Chapter 3 Heading to Diagon Alley

Because grandfather Londo was a squib, no professor would come to Leonard’s house to mobilize.

After all, the professors needed to travel all over the country to educate Muggle families about the wizarding world, and even find a way to convince Muggles who didn’t believe in magic that Hogwarts’ admission to Hogwarts wasn’t a bad joke.

After all, eleven is when the child is in middle school, and without accurate information, Muggle families will not put their child’s future in a magical school that does not know whether it is true or not.

The Leonards were less troublesome, and although Londo was a squib, he knew that the wizarding world would not be affected by the Muggle banishment curse, and he could go to Diagon Alley on his own to buy what he needed.

Early the next morning, Leonard was woken up by a knock on the door by his grandfather Rondo.

“Hurry up you lazy bug, are you going to get up when the sun is drying your ass?”

Leonard slowly got up and glanced at the old pocket watch at the end of the bed, the thick hand had just pointed to six.

“It’s just six o’clock.” Leonard complained loudly.

“We’re going to London, it’s going to be hours!” Londo shouted, “Pack your bags, hurry.” ”

Leonard rubbed his face and got out of bed and opened the door.

Londo stood in the doorway anxious as if he had been burned by fire, obviously it was Leonard who went to school, but he was anxious as if he was going to school.

“Hurry boy, we’re going to town for a train, and when we get to London we’ll go to the Leaky Cauldron, I don’t want to spend a second more in the middle of that group of Muggles.”

Londo said loudly, refreshed, he seemed to have not slept all night, full of alcohol but not tired from all night.

As soon as Leonard finished washing, he was stuffed with a sandwich by Londo, and then pulled Leonard out in a panic.

The Cotswolds is a very famous tourist attraction, so transportation here is quite convenient.

But it was too far from London, and by the time the two arrived at Charing Cross, where the Leaky Cauldron Bar was located, it was already past two o’clock in the afternoon.

Londo said that he would not eat out at all, and pulled the hungry Leonard into the Leaky Cauldron bar non-stop.

The Leaky Cauldron Bar, as its name suggests, is shabby and old, and the owner of the bar is also an old-looking old man.

It’s much bigger than Leonard expected, but the atmosphere here makes Leonard a little difficult to get used to

However, Londo seemed to have walked into a temple, his eyes full of longing.

Anyway, Leonard didn’t see at all how noble the wizard who ate bean soup stew in this shabby bar was more noble than the Muggles outside.

After arriving here, Londo’s mobility became very strong, and after talking to Tom, the owner of the bar, he temporarily left his luggage here, and then begged the other party to help open the wall leading to Diagon Alley.

Londo took Leonard directly to Gringotts of the wizarding bank, and immediately came to the Ollivander wand shop located on the same street after changing a hundred galleons.

In fact, Leonard would prefer to go to the store selling fresh magical plants first, but he couldn’t help Londo, he wanted to see the wand first.

“Ding-dong…”

The bell at the door shook and made a crisp sound, and Rondo and Leonard walked into the store, watching the neatly packed wands pile up the shelves, and Londo’s eyes reddened.

“Welcome.” A gray-haired old man poked his head out from behind the shelf and looked at the two.

“Hello sir, let’s pick out the wand.” Londo saw the old man and said in a flattering tone.

“Oh no, no, it’s not you who pick the wand, the wand picks its master.” The gray-haired old man said solemnly.

Londo’s expression suddenly became uneasy, and he said worriedly, “Hug… Sorry, it’s me who is too superficial. ”

His reaction was too violent, but it startled the gray-haired old man.

“It’s not that serious, it’s just my own opinion.” The gray-haired old man explained helplessly, “I am the owner of this store, Garrick Ollivander. ”

He glanced at Leonard, “Hogwarts?” ”

“Yes.” Leonard nodded.

“What’s your name?”

Ollivander asked, pulling out a thick, old, notepad.

“Leonard, Leonard William.” Leonard said.

Ollivander looked through the notepad with reading glasses, “Oh, I’ll see, um… There was no surname William in the previous generation, are you from a Muggle family? ”

Leonard looked at Londo, and was about to say no, but Londo spoke first.

“That’s right,” Londo said, “this kid’s parents are Muggles, I’m his grandfather, I… I’m also a Muggle. ”

In the wizarding world, squibs are inferior to Muggles, who are just novices, and squibs are an existence that shames wizards.

“Hahaha, it’s okay, don’t be nervous, as long as you have talent, you are part of the wizard, your origin is not important.”

Ollivander smiled and wrote Leonard’s name on the notepad, “Let’s measure the necessary data, and then we can find the right wand for you.” ”
