Hogwarts Card Drawer

Chapter 97: Tom Riddle

"Can you be sure? There is another basilisk here?" Chronos's complexion is very bad, the basilisk monster is too powerful, if it weren't for Chronos had a contract card last time. He is really not sure that he can fight it.

"Master... Hiss... I'm not sure... Hiss... Is it... Hiss... I was born in... Hiss... The castle... Hiss..." His heart relaxed a lot, as long as it wasn't necessarily a basilisk, Chronos was still confident of his own safety.

"I see, Snake. Let's bypass him a little bit." Cronos said.

"I'm afraid...hiss...no...hiss...Master..." Snake's basilisk shook his head humanely.

"Huh? What do you mean." Chronos looked at the basilisk in his palm.

"When I...hiss...feel him...hiss...hiss...he also...hiss...feel me...and..." The basilisk said one or two words every time he opened his mouth. This made Cronos anxious.

   "And what?" Cronos asked.

"And...hiss...I can...hiss...feel it...it...hiss...get closer to us...hizz...get closer...and...hiss...it is...hiss Hiss... there is a... hiss... familiar smell!"

"Familiar smell?" The last sentence of the basilisk directly confuses Chronos. The basilisk Snake has stayed in the Hogwarts castle since he was born, except for going to the Forbidden Forest to search for food. Haven't contacted anyone else. This is the first time Chronos has brought Snake to such a far place.

If it has ever met anyone, then only the person who opened the secret room twice. The last time it was Guidro Lockhart, and the time it was 50 years ago it was Tom Riddle. Cronos looked up again at the surrounding bushes, and Cronos's heart was mentioned in his throat.

"Mr. Newt, Mr. Newt!!!" Cronos shouted, and ran towards him quickly.

"Oh~ what's wrong? My child." Mr. Newt stopped the slightly crazy Cronos.

"Say something slowly, don't worry. Okay?" He said to Cronos in a gentle tone.

"Quick...Quick..." Cronos pointed at the foot of the mountain, but he couldn't speak because of panting.

Mr. Newt looked at Cronos anxiously, he reached out from his bag and took out a small bottle of light blue liquid and handed it to Cronos.

Cronos took off the stopper and drank it. The taste was slightly sweet. After a while, Cronos felt his breath eased.

"How is it? Is it better?" Mr. Newt looked at Cronos and said, "This is a stamina restorative liquid made from the rhizome of Asparagus, it's very sweet."

Cronos can no longer praise his potion, he said anxiously: "Quickly, Mr. Newt. We will use Apparition to get out of here."

Cronos didn't think it was a good thing that he met Voldemort here. Although he could fight, he couldn't kill him. Meeting him is pure harm but no benefit.

"Why?" Mr. Newt looked at Cronos in confusion, "We are about to reach the top, Cronos."

"Mr. Newt, really. We must leave here soon, because..." Cronos stopped halfway through his words, and Mr. Newt was looking at him strangely.

"Run, Mr. Newt!" Cronos said, pointing to the back of Mr. Newt.

But it was too late, Mr. Newt looked back. He saw a dark object slamming at him, and Mr. Newt's feet were soft before his eyes, and he rolled straight down the mountain.

"Mr. Newt." Cronos yelled, but he didn't chase him down immediately. As long as the wizard does not die on the spot, no matter how much injury he suffers, he will be healed. The most important thing now is Voldemort in front of Chronos.

The sky is already dark, borrowing some faint moonlight. Cronos vaguely saw that it was a python, with a flat big head, bright yellow eyes, and a big mouth that appeared darker in the night.

Cronos feels embarrassed now, running is definitely not enough to run Voldemort who is possessed by the giant python. He will not apparate either. Killing and not killing, even if he can easily crush the body of this python now, it is just for Voldemort to find a new puppet.

When Chronos was in a dilemma, the giant python had already straightened up his body, just like a cobra. His tawny eyes were looking at Chronos.

"Cronos?" It said, with a very hoarse voice. Chronos was not surprised, because Voldemort once bewitched Professor Quirrell here.

"Do you know me?" Since he spoke first, it proves that he has the meaning to talk.

"Of course!" The giant python nodded humanely~www.readwn.com~Cronos is not surprised at this. After all, I can be said to be a big show in the Daily Prophet in the past two years. Basically the wizarding world in Europe I almost knew him.

"Don't think so, I didn't know you through the little thing you invented." The giant python seemed to see his mind, and was so scared that Chronos immediately activated Occlumency. He didn't know Voldemort at this time. Can you still use the mind-trapping technique, but it's better to be careful.

"Don't worry, I won't probe your thoughts, you...should recognize me!" The python twisted his body up.

"Tom Riddle, who would have thought that the famous Voldemort would be like this now." Cronos said.

"Heh...heh...heh..." There was a self-deprecating laughter from the giant python's mouth, and Cronos thought that sound might be laughter!

"It's incredible!" A trace of self-deprecating flashed in the eyes of the python, "but it doesn't matter anymore. I originally thought who brought the basilisk out of Hogwarts. It was you, Korono. Si! That's not surprising, have you been assigned to Slytherin."

Cronos nodded, "Listen to you, you seem to know me."

Cronos really couldn't think of any anxiety he and Voldemort would have.

"Of course!" The python nodded, "Not only I know you, but Dumbledore also knows you. Didn't Dumbledore tell you about your life?"

"Of course, with Dumbledore's polite people, he will definitely not tell you." Voldemort began to ask and answer himself.

"Personal? Professor Dumbledore is the greatest wizard in the world today, even you are afraid of him, don't you?" Cronos retorted.
