Chapter 61: Buying mice is, of course, feeding owls

In order to prevent Harry Potter from sending himself away, Leonard had to take Harry Potter to go shopping in Diagon Alley.

There is no exaggerated feeling of walking down the street with Harry Potter, and not everyone will make strange noises and run to Harry Potter to take a photo or sign an autograph.

In fact, almost no one noticed that this little boy was the savior who defeated Voldemort.

And Harry Potter is not arrogant because of his name, and he has long been accustomed to the feeling of not being valued when he is struggling to survive at his uncle’s and aunt’s house.

At this time, he only felt very free and comfortable, especially after spending days in his room studying magic day and night, and then going shopping with his friends, this feeling was refreshing.

In the morning, when Diagon Alley is most lively, many shops are already open.

And Leonard’s torture began at this time.

“Look! Leonard, that’s where Quidditch supplies are sold, and I’ve heard that Quidditch is a favorite sport among wizards! ”

“It’s a candy store, I haven’t been to the candy store here, do you want to check it out?” Leonard? ”

“What does this shop do? Belch… It stinks, huh? Leonard, is that boss saying hello to you? Shall we go in? ”

“Leonard…”

“…… Leonard”

…………

Leonard regretted it, he felt that he should not have invited Harry Potter to visit Diagon Alley, it was really noisy.

Leonard can understand Harry Potter’s enthusiasm, after all, Harry Potter has not had many friends since he was a child, which has caused his habit of treating others as friends wholeheartedly.

But fortunately, Harry Potter is still measured, and after Leonard explicitly refused him to go: candy stores, cold drink shops, pharmacies, he didn’t mention it again, or happily followed Leonard all the way.

This is like the silly son of the landlord’s family.

The two grinded and walked for more than twenty minutes through the downtown area of Diagon Alley to a shop selling magical animals.

Before they saw this sign of the Magic Zoo, the two smelled a not-so-nice stench.

“It smells really bad here.” Harry Potter covered his nose and said.

“The shops that sell animals are similar.” Leonard said as he looked at the shop.

In front of the shop are some magical animals that are on display, turtles with gemstones on their shells, huge orange snails, some unknown creatures like furry dolls, rabbits with rubber-like elastic bodies, cats of different colors, and large gray-black rats.

Leonard nodded when he saw the big rat, quite satisfied.

Harry Potter looked at the animals curiously, his fingers moving as if he wanted to touch these strange-looking animals.

“Don’t touch it, be careful of poison.” Leonard noticed the savior’s little hand that had nowhere to rest, and reminded.

“That’s right,” came out of the shop, a man in a sackcloth robe, who looked about thirty or forty years old, slightly chubby, and had a kind expression.

“A lot of magical animals are dangerous, so it’s best not to touch magical animals you don’t know, even if they are friendly.”

“Thanks for the reminder.” Harry Potter said politely.

“You’re welcome.” The man smiled, his gaze suddenly fell on Harry Potter’s face, and the sudden change in expression gave Leonard a premonition…

Sure enough, the man’s expression became wonderful.

“Oh, Merlin’s beard, you’re Harry Potter!” The man said excitedly, “It’s an honor to meet you, I’m the owner of this store, my name is Burton Philim.” ”

“Hello, Mr. Filim, I’m Harry Potter and this is my friend Leonard William.” Harry Potter said.

The two began a pleasant chat, which made Leonard, who really planned to shop, helpless.

The name of Savior is really troublesome.

The boss Philim chatted with Harry Potter for a while before reacting, there was another person, embarrassed to nod at Leonard: “Sorry, I’m a little too excited, are you two here to buy magical beasts as pets?” ”

“It’s Leonard who wants to buy something.” Harry Potter said, looking at Leonard, “Leonard, what are you going to buy?” ”

“How do rats sell?” Leonard asked, pointing to a group of black rats in the cage.

“Are you going to buy mice?” Harry Potter bent down and looked at the mice in the cage, although these mice were still clean, it was quite frightening to treat this harmful animal as a pet.

“These mice are all very healthy little guys, thirteen sikko, but if you are a friend of Harry Potter, I can give you a discount, ten sikko.” Philim said generously.

Harry Potter was a little embarrassed to say this, and he was about to say something thankful when he heard Leonard’s calm voice sound: “If I buy more, can I get another discount?” ”

“Buy more? How much do you want? Philim asked suspiciously.

“Let’s buy twelve first.” Leonard thought for a moment and said.

Twelve were divided into three batches to make a rough control variable, one batch was used as a blank control, one batch was taken with ordinary aconitum, and one batch was taken with fortified aconitum fruit to compare the toxicity of fortified aconitum fruit.

“Leonard, what do you want so many rats for?” Harry Potter asked in surprise.

So many rats, even just in a cage, made his scalp tingle.

Leonard didn’t answer, but Philim over there answered.

“Oh, you’re planning to do potions experiments, right? It seems to be a very studious little wizard. “Philim wasn’t intimidated by the amount.

Wizards keep animals such as mice or toads that are still used as experimental potions, and very few people actually treat mice as pets.

“Nope.” Leonard didn’t like people guessing his thoughts: “Actually, I was going to buy to feed my owls, and I think mice eat healthier than the dry feed for mice at the babbling owl shop.” ”

“Ah, this…” Filim was stunned for a moment, and it took a long time before he held out a sentence, “Sounds good.” ”

Feed the owls?

Harry Potter immediately remembered his own Hedwig, who seemed to have been feeding his owls nuts, which was not good.

“Then bring me ten.” Harry Potter said, “I think it’s time to change the flavor of my owls too.” ”

“Okay then.” Philip took mice from the cage with a confused look, and for a while he was a little suspicious whether he was selling animals or feed.

After buying the mouse, Leonard went to Giggs on the way back to buy a new aconitum, and then returned to the Leaky Cauldron with the cage and Harry Potter.

After saying goodbye to Harry Potter at the door of the room, Leonard put the mouse aside and prepared to start his own experiment.
