I have Nine Lives

Chapter 91: Returning to the lion tribe

Felix started to follow Vangar and but from time to time he couldn't help but look around, after they left the arena all he had seen were tall buildings made from metal or cement, even though everything looked cold around him, the temperature wasn't low, it was actually quite nice.

Vangar didn't explain anything to Felix as he took to a similar tube to the one that he arrived in, he pressed a few buttons before telling Felix:

"You will be transported ten thousand kilometers from the lion tribe and from there on you will be on your own, also you are forever welcome to our metropolis, whenever you want to visit you can use the same tube that will spit you out, anyways I will have to go now."

Vangar disappeared as he left Felix alone.

Felix couldn't wait to enter the tube and leave, even though he was rather curious about his surroundings it was better to leave rather than going around and somehow offending someone to enter a similar situation to before, he wasn't strong enough to tour the human's settlement yet, maybe when nothing would interest him on the other four continents he would decide to take a stroll in this city of metal and concrete.

Felix jumped into the tube as it sucked him, he felt wind engulfing him as he started travelling through the tube at high speeds, in the end, he was spat out from the tube in a forest, he looked behind to see a tree behind him closing up and the tube disappearing.

Felix looked around and he didn't find the forest to be familiar which meant he never travelled around these parts, Felix didn't even travel half of the Tarot continent so there were quite a lot of places that he didn't know.

The forest didn't seem to be populated as there were no sounds of beings moving, no heartbeats could be heard in the forest, it was thoroughly dead.

But after Felix thought for a short while, the forest being deserted made sense, considering it was a place where the human tribe had their transportation tubes they would make sure there were no people around to sniff their technology.

Felix started to walk through the forest and after a short while he left it, a path appeared in front of him as he walked it, the more he walked the more he found landmarks that he recognized which meant he was going on the right path.

After one to two days of travelling he finally reached the capital of the lions again, he sighed as he saw the gates of the capital and entered.

The moment he arrived in the capital Siracha immediately left his tent and started running meeting with him half-way into the capital where the inns were.

Siracha couldn't believe his eyes and senses as he recognized it was the true and only Felix, there was no fake nor spy from the human tribe, he coughed awkwardly as he dodged Felix's gaze then came forward and gave him a big hug!

Felix didn't squirm away from the hug, he understood Siracha's position, actually from what he saw the man tried to save him back then but if he made any moves he would have surely gotten his brains scattered on the floor tiles of the building.

Seeing that Felix wasn't mad at him made Siracha feel a little better as he said:

"I'm sorry for what happened Felix... I cannot say anything in my defence, tell me what do you want and I will do my best to give it to you as an apology."

At this point, Felix's gaze moved away from the normal world, Vangar opened his eyes a bit and he wasn't sure what the lion tribe could even give him at this point, seeing that Felix didn't know what to ask for made Siracha think for a few seconds before he laughed and said:

"I think you must have seen quite a lot of new and interesting things at the human tribe so you think that our Lion tribe doesn't have such good things, anyways I was supposed to give you this beforehand so let me impart it to you."

A spark of soul power injected itself into Felix's soul as he learned the vitality breathing technique, Felix's eyes lit up as he learned the technique, the vitality breathing technique would improve all aspects of him to the point that his lifespan would increase, it was unknown how many times would Felix's ability save him from old age, while Siracha did say that he would revive to the peak of his body when he died regardless of the cause Aaltarox didn't mention anything about that.

"And this isn't the last thing you will get!"

Siracha motioned with his hand for Felix to follow him as they walked towards his tent.

There Siracha told him to wait for a few seconds before he started to look around through his old things trying to find something appropriate that Felix could use.

There were quite a lot of things scattered around Siracha's home and as he searched through them Felix just looked around.

Suddenly out of the corner of his eye he saw a bone inscribed with the human's language!

Felix's eyes narrowed as he took the bone and started to read from it:

"Year 0139, our people started to evolve, our hair started to shorten and our bodies grew in size, it seems that our intelligence rose considerably after we have created the wheel and found fire and it didn't stop from there, after ten years we started to write, after twenty we started harnessing electricity."

"Year 0250, we have created a city powered fully by electricity, things go well for our settlement, our numbers are increasing continuously and so is our army."

"Year 0300, our city had been invaded by creatures from beyond the stars, fortunately, they were overpowered by our huge numbers but loses were inevitable, however, we have scavenged and reverse-engineered their technology thus creating space ships and improving our grasp over their technology increasing our repertoire of Scientology techniques."

Felix saw that the bone stopped the story there, he looked at Siracha who was still searching, and asked:

"In what year are we?"

Siracha responded without looking back:

"The Year 1039."

Felix's eyes widened, they were already fighting extraterrestrial beings since 739 years ago!

It seemed their improvement started to stagnate after a while because from the information on the bone he deduced that nothing much had changed if he compared with what he saw when he was in the human settlement.

But this wasn't something that he had to bother himself about.

Siracha finally found something as he came near Felix and opened his hand to let out a shining light appear, it was a shining pearl, Siracha laughed as he presented it to Felix and explained its uses:

"This little thing here will help you with your breathing techniques training speed, I can see that you have made quite a lot of improvements and that you even have the aura of two new techniques on you, hold this pearl near you and the convergence of Hex energy will speed up along with the circulation through the targeted places, unfortunately, from all the things that I have this is the best thing that I can offer you for your current level."

Felix didn't mind as he wanted such a thing, he tried to take the pearl from Siracha's hand but Siracha didn't give it away as he said:

"Wait for a little I have an idea!"

He took a piece of leather as he made a necklace with it then tied it around Felix's neck.

"Now this is better, where you go you will have a better training speed and when you don't want to use it anymore you can take it off and put it in your bag."

Felix nodded and then left Siracha's home, Siracha just waved at him as he sagged onto his throne while thinking:

"It's good that he is back and he doesn't hold a grudge, he is a very understanding fellow, I'm quite sad that I can't help him more."

While Felix was walking around the capital trying to get back to the inn so he could eat something then get to the training he met with Lindo!

Lindo immediately gave him a bear hug as his flustered face told everything:

"I almost thought that I wouldn't be able to see you again, those human fellows are really scary from what my grandpa said!"

"Oh come on Lindo, you thought that I would die so easily? I have more than one life you know!"

"Yeah but you were against someone that even my grandpa couldn't fight against, I'm actually both impressed and happy that you came back so soon!"

Manitola came from behind as she smiled at Felix letting them have their reunion, Lindo blushed as he coughed and said:

"While you were away the alliance between the Haron, Tarot, and Balton continents finally found about the weakness of the Sparron continent's newly procured weapons and they want to deploy us to the frontlines, they even asked about you!"

Felix wasn't sure what to say at this point he just came back from a traumatic experience but on the other hand, he knew that the Sparron continent wasn't a dangerous location so he could finish this quickly and then get to training, he really wanted to see what was above the stars beside these green things.

He looked towards Lindo and nodded then looked at Manitola who looked to be rather down, Felix guessed that she thought the Sparron continent would be able to defend themselves with their new weapons but it was too much of a stretch.

Felix didn't know how to comfort her before he looked at Lindo, Lindo understood his signals then hugged Manitola in broad daylight. Some of the passersby's looked at them but didn't comment considering Lindo's social standing.

"Well since they needed them they might as well prepare for leaving..."
