Chapter 10: Lonely Londo

In the room, Leonard used a branch picked up from the side of the road as a magic wand, following the trajectory of the book, imitating it to the letter.

Next to it, the biting kale sways from side to side with Leonard’s movements, like a puppy looking at a bone.

“Fluorescent flashing.” Leonard shouted, and the branch in his hand waved with it.

The branch didn’t respond, which didn’t make Leonard feel lost, but rather commonplace.

Casting spells without a staff is an advanced skill, how could he, a rookie who can’t even magic, cast it so easily?

Wizards are not unable to use magic without wands, and it is mentioned in the history of magic that wizards in Africa almost do not use wands because of the lack of corresponding wood.

But that requires considerable proficiency, and wizards in Africa grow much slower than wizards in other regions.

If Leonard had practiced, he might have learned this technique too.

Because there was no feedback, this behavior looked silly, but Leonard persisted and made sure that his actions were exactly the same as in the book.

Only in this way can he be sure that his studies are not misguided.

During Leonard’s practice, Lendo made excuses to come several times, but after seeing Leonard practicing the spell tirelessly, he didn’t say anything, but returned his textbooks one after another.

It seems that his own grandfather has given up useless attempts.

Leonard wiped his sweat and rubbed his faintly aching wrist, intending to do something else to take a break.

At this moment, there was a bang on his door.

“Is it again?” Leonard muttered, waved his hand at the biting kale next to him, and watched it drill back into the flower pot before shouting, “Here it is.” ”

Opening the door, sure enough, it was his grandfather Londo standing outside, and he was carrying a birdcage with a gray owl inside.

Now even the owl has returned.

Leonard looked clear and took the birdcage from Londo’s hand.

Londo looked at Leonard, who was sweating, was silent for a while and said, “I’m going back.” ”

Saying that, he stuffed the remaining fifty gallons of the purchased items into Leonard’s hands.

“Huh?” Leonard was stunned and almost didn’t react.

Only then did he notice Londo’s suitcase at his feet.

“I said, I’m going back.” Londo repeated, “The farm in the family has to be taken care of, and the room here is too expensive.” ”

Leonard opened his mouth to say that we could live in a room, but he was stunned as soon as he opened his mouth.

After he got his wand, he would definitely go back to the alley at night, and if he shared a room with Londo, he would definitely be found.

And Lundor is probably completely dead at this time, right? It was clear that the magic was so close to him, but he could only see it and not master it.

“You have to be careful by yourself, don’t run around, you know? When school starts, you can join other Hogwarts students living here. Lendo said with concern expressionlessly, then picked up his suitcase and turned to leave.

“Remember to send a letter home, don’t come back for Christmas, it’s too far away, I’ll pick you up at King’s Cross station when the summer vacation is over.”

Londo left Leonard with a lonely back and drifted away.

Leonard watched the old man leave and sighed.

It’s not because of family affection, to be honest, Londo is not a good grandfather, he just sighs for an old man whose hopes have been dashed.

Bring him some novel plants in the future, I hope to relieve the depression in his heart, he is so old.

Leonard shook his head and glanced at the birdcage in his hand.

The gray owl inside and Leonard stared wide-eyed.

“I don’t think I have a name for you yet.” Leonard tilted his head to look at the owl in the cage, and the owl also tilted his head to look at Leonard.

“It’s so troublesome to choose a name, since you are gray, let’s call you Gray.” Leonard casually named the poor owl, then turned around and began to write a letter.

He remembered that Hogwarts’ admission letter said he wanted to reply, and he had forgotten it until he saw Gray.

It is estimated that Londo did not think about it.

Leonard soon wrote a letter in which he appeared to have received an admission notice and would attend on schedule.

“Send it to Hogwarts, understand? Hogwarts. Leonard wrapped the letter and handed it to Gray, watching it fly out the window with the letter in his hand.

“No hesitation at all? The owl is really reliable. Leonard lamented.

I don’t know how these owls are located to their destinations.

“Forget it, it’s not important, let’s change your mood and rest, right? Just try the white essence from the potions textbook. Leonard said as he cleared up the table, made room and placed a densely growing white plant on the table.

This was bought by Leonard at the Giggs Pharmacy later when he went out, to see how much the enhanced plant affected the finished potion.
