How to Live as the Enemy Prince

< Chapter 10. You've come too far (2) >

Earl Hale Latran didn't look so good.

The person who was piled up because of the Kalian couldn't be unravelled, so I sharpened my teeth all night long.

"I've been looking into it ever since I returned the gift. Cocky bastard."

A colorful insult came out on its own.

In front of his eyes, Calian said that he was the Prince of Cairys, like a liver, a gall, and all that, but not even in his heart.

Those who don't know will ask if an Earl with a single copper mine has the time to look down on the prince. However, Hale's belief was not in the copper mine, but in the connections he had kept with the central noble of Cairys for a long time.

Of course, the first of them is the Marquis of Brissen.

The Bricen Merchant Guild was delivering copper cheaply and could hardly reach the kite. All the money that goes into this and that goes into the hands of Earl Brissen. As such, not long ago, I was promised a wealthy territory close to Cairosis.

However, Silica had an accident. You poisoned Callian.

After getting a cold, everyone who knows it knows it even though it's numb.

Thinking about it, Hale curses at Silica for a moment.

"Fool. If you did your job, you'd kill him."

However, the incident resulted in the fulfilment of the promise being postponed to a distant future. Not only that, the huge revenues from the dealings with the Bricen Merchant Guild have been cut short.

So by now, Hale thought that the copper field was still under the feet of the flower garden because of the Kalian who had messed with Silica's sowing.

That's when the Kalian came for me.

The day we made the deal with the blue sole bird. I didn't like it from that moment onwards, but as soon as I saw your face, you gave me a pinkie glass. My position as Prince has pushed me beyond my limits.

Even Khalian and Jan's actions to the Chamberlain Malcolm were enraging Hale.

"I don't want to pretend like I got the world for just flirting with a wizard. Seeing him yesterday, he seems to think I'm in the same class as the other princes. If either of you becomes king, you're like a lowly bloodline who doesn't even know he's lost his place."

Malcolm knocks on his door as he picks out a word to hang himself on the way if anyone hears him.

- Knock knock.

"Earl, you're up."

"Uh, come in for a second."

Malcolm comes in with a cautious gesture. Hale says, fearful to hear the door closing.

"Have you been in touch with him again?"

I was talking about a blue seagull I had never met because of the time I had promised because of Kalian. Hearing that, the butler tightened his head.

"There is no contact yet. I'll be in touch today, so I'll see you tonight."

Hale slammed the table.

"It's my fault for giving you a deacon position as a priest! There will be no more fools like you!"

Malcolm's shoulders twitch. Hale's hand hits the window this time. It meant to look at the rainfall.

"Since it's such a bad day, isn't that commoner's child going to sleep here today?"

Then the butler, knowing Hale's intentions, bows his head.

"Are you suggesting we postpone the schedule?"

"Yes, this has happened. Just let the prince go and let's make a deal."

"Yes, I understand."

After that, Hale looked at the clothes that he was prepared to wear today. Somehow, I didn't like how the color looked as gross as the sky today.

"Do you have any other clothes? Isn't that a little convenient?"

Malcolm replied calmly, looking at Hale, who said that while looking at the jacket with the gold buttons.

"I'll tell them to find something else."

"Yes. Each and every one of them should press their noses to make sure they stay very quiet."

Immediately, the maids came into the room with several sets of clothes. Hale snorts and starts picking up his clothes again.

* * *

When the morning was over, Jan brought a loaf of bread and a tray of cold tea. Jan first told me what the knight Egg had said.

"Earl Latran and his butler were out all night."

I was thinking it would be. Because of this, Khalian picks up some bread that Jan hasn't put down yet and chews off a bite and nods.

"And the Earl asked me if I could slow down the breakfast today."

"Why?"

Jan replied with a very grumpy face on behalf of Calian, who asked without any expression on his face.

"What should I do if I feel bad about the rain?"

"You sound like you're in the mood. Maybe he's just picking out his clothes."

I can't help it.

Now Hale is complaining about what happened yesterday.

The Earl's position is never low. I completely ignored Hale's request for an apology and put her to sleep at the table, so she told me that she was uncomfortable with him.

However, since Khalian was also not looking at Hale gently, he did not intend to accept such protests.

"Say no. Get out on time."

"Yes, I will."

Soon, Kalian tore out the bread in his hand the size of his fingernails and placed it here and there on the tea table. Jan clears out Calian's deliberate table and stops for a moment instead of lowering the car.

- Food duck!

Then a white dove sat on the table, hearing a small flapping sound from where Calian's bed had been. Then I started pecking at the bread that I had put down.

Jan asked me carefully because Kalian's eyes were puffy as she watched the birds eat bread.

"Are you sure you want to keep that bird?"

Calian stood up and replied, carefully hugging the bird who had eaten all the pieces of bread.

"No. I'm thinking about returning it to its owner."

A cage sits next to Kalian's bed. It was left by Arsen who came to see me at dawn.

Callian opens the cage and puts the bird inside. Either you've ridden a lot of people's hands, or the bird that was still in Calian's hand moved on its own and went into the cage.

"Suddenly a bird came in, and there was a master."

"That's right."

Yan was surprised when he saw the cage lying next to the bed in the morning. He took some more bread, put it in the cage, sat back down, and replied.

Calian took more than the bread he gave the birds. And more bread was given to the birds. The rest of the bread goes into Calian's mouth.

Jan looks at why you eat it and says,

"You have to go to breakfast and fill your stomach with it."

Calian puts the remaining piece of bread in his mouth and mutters. It was never seen in the palace.

"Yummy. And I don't eat much at breakfast anyway."

The meal with Hale Latran is uncomfortable, so Jan clears the table and sets down his car. After that, he walked to the cage and looked at the bird's ankle.

"The Old West?"

I have now seen a small canister tied around the ankle of a bird that can hold a letter. Callian replies as if it was nothing.

"Yes. Just open the window and I'll go to the owner."

More glamorous, beautiful, dangerous, blue soles than me.

The night before, Calian flew over to give the news to the Blue Soldier. He glanced at the windshield that had been handed to him.

* * *

Hale was also making too many laughs.

Chamberlain Malcolm bows, his head obscured. And there was deeper, deeper doubt on Yan's face than anyone else.

You said you weren't going to eat much. '

He looked just like this.

Khalian, who was within Yan's gaze, was very enthusiastic and was eating. After eating most of the bread that birds will eat, they are eating well in the morning.

Thanks to you, Hale is in trouble, Hale.

Since the prince didn't pass on the first word, he was eating only food, because the Earl sitting in front of him had to say nothing and press down on what he wanted to say. Hale speaks out again in his mind.

Calian's eyes narrow as he glances at that face.

Hale must have hidden it, but not all the fierce eyes that were up all night. Thanks to this, Kalian was able to determine exactly what attitude he should have at this table.

"Oh, right. Talk to me."

Soon, Calian opens his mouth to say he's not sorry at all.

"I forgot to let the Earl speak. I've never had a meal with someone lower than myself."

Hale laughs more, taking care not to show his angry face.

"Do you like eating right?"

"Yes, it's delicious."

Calian nods softly. I can't lie to you that I'm eating so well.

Hale makes a happy face.

"I was worried that it might be uncomfortable for you to face me because you refused my gift earlier. It would be an honor to serve you a meal. But if you don't mind me asking, why did you refuse my gift?"

Callian replied with a tone that he had heard it for no particular reason.

"I don't know who that is. That's not a name I've ever heard. You don't even have one or two earls."

He was the perfect local aristocrat.

Jan bites the inside of his lips tightly. Because I shouldn't have laughed.

Hale's mouth trembles. because I had to smile.

"· · · · · · · You may not know. But I'm glad you know my name now."

Hale grips his fist tightly under the table.

Son of a bitch! '

After realizing how Khalian treats himself again, Hale decided to ask for an explanation for what Khalian put him to sleep at his own pace yesterday. I didn't feel like eating until I heard you say sorry.

However, I was right to make a mockery in front of Kalian, acting or not, so I offered an apology for him first.

"Anyway, I made a big mistake yesterday."

"I'm fine."

Kalian quickly replies, as if he was waiting for it to come out. Hale opens his mouth again.

"By the way, did you mention magic to me yesterday?"

"I put him to sleep before I was any more unpleasant."

Hale opens his mouth.

Now, I'm not saying that Calian was okay with the injection, but that he was okay with putting him to sleep before he became unpleasant.

"Ah, that's right."

"So you don't have to care anymore. The Earl would never have faced the royal family like this, but he could have made a mistake. I understand."

Kalian smiles and nods once.

I couldn't protest. I couldn't find a good response to the sound that didn't sound like I slept because it seemed offensive.

In the end, Hale never complained about him. Rather, I apologized and was forgiven.

I can't help but explode.

"But why did you wait so long last night?"

The expression "Andal" reaches back into Hale's hands, holding a fork. Calian looks directly at the hand and sees Hale. When I looked into unfamiliar red eyes, Hale replied, avoiding my gaze.

"I wanted to apologize for my mistake."

Khalian nods and smiles slightly.

"The investigation of the man who attacked me yesterday was tiresome and resting. Since the Earl is trying to apologize to me, that's okay too."

It was all Hale's fault.

Calian, who forgives everything with a generous heart, quietly picks up his tea and opens his mouth again.

"I noticed something strange during the investigation."

Hale glares at you for a moment.

An assailant by the name of Norton tried to find out about the attack on Calian, but he was unable to get close to the twenty knights escorting him. That's why Hale couldn't find any details.

In the meantime, Hale hasn't lived a very clean life.

You feel anxious about Norton's connection to him, even if you do. The seared hale drinks water.

Callian, whose smile has just disappeared completely, looks at Hale and says,

"I saw a strange man in Cairosis with the name of a bird. The men who attacked me had nothing to do with the other birds. So we're also looking at people with bird names."

Hale picks up his handkerchief and quickly covers his mouth, almost spitting water out of his mouth, surprised by what Kalian said.

A few drops of water fell into Hale's clothes and hands. Malcolm rushes up and tries to wipe it off, and Hale splits his hands nervously.

I have thoughts in Hale's head.

"Sarah. There's nothing like a bird in Cecretia. You mean you knew the blue sole bird? Why the hell is there talk about Cecretia Sezards when we're investigating the assailants? Are you suggesting that the Sage of Cecretia tried to kill him? Why?"

Malcolm, a high priest, posed too much to Hale for a moment, but Hale's eyes were shaking. Kalian doesn't miss them both.

And I grabbed the salad like I didn't see anything.

Hale thinks he should meet a guy named Norton. I thought that I would be able to respond if I knew what was going on.

"My prince, then I will assist you in your investigation. It's disrespectful just to have someone in Latran who wanted to harm the prince. So let me join you."

Callian gestures.

"You don't have to. Everything we've seen so far has already been delivered to the palace. So you don't have to worry about him. Nothing will happen if there's no connection."

Somehow, the last word resonated.

Hale frowns without even knowing it.
