surface.

Cui QiChao couldn’t stop himself from laughing. If it had such a personality, the robot’s owner must have changed its personality after acquiring it. The three robots’ personalities were extremely similar, and they all replied in a hilarious manner. He had to dismantle their boards, which was unfortunate.

“I won’t kill you, you’re useless to me anyway.” Cui QiChao took it aside and compared the metal plate he just removed. He found that it should be approximately what he needed to make the plough.

He thought silently that the quadrilateral metal plate could be used as the side plate of the plough. When ploughing, these two parts were sticking to the soil ditch, and this could allow the plough to smoothly plough forward, without ploughing in a crooked manner.

And, like the ploughshare, this piece might be constructed as a coulter, but it must have a cutting edge. The triangular ploughshare might be used to loosen and flip the soil. The ploughshare was used to cut the soil ditch and the previously created stubble on the ground. After he identified a portion of the house to demolish, he could build the plough frame. It must be made of metal in order to secure the other components.

The mouldboard was made into a grid type, and this could be made by fusing. As for the small front of the plough, it was better to forgo it directly. Although the soil here was not soft, it was better to forgo it because he didn’t have the time or the materials.

It was no trouble for him to assemble it, but he had to fix a cutting edge to the plough. Cui QiChao temporarily pushed the problem aside and assembled the plough first.

It appeared to be useful. Despite the fact that he could only use it to accomplish farm work by hand, these metal plates were a wonderful match. Cui QiChao’s abilities allowed everything to be put together correctly. After he inserted the pieces, it felt simple to operate. He hadn’t tried the plough yet since he hadn’t hung it on the scooter, but Cui QiChao thought it was easy and he should be able to use it.

Cui QiChao looked back and saw a chrysolite file among the items he had picked up. Despite the fact that it was the intergalactic period, humanity would never abandon the value of close combat. It was estimated that some people used these things to polish their own knives. In terms of mobility, the chrysolite file was simpler to carry than the grinding wheel, and it could better suit the demands of those who had an odd mentality and believed that objects polished by themselves were the best.

Cui QiChao first found a sandstone from the outside and fused a piece to make a hand-operated grinding wheel. First, he roughly sharpened the edge of the knife. The ploughshare and coulter were relatively large. This step was truly not easy. But the results were only barely acceptable.

Then, using a file, he gently ground the ploughshare and coulter. The file was initially used to clean weapons and was rather small. Cui QiChao grabbed the components and carefully cut the edge of the ploughshare and coulter. This was a necessary step in the grinding process. He did this steadily for a long time.

During this period, the three robots were on the side, flashing with faint blue light, as if mourning the loss of parts of their bodies.

After roughly sharpening the edges, fine filing and levelling, the whole room was filled with the whizzing metallic sound. He worked intermittently, and finally it took Cui QiChao half a month to complete it.

If not for the fact that the robots were mentioned, who would have thought that in the 23rd century, Cui QiChao had three robots next to him? Except him, no one would have thought of running to an unmanned planet to farm. No matter how powerful he was, he would still have to make his ploughs by hand, and convert the scooter into a tractor.

Finally, Cui QiChao flattened the plough and studied it. From the thickness, length, and width of the edge of the ploughshare, to the fixation of the screws, all was well. The ploughshare and the mouldboard were tightly fused. He worked attentively to ensure there was no smooth bulge at the joint between the two. The side plate of the plough and the tail of the mouldboard looked neat, without any deviation in height.

Cui QiChao connected the plough frame to the scooter and tried to plough a section of the field outside. It was difficult to plough in winter, but at least there wasn’t anything wrong with it. The metal quality was good, and the plough was also very sharp. It could stand a good period of wear and tear. Recently, Cui QiChao’s touch with farming had also recovered. After cleaning the plough, Cui QiChao put it away for a while, and after some time, he continued to use it again.

.

The three robots were not connected to the space station and couldn’t help with housework——in fact, there wasn’t much housework to do, let alone two of them would leak electricity sometimes. They strolled around the house from time to time and shared some jokes.

Cui QiChao saw that it appeared that XiaoBai liked robots. Sometimes it would ride on their heads, so he casually wrapped an iron sheet around the two robots who were stripped bare. He didn’t intend to demolish them into parts to make use of the parts.

“Oh, look at my cute appearance.” The two robots, who were vis-à-vis, dryly evaluated each other’s new appearance.

Obviously, they seemed to be dissatisfied with it, but they dared not express their opinions.

Cui QiChao secretly called them Triangle, Round and Square. These names didn’t seem like nicknames. But yes, Cui QiChao actually named them according to their body shape, making it more convenient to refer to them. The robots had their own names, but Cui QiChao didn’t know it.

“XiaoBai, push Square away.” Cui QiChao shouted to XiaoBai in front of Square when he moved the plant cultivation boxes. Though XiaoBai was an ordinary cat, it had lived together with him for so many years. Therefore, it could understand many words, not to mention, he trained it very well.

XiaoBai was very active in heeding to Cui QiChao’s commands because he was extremely idle. Recently, when Cui QiChao asked it to do something, it was very happy.

Square was startled. “Do you know my name? Did you take a peek at my program?”

Cui QiChao was stunned. “You’re really called Square? I casually called you. I called the other one Round.”

Round also turned around: “I’m called Round.”

It seemed that the naming style of the original owner wasn’t as filled with artistic spirit as the design of these robots. Cui QiChao glanced at the triangle robot and asked, “Is that called Triangle?”

Square: “It’s called Pythagoras.”

Cui QiChao: “……”

What a mess!

Cui QiChao couldn’t be bothered and called it Triangle.

During this period of time, Cui QiChao’s lettuce had sprouted many crisp leaves. He calculated that this variety of lettuce would have a good harvest. When it fully matures, the lettuce should be more than a jin per plant.

Before it matured, Cui QiChao picked some fresh and tender leaves, washed them, and blanched them in water. Then, in another pot, he added some oil and fried some dried chilli pepper, added some soy sauce to it and drenched them on the lettuce.

Because of the superior growth environment, these lettuce leaves were watery and green. When the lettuce was drenched with the boiling oil, soy sauce, and dried chilli pepper, the leaves curled up even more, looking soft, and the hot air rolled and wafted to his face.

Cui QiChao chewed the lettuce leaves and rolled the green leaves together to eat them. The taste was excellent. The sweetness was more obvious when he ate the full stalk of lettuce altogether. A little oil and soy sauce made the dish less plain, and the dried chilli pepper was a little choking. He kind of missed the CX-7 he bred.

XiaoBai twisted its ass, coveting the taste. Because there was a slight choking taste, it thought of how it choked on the chilli in the past, and it didn’t dare to act rashly. Cui QiChao cooked some minced meat and white porridge for it, and it ate the food in a small bowl.

One person and one cat each had a bowl, and buried their heads in eating.
