3. Stick to your mouth and live

Based on the achievements made over the past year, stationery has been reborn.

Surely, it means that the store has been expanded to both sides, the variety of items has increased, and there is an indoor dining space where you can simply sit down and eat.

At this point, I was confused about the identity of whether it was a convenience store rather than a stationery. As a novice entrepreneur, I could see that it was inevitable for me to expand like an octopus.

Students seemed to like the fact that they could comfortably eat and enter.

As the stationery business grew, I decided to make deals with more diverse merchants. The trading company I was dealing with was fine, but it was a small start-up compared to the famous raw meat trading company.

“Sellus superior.”

After closing the stationery store and returning to my room on the second floor of the store, I muttered while fiddling with a small business card.

Sellus superior.

A super-giant merchant that fits within five fingers of the Empire. It is a store that handles all kinds of goods in line with the store’s motto, ‘if it exists, put a price tag on it’.

Why do I have the business card of such a company? The beginning of the incident must go back to the day before yesterday.

A peaceful morning business started as usual.

An antique wagon rattled and stopped at the front gate of the academy. The blue dove crest engraved on the carriage indicated that the owner of the carriage belonged to Sellus Company, which was said to fly.

After a while, the door opened and a female student with her hair in two pigtails got out, followed by a man who appeared to be her father, waving a suit.

Seeing the way he was unusually sharing his regards with his son, he looked like a freshman entering this year.

As the man checked her daughter’s bag, she carefully checked that she hadn’t forgotten anything, and her daughter grumbled that her father’s excessive affection was a burden.

After examining her daughter’s bag for a while, the man realized that something was wrong. Confirmed.

Every time she rummaged through her bag, the irritation on her face turned to astonishment, and from the front gate of the academy, the guards shouted that the front gate would be closed.

The man, restlessly stamping his feet, found my stationery crowded with students who were aiming for a last-minute attack before the door closed.

When our eyes met, I waved his hand at him and smiled. The man grabbed his daughter’s hand and ran into the store panting.

“Ha, a white handkerchief. Do you have a handkerchief?!”

“Of course. There are handkerchiefs made from the yarn of Verba Nue, a specialty of the Verba region, to rugged handkerchiefs that seem to have been made by her grandmother for her granddaughter.”

Academy freshmen must bring a handkerchief. It is used for welcome ceremonies and evening banquets, but it seemed to be an essential item in the social world.

On a day like this, it was the father who didn’t bring a handkerchief and the daughter who forgot what to prepare, and I, who was targeting freshmen who forgot to prepare like them, put handkerchiefs in the store.

“Verba! Verbaro! Two! No, three!”

I handed over a luxuriously wrapped Verbasan handkerchief. If the change was okay, the man put her handkerchief in her daughter’s bag and ran back to the school gate, and she was able to go to school safely before the door closed.

The man who managed to get his daughter to school came back to the store and handed me his business card, saying that he had survived thanks to him.

A business card from Sellus Co. That I received for that reason.

“The man who made the best company in the empire is also a father after all.”

Who would see him in the morning and think he was the boss of a thoroughly thorough group? He thinks he’s just a stupid daughter-loving dad all the time.

It was a good fortune to come in as a vine just at the moment when I was thinking about product expansion. If I kick this luck, the dead grandparents will come back to life and beat me up.

“Let’s go tomorrow.”

As soon as the morning dawned the next day, I wrote a notice saying that business was closed today and put it up in front of the store.

I was about to leave after checking if I had locked the door properly, but I heard footsteps approaching urgently. The distance between the sounds is narrow, so it seems to be running.

There was only one person who came so loudly at this hour.

“Aww!! Mister, please sell me just one bread and go. I deliberately skipped breakfast and came here after working out! Muscle loss! Muscle loss!!”

“Whew. Who compensates for muscle loss with bread… Take it quickly.”

The one who made a fuss in the morning was Francis, a second-year student who was going to school by running early in the morning.

He is a boy who loves sausage bread, and his goal is to become a knight in the future because of his excellent swordsmanship.

After receiving the money from Francis, I gasped and looked at the future knight who was stuffing bread into his mouth.

“It’s an instructor!”

“Oh yes. Go~”

After crushing tomatoes and mixing sugar, spread it on the once-cooked sausage and put it inside the bread and roll it around. It was a very simple type of pizza bread, but it was one of the menus that students often visit because of the bread’s taste.

I was barely able to do that much by groping for the memories of my previous life. It’s because I’m not a master’s doctor, and I can’t develop complex menus.

I took the concept appropriately, commissioned it, and developed a wrap-around sausage bread on my own through repeated trial and error.

“I wonder if the quality will go up if I go to Sellus.”

I quickly ran away from my seat before the students rushed in and wandered the streets just to start the day.

I also kept drafts of various objects that I had only envisioned in my head just in case. It was because I wondered if Sellus Company would take care of all of this and make it neat.

Was it a long walk? I arrived at the suburbs of Bulandir around the time the sun filled the gloomy sky.

The head office of Sellus, located in the suburbs of Bulandir, said to have the lowest land prices in the capital of the empire, was bustling with huge queues of wagons from the morning.

“Get out the wagon!!”

“What?! Did you just talk nonsense?”

“Get out of the car!!”

I was breathless when I arrived at the scene where shouting and swearing were rampant.

The ferocious coachman started a fight, swearing and swearing, and it was quieted down only after the merchant’s privates forcibly stopped them.

I was overwhelmed by the gigantic front door of the main store of Sellus Co.

“What business did you come for?”

As I looked around the shop in a daze, the private guarding the entrance walked over and talked to me.

The soldier’s attitude was not coercive, as his appearance was unkempt to be judged as a spy or a behemoth.

“Ah. My name is Raj and I run the academy stationery store in front of the academy.”

“Academy Stationery? Is it a rumored place these days?”

“Do you know?”

The soldier responded to my introduction with a knowing look. Rumors had already spread like this. I was worried that rumors might be circulating in a bad way even as I raised my nose.

“Everyone knows. There is no parent raising children who doesn’t know. Students are taking money from their noses.”

“Ah…”

Everything people think is there.

“hahahahaha! Just kidding. Everything with light has shadows. So what’s the business?”

The private soldier smiled at my dark clouded face and reassured me. It’s not unexpected, but hearing it in person had no choice but to damage my mentality.

“Keuhmm. I got a business card from Sellus-nim. He said he wanted to talk about business.”

I took out Sellus’ business card from my pocket and handed it to the private. When I showed him my business card, the playfulness faded from his face and it changed to a serious one.

“Ooh… I’ll check it out.”

After receiving the business card, the private entered the store. While he disappeared somewhere, I passed the time looking around.

Then, with the sound of horses’ hooves, the majestic and huge front door slowly began to open.

“Take care!”

“Please stay inside!”

A carriage darted through the front door and passed in front of me. The window of the carriage was open, and a girl with pigtails sticking her head out shouted in the direction of the shop, feeling fed up.

I turned my gaze to the direction of her voice and found a man panting as if he had given up while chasing the wagon.

Behind the man, people who seemed to be the butler and soldiers were rushing forward, and the butler who reached the man was seen nagging with an angry voice.

“If you run out like this again, I will stop!!”

“Your daughter… Hide your child… You can see her off on her way to school!”

“I have to send you off, but I can’t chase after you as if you were saying goodbye!!”

As if the old butler didn’t notice anything in particular, the man looked at the street where the carriage carrying his daughter had disappeared with dim eyes.

While the wide open front door closed and opened again when Sellus appeared, the man stared at me with a frown as if he had spotted me standing next to the front door.

Then they clapped their hands as if they had remembered my true identity and started approaching me.

“Sellus-sama!!”

The old butler and the soldiers, who were about to turn around as if they thought their owner would come back into the building, chased the owner as he ambled towards the front door.

“Oh! You!”

“Hello.”

Unlike then, I politely bowed and greeted him.

“Don’t do that! Thanks to the real thing, my heart is attached! Thank you for not forgetting to visit me! If you had given me a message, I would have sent a wagon. It would have been a long way…”

Sellus raised me up, took my hand, and shook it violently.

“No. It was interesting to be able to exercise in the morning and see the start of the day at Sellus.”

At my words of modesty, Sellus laughed.

“It’s not like this, let’s go in and talk! Stationery! It’s just amazing when you think about it! Come on, come on!”

As I entered the store while being welcomed by Sellus, I drew attention from all directions. The man who did business with Sellus and the woman who managed the goods.

Feels like being an important person.

The feeling was quite good.
