Hogwarts: The Book of Laws

Chapter 39 Flying Lesson

After Lien looked at the bulletin board, he finally understood why the little wizards were so happy.

There will be a flying lesson tomorrow.

Flying is something that all humans look forward to.

Although the little wizards were having a lively discussion, Rean had no intention of joining in.

The props he made are almost finished, and he can basically accompany Snape to Gaunt's old house this weekend.

What Lean was making was a cloak, it didn't need to be good, it just needed to be able to handle Saturday's situation.

The cloak was purchased in Diagon Alley at the beginning of school. Rean cast a defensive spell on it, which could completely block spell damage up to the upper limit. But Lien thought for a moment and cast a short-distance teleportation spell on the cloak.

Only when using this spell, you need to send a magic crystal to shatter.

Rean placed a crystal at the button of the cloak, and the other two crystals were placed inside the cloak on both sides of his body.

The three crystals provide energy together, so the defensive power of this cloak will be greatly improved.

After carefully placing the last crystal, Rean breathed a sigh of relief.

This cloak is the first magical equipment that Lien made by himself.

Lien stood up, put on his cloak, looked around, and felt pretty good.

"But, how to test it? You can't hit yourself. Forget it, let's try it with Professor Snape tomorrow."

After wearing it and feeling it for a while, Lien put the cloak away.

Time flies so fast, the flying lesson that the little wizards are most looking forward to has just arrived.

Flying lessons are held on the grass outside Hogwarts Castle. When the little wizards came to the flying lesson venue, there were two rows of brooms neatly placed on the ground.

"Hell, it's an antique like Comet 180." Malfoy spoke the moment he saw the broom.

"The brooms I ride on at home are better than this one. I'm really worried about whether I'll fall halfway through the sky." Malfoy saw a little wizard looking this way, so he continued.

Rean walked over to a broom and looked at it carefully.

The wooden handle at the front of the broom was very smooth to the touch, but the rest of it looked a little burr. The broom tip at the tail is also sparse, like a middle-aged man's hair that is no longer as thick as before.

"Dudu~dudu~"

Before Li En could look at it for long, there was a whistle in his ears.

"Okay, everyone, stand next to the brooms. Gryffindors stand in one row, and Slytherins stand in one row. Children, get moving."

Mrs. Huo Qi glanced at the little wizards, and then said loudly.

After hearing this, the little wizards who were originally a little afraid of Mrs. Huo Qi immediately rushed to the broom. After all, everyone wanted to choose a good-looking broom.

These brooms look old, after all.

Lien didn't mind and just found a broom.

After all the little wizards stood still, Mrs. Huo Qi began to explain the essentials of flying.

"First, we need to open our hands, palms down, and then shout loudly and emotionally: 'UP'."

After Mrs. Huo Qi finished speaking, she glanced at the little wizards with eagle-like eyes.

Seeing that they were motionless, Mrs. Huo Qi said doubtfully: "Children, why don't you move?"

After getting Mrs. Huo Qi's permission, the little wizards began to try it. For a while, the sounds on the grass began to fall one after another.

Just like in the original novel, Harry succeeded with just one shout, and Malfoy succeeded with the second.

It took Lien about six or seven attempts before he succeeded, which is also the talent level of most young wizards.

Hermione, who noticed this, was relieved. After all, it only took her four times to succeed.

After all the little wizards were able to call the brooms from the grass into their hands, Mrs. Hooch began the next step of teaching, which was the preliminary attempt to fly.

"Mr. Longbottom, Mr. Longbottom, please come down..." Neville still flew up uncontrollably.

"Destiny." Looking at Neville slowly floating into the sky, Lean said to himself.

Neville suddenly stopped in the air, as if he had control of the broom, which made Mrs. Hooch breathe a slight sigh of relief.

However, immediately after, the broom Neville stepped on suddenly went crazy and flew into the distance at a speed that should not appear on this type of broom.

"Mr. Longbottom..." Mrs. Hooch shouted.

"Curse stop... Curse stop..." Mrs. Huo Qi kept releasing magic to stop the out-of-control broom, but because the broom was too fast, the magic kept failing.

Rean watched with a smile on Neville's face as he continued to perform various difficult movements over the castle, without any reaction at all.

In the end, Neville was sent to the infirmary by Mrs. Hooch, and Malfoy also picked up the memory ball.

Everything developed as in the original work. After a fight, Harry grabbed the memory ball, which was then taken away by Professor McGonagall.

Lean knew that Harry had become Gryffindor's Seeker.

"Does anyone know where Mr. Potter went?" When Mrs. Hooch came back, she found that one of her students was missing.

This frightened Mrs. Huo Qi, so she sent one of them to the infirmary. Another one disappeared, and the lesson was lost.

"Harry was called away by Professor McGonagall, Professor." Seeing no one answered, Ron had no choice but to walk out.

Although he looked tall, the tone of his voice didn't seem to match his stature.

The smile on Malfoy's face froze for a moment, and he suddenly realized that he seemed to have made a mistake just now.

Then, he thought about how he seemed to have to go to Snape's office every night to receive punishment. If Snape knew that he had deducted points for Slytherin...

Malfoy trembled all over and shook his head, trying to get rid of all those bad thoughts.

"What's wrong with you, Mr. Malfoy? Are you feeling unwell?" Mrs. Huo Qi was very tired. The first flying lesson of the year was not going well.

She couldn't help but look at the little wizard present, and sighed silently in her heart. Such a simple operation is full of problems. When they learn some flying skills in the future, won't half of them have to go to the school hospital?

This is truly the worst class I have ever led!

Mrs. Huo Qi thought so.

Fortunately, Ron also knew that he couldn't tell about Harry and Malfoy flying into the sky. After reporting it, he stopped talking.

This also made Malfoy quietly sigh in relief.

After Neville's incident, the little wizards also had a little fear of flying lessons, and they didn't dare to let go too much when flying.

This made Mrs. Huo Qi even more disappointed.

Finally, the flying lesson ended in a strange atmosphere.
