Chapter 16: Why Are You Alright?

The plan went considerably well. Lei Tang didn't bother to hold it against Si Xu. He clapped his hands and after a while, girls filed in and started serving the dishes.

He’s really acting like an ancient emperor. Jiang Ran sighed a little as she watched the girls move in an orderly manner.

She should feel lucky that at least the person she met after transmigrating was Si Xu. If it were someone else, she wondered the kind of fate that would be awaiting her.

As she thought about that, she couldn't help but look at the people around her again.
 

Si Xu didn't join Lei Tang and the others in their chat, but ate quietly.

Noticing Jiang Ran’s gaze, Si Xu silently put the fish that he had deboned on the plate into her bowl.
