How to Live as the Enemy Prince

< Chapter 14 - Long time no see (5) >

- Elvish, roses, pebbles, axis of time, Sispanian.

And Serenti.

Calian took a step back, engraving a bunch of words in his brain. Then Jan stepped up and said.

"Let me take a look. Stay back, it's dangerous."

Jan says, "Whatever courage you have, Calian shakes his head." Then I walked back one step at a time.

You take five or six steps back and the light disappears from the marble. Of course, the flower's light disappeared.

Take a few more steps forward.

Flowers and stones glow together.

Soon, Kalian looks around the rose garden. But I couldn't find anything that made the same light.

After confirming that there are no more of the same flowers, Calian returns to where he was. He carefully walked in front of the flowers and reached out his right hand with a stone in his left hand to touch the petals.

Let's do it.

- Pass.

The red petal quickly withers and falls to the ground. Along with him, the light of the pebble disappeared.

Calian makes a bewildering sound when he realizes he put his hand on something unexpected.

"Oops."

The fallen petals soon crumbled like black ashes and scattered into the air.

It seems that the time that stopped seemed to have flowed in an instant, that's what Kalian thought. Then I caught the tail of the idea unconsciously.

'Time.'

I couldn't tell when the rose was blooming. But what if.

"If it's been blooming for a long time."

Calian's eyes settle quietly, assuming so.

Shea listened to the words of time ahead of others and replied.

And flowers that have been blooming for a long time as if they had stopped time.

"Again, correcting the wrong time."

Kalian frowns.

If we're going to fix time, the first thing we need to do is fix Kalian himself. Since such a Khalian is standing here in one piece, the conclusion I came up with is most likely not the right answer.

- She doesn't want you to act rashly.

The Sispanian voice echoes through your memory.

Because of its frustration, Calian closes his eyes for a long, long time to put something dirty into his teeth.

"Time flies in front of my eyes and I don't want you to act rashly."

And I muttered in a cynical manner.

* * *

Alan doesn't have a butler or servant.

The dizziness was solved by magic, and the reason was that wizards didn't like to have outsiders in the house as much as they did.

Turns out there's only one person in Cairosis that Alan hired. It was only Oscar the horseman.

"Manasil, you're home early today."

Oscar, who's been driving Allen's famous mule wagon for almost half a year, says with a friendly smile.

Even though it was quick, it was already after darkness, but after a long time, I was on my way home, smelling the night air, not dawn. Even if Remain had not chosen to have dinner with the princes, he would not have dreamed of a lifetime.

Alan smiles similarly in Oscar's greeting.

"Let's run away."

"Yes? Escape?"

Oscar was surprised and asked, and Alan got on the wagon instead of answering. The voice of Allan seems exhilarating somewhere beyond the bushes behind the stable.

"The king has gone to dinner. In the meantime, we need to get out of here quietly while we clear out the Great River."

Apparently, Remain asked me to finish my work with the Wizards after supper. And Alan pretended he didn't hear it, and then he got out of here after finishing up a few quick things.

When he realized he was gone, his mouth reopened with pride as to what Remain would look like.

"My daughter-in-law and granddaughter have arrived in Libern today. How could you be so careless? Don't you think it's better to ask Dory to go home on her own these days? You enjoyed pushing the old man around so much."

Oscar replied with a big smile.

"I see. I see. I'll be on my way."

Oscar immediately began releasing the rope that secured the horse's harness.

Suddenly, Alan sighs.

He noticed that someone was rushing towards the wagon.

If Remain didn't send it, no one would come to take Alan home. Alan opens his mouth and says,

"No, did you already know where you rolled your food?"

"Yes?"

The horse still hasn't noticed that Alan has someone running to him, and he sighs again without answering.

Soon, you hear Alan calling out in haste from afar.

"Lord Manasil, please wait. The king is looking for you."

Oscar then understands Alan's sigh and groaning, and speaks out of the window.

"Manasil. I'm afraid you won't be able to escape."

In the end, Alan had to go back to the Arfia Palace, stumbling back behind Oscar, who was a little sorry for not leaving early.

When you meet Remain, you must say something. Making that commitment.

But it wasn't the office where the steward led Alan.

Alan frowns and mutters as he feels a familiar aura in the middle of the Arfia palace's patronage.

"You're eating what your son gave up for you."

Let's have another drink. Also, on a cold night like this.

Alan shakes his head. You move your finger one more time to warp directly in front of Remain. You can see Remain holding up his head as he pours his wine into the glass.

"The Wizard was right to see this coming."

I thought Jan would be quite surprised, but it is surprisingly grave. Alan grumbles as the fun disappears.

"If you sit outside on a day like this, your mouth goes back to your mouth."

Then he bounced his hand up the temperature around Remain a little bit. You hear Le Maine's mouth hiss as she feels warm.

"There's no one like a wizard against liquor."

Le Maine taps the floor across from her.

Allen, who was fluttered to the bottom of Remain's hand without saying anything else, handed him a bottle of wine and poured him a glass. Then he poured his own into an empty cup in front of him.

After eating dinner with three princes, all of a sudden, it's booze.

Instead of asking what happened, Alan smashes his cup into Remain's cup.

"It only hurts when I think about the past."

"There's magic in people."

"There must be such a thing."

I don't think Alan's self-consciousness is good for Kalian. Remain stares at Allen, gazing at him from a dazed distance.

"It's obvious. Now that we've all seen three adult princes at once, you can't imagine how many more of these seats there will be in the future. Worrying about the two who would be pushed out of the competition, he must have remembered his brother who was locked away and regretted bringing silica in."

I'll give birth to only one. I'll make three princes and regret it.

While thinking about this for a moment, Alan realizes that Callian is the youngest and shakes his head. Since Remain had three children, he met such a beautiful disciple.

"How well you know him."

"Just stay out front."

Allen finished his vengeance on Le Maine, who had stopped him early today by not telling him how he knew about it.

Since then, they've only exchanged drinks without saying a word.

Alan opens his mouth again around the time the sound of the water flowing in the stream becomes more familiar to him.

"Actually, I didn't think the three princes combined could follow Chase."

"You mean the prince of Cecritia."

Remain was suddenly silently told instead of saying, "Why are you comparing others' children?"

Alan nods and Remain smiles deeply.

"It's amazing how that snake-like creature had such a son under Devil. That's what I thought."

"Yes. By the way, your three sons are not as great as Chase, but apparently they're not. Don't worry, I'll make my living on my own."

Remain's eyes glaze at Alan for a moment.

It's because there was one person who didn't seem to be able to prepare for my life. Immediately, Remain opened his mouth in a low voice.

"One day, Calian gets lost."

It didn't go on for a while. Le Maine drinks one more sip of wine and then talks.

"I have a favor to ask of you."

If Callian can't sit on the crown prince, he asks you to save him and escape. There was only one reason to ask Alan for it. It's because there was very little chance of her being alive in the event that Callian was pushed out.

"I'm sure you'd understand that, and I'm very fond of Calian, so I'd like to ask you to do me a favor."

Alan suddenly laughs as he hears Remain's words after serious concern. Then he shakes his head.

"May I take care of your youngest son?"

"What does that mean?"

Remain's face frowns widely, as Allen considers his intention to refuse. Alan looks at it and asks with playful eyes.

"Do you know how much a baby elephant loves your youngest son?"

Then the eyes of Remaine, who was also confident in Alan's warp, rise.

If Callian were to be pushed out, he would have to worry about the lives of the other two princes, not about the lives of the other two princes, so Alan realized he didn't have to.

Eventually, the alcohol broke completely.

* * *

Kalian hasn't gone to breakfast for two days.

He gave a reason for the sincerity and excuses that the Queen Dowager had not yet been released.

"Prince, are you planning on biting breakfast tomorrow?"

On the second night, Yan asked with a worried voice.

He said it because he was concerned about the connection Silica made with referring to the Crown Prince or the sound of concern for Kalian's health.

"Until tomorrow. I'll be there the day after tomorrow."

Instead of realizing or complaining about returning to a life I couldn't do every morning, Calian only replied like this.

Jando Kalian nods without complaining, knowing why he's not at breakfast.

"Yes, I'll tell her that. So I'll be going now. Make sure you close the windows before you go to sleep."

"Got it."

Jan finally greets you, locking the door outside, and a sigh comes out of Calian's mouth.

"Phew."

There's only one reason that Kalian doesn't go to breakfast.

It was Randall.

Kalyan only associated Randel with the glow of the rose. There was not a single logical reason. It was just Randall's garden.

I didn't even suspect that the marble and Randall were involved. I was just thinking, maybe Randall stopped Rose's time. The blood of the Templars was flowing on Randall as well.

However, since there is no evidence to support such a wild suspicion, it was Kalian who decided to watch Randall's march first.

As I think about it, I'm not willing to face Randall, because I'm unconsciously suspicious of him. Isn't piercing people's minds the same level as Alan's?

After lying in bed like that, Kalian soon falls into a deep sleep.

And a long time later, just before dawn.

- Thanksgiving.

The wind shakes the curtain, and Kalian's closed eyes blur.

'Intruders.'

I felt the footsteps that killed someone's voice.

And Jan must have locked the door.

Unlocking something other than Yann's key triggers the alarm magic created by the Sispanians. So no one came in for a visit.

Then I remembered that I fell asleep with my spear open. The window alarm magic has not been triggered.

'I should have listened to Yan. This is going to be a pain in the ass.'

Kalian smiles slightly.

And you lie still, just waiting for the intruder to get close.

'I've already welcomed you. I don't know what to do.'

Or Randall.

Who sent you? Thinking about that.

After a short while, I heard a silent curtain bend.

Calian frowns as he looks at the color of the intruder approaching suddenly.

It was the energy of a familiar, but unexpected person.

Eventually, Kalian sat up, postponing his attempt to make the sword. Then he looked at the intruder with sharp, shining eyes.

"What is it?"

The intruder leaves his face uncovered.

And he wasn't surprised that Kalian was awake. I didn't pay much attention to the cautious words of Kalian. He lowers his voice, looking into Calian's eyes.

"You said you could use some magic, and you thought you'd wake up in the wind."

There was no reason for it to welcome anyone into the window at this time. Because of this, Kalian opens his mouth, not covering his unpleasant face.

"I'm asking why you're here. At times like this, like this."

Seeing Calian expressing hostility from his eyes to his voice, one of the customers' mouths twists.
