Chapter 22: 022, Furong Street

   Chapter 22 022, Furong Street

The old street where An Yan lives has a nice name: Furong Street.

The origin of the name is very simple. Two rows of hibiscus trees are planted on both sides of this old street, about three or four meters high. Every year from August to October, the street will turn into a dreamy pink all day long.

It stands to reason that such a beautiful street should attract some attention, but unfortunately, this is an old street, and the buildings on both sides are still in the style of two-story tile-roofed buildings, which are very old.

Secondly, the total length of this street is only about 400 meters. Most of the two-story houses on both sides are in the form of the first floor as a facade and the second floor as a residence.

This street is basically full of old residents. They have settled on this street since the houses were built in the 1990s.

All in all, the houses on this street have a construction history of more than ten years, so this old street is not very popular. Coupled with the shade of trees on both sides, the light is also slightly dim.

During the daytime, the whole street is deserted and there is no popularity at all, which makes the whole street feel a sense of tranquility.

Because of the old streets, the store business has not been very good in recent years. They have been closed and changed hands for several rounds. The business of large stores cannot continue, but the business of small stores is still possible.

Nowadays, the small stores on the street are mainly for the residents here to do some small business, and there are some office workers in the nearby office buildings who want to eat cheaply, and occasionally choose to eat on this old street.

For example: breakfast shop, noodle shop, tailor shop, hardware store, small clinic, canteen, etc.

Although it is not comparable to other lively residential areas, the basic living needs can still be met. How can I say that this area is also located on the 2.5th ring road of the city.

The materials that are not available in the old street can be bought in the nearby residential areas by walking for more than ten minutes, which is quite convenient overall.

And on the right side at the end of the old street, there is another horizontal alley: named Furong Alley.

The buildings in this alley are not the two-storey houses with stores in the old street, but small courtyards with single families. The alley is not large, and there are seven families living next to it.

The alleyway in the middle of the small residential courtyard is relatively narrow, and there is no way to plant it for greening. The largest means of transportation that can enter and exit the alleyway flexibly is a tricycle. Ordinary cars cannot be turned around when they come in, so they can only park on the old street.

Although the alleyways are relatively bare and monotonous, the house types and styles of Shengzai’s small courtyard are very consistent. Such a building full of sense of age is also unique.

Such old streets and alleys are not the only ones in this bustling city, but they are very special.

Rongcheng is the capital city of Shu Province, and its development in all aspects is very good. In recent years, high-rise buildings have been built on the ground one after another, and many old houses and old houses have been overturned and built into office buildings and commercial buildings.

Although the location of Furong Street is on the 2.5th ring road of the main city, it does not mean that every place in the main city can be effectively developed, and Furong Street is just a small branch of the main road.

Because the street area is neither big nor small, it can only be planned together with the surrounding land, which leads to conflicts in every planning, either the total area exceeds the standard, or it fails to meet the standard.

It just so happens that Furong Street is the last one to be abandoned every time, so that until now, the surrounding area has been developed, leaving this old street alone surrounded by tall buildings.

One new and one old, one noisy and one quiet, the stark contrast between the two makes Furong Street an embarrassing and special location.
