I Have a Date with a Zombie

Chapter 1: : Zombie

In the evening of Cangzhou City, the burning clouds in the sky spread across the sky layer by layer like pieces of beautiful silk. The gorgeous orange-red color was mixed with golden yellow, and the afterglow in the sky had not dissipated until the sun had completely sunk.

However, under this splendid sky, this city, even every city under the blue sky, is full of gazes.

In the city, there is no breath of life. The whole street was splashed with blood, and there were a few human remains all over the ground. In the setting sun, roars suddenly came from the quiet street, and three or five people rushed out from the dim place not far away. There was also a little girl sitting in a wheelchair and being pushed forward.

But behind the crowd desperately escaping, there were a large group of roaring monsters. They have a human shape, but the flesh on their bodies is basically rotten. There was a roar like a beast, some lacking arms and legs, but still chasing forward without consciousness.

One of the people who ran away accidentally fell down, and all the monsters chasing after him swarmed over, actually dismembering the person alive. The monsters who didn't share the soup continued to chase the living creatures in front of them, without getting tired.

"Big brother!" An inch-headed man saw his elder brother being eaten. He raised the stick in his hand in grief and turned his head towards the monster group: "Damn zombies, I'm going to fight with you."

"Danger, don't go!" The people here tried to catch him, but he broke free.

He rushed into the group of corpses, jumped up and blasted the heads of several zombies with a stick, and blood splashed on his face, looking extraordinarily tragic. It was impossible for him to deal with thousands of zombies alone, and he was quickly overwhelmed by the corpses.

There was a man left, a girl in a wheelchair, and a big guy with a scumbag on his face. The expressions of the three people were relatively solemn, and all they thought of was running away.

The zombies behind screamed and chased them, and the suffocating smell filled the whole street. Suddenly, Uncle Hu stubbornly pushed the man back, and said: "I'm sorry, brother, you can block me first."

The girl in the wheelchair screamed, and the man quickly stabilized, staring at the uncle who had run away, and cursed: "Damn!"

Fortunately, the man reacted quickly. When the zombie did not catch up, he quickly adjusted his direction and passed through the alley on one side.

"Brother Meng Han, I'm scared." The girl tightly grasped the man's hand and hugged the rag doll in her arms tightly.

While pushing the girl to run, Meng Han comforted: "Moxi, don't be afraid, I am here."

His words seemed to give the girl extra encouragement. "Yes."

The girl in the wheelchair is called Luo Moxi, who is neighbors with Meng Han. Mo Xi's father is a scientist. He used to develop rare drugs for the country and obtained patented inventions. Now he is doing research for a pharmaceutical company.

Mo Xi had leg problems. When she was a child, a car accident prevented her legs from standing. In order for his daughter to stand up again, his father quit his job at the National Research Institute and became the most expensive researcher in a local pharmaceutical company. What he is studying now is how to make his daughter stand up again.

However, he had studied for more than ten years, and instead of waiting for his daughter to stand up, he waited for the outbreak of the zombie virus in the last days.

Meng Han ran away with Mo Xi all the way, turned around and ran into a clothing store on the side of the road, and hid quietly.

"Shhh, don't talk." Meng Han motioned to Moxi not to make a move: "I'll go and look inside, you are obedient."

Mo Xi nodded: "Okay."

He took a stick to the store to check if there were any zombies here. After confirming that there were no zombies in the clothing store, Meng Han returned to Moxi again: "Moxi, let's hide here for the time being, wait for a chance to rush out, and then find food."

Mo Xi is very well-behaved: "Yes." She held the rag doll in her arms, and said with some guilt: "Brother Meng Han, I'm the one who drags you down."

Meng Han sat on the ground next to her. Hearing what Mo Xi said, he raised his hand and rubbed her head: "Silly girl, what are you talking about? I promise uncle, I will take care of you." Looking at her, she was pale. With his face and messy hair, Meng Han sighed in his heart.

Mentioned his father, Mo Xi bowed his head and choked, "I will never see my father again in the future?"

Meng Han looked at Mo Xi distressedly. This girl saw her father bitten with her own eyes yesterday, she might be a shadow for a lifetime. "As long as you live, uncle will feel at ease."

Mo Xi bowed his head, and once he closed his eyes, he could think of the farewell to his father.

This zombie virus didn't know where it came from, it seemed that suddenly the whole city became like this. Everyone, you chase me and bite each other, as if this is normal.

Mo Xi and his father were hiding at home. As long as they didn't make a huge movement, they would not attract zombies, but the golden retriever who grew up with Mo Xi was outside. In order to save the golden retriever in the garden, his father had to venture out, but he alarmed the nearby zombies and attracted a group of zombies to their home.

Just when the father and daughter were almost eaten by zombies, Meng Han came. Meng Han rescued Moxi, but Luo's father was bitten by a zombie in order to protect Moxi. Seeing that the owner was bitten, the golden retriever in their house rushed to bite the zombie, and finally fell.

At the moment when he was surrounded by zombies, Father Luo tried his best to say: "Xiao Han, Xi'er will leave it to you, please... take care of... ah..."

"Dad...Dad..." Seeing his father surrounded by zombies, Mo Xi was anxious and angry, but hated that he could not move his legs.

"Mo Xi, wake up." Meng Han gently awakened Mo Xi who had fallen into a nightmare.

Mo Xi slowly opened his eyes, but there was darkness in front of him. She panicked: "Brother Meng Han, where are you?"

Meng Han quickly reached out and held her hand: "Don't be afraid, it's just that it's dark, we can't turn on the lights, it's okay." In the darkness, his voice was so calm, which made people feel safe.

Mo Xi nodded and looked at the zombies dangling in the moonlight through the glass. She asked desperately: "Brother Meng Han, do you think we still have a rescue?"

"Yes, of course, we can survive as long as we find other survivors." In Meng Han's heart, there is actually no bottom, but he needs to comfort Mo Xi.

"The old man, why did you do that?" Mo Xi still remembered Uncle Tian's push on Meng Han.

Meng Han looked at the innocent Mo Xi, but didn't know how to explain the sinister human heart to her. In such a situation, that uncle would choose to abandon his companions and flee, which is actually reasonable. After all, people don't die for themselves. However, Meng Han didn't want Mo Xi to know about these gloominess.

He whispered: "The uncle is helping us. He helped us draw away the zombies so that we can hide here."
