Hogwarts Card Drawer

Chapter 67: calm

"This is it." Cronos looked up at the room turned left under the stairs on the third floor. This is Filch's office. He came to Filch today to talk about the cost of teaching materials.

Most of the classmates have never been to Filch's office, they are afraid to avoid it! Cronos is no exception, the last time he went to was only the bedroom where Filch was resting.

There is only an oil lamp hanging from the ceiling in the room, no windows, and there is a smell of fried fish. Several large wooden cabinets leaned against the wall. They were used to hold the files of the students who violated discipline. They clearly stated in detail who did what and what was punished for. The archives of Fred and George occupies a whole drawer. A pair of shiny chains and handcuffs hung behind the wall of Fesch's table. Everyone at the school knows that he often begged the principal of Dumbledore to allow him to hang the students upside down on the ceiling. It is more appropriate to say that it is not so much an office as it is a cell for interrogating prisoners.

Cronos subconsciously glanced through the wooden file cabinets to see if he could find a map of the spot.

"Dragon dung," Filch sounded angrily outside the door, "That fire-breathing monster...frog brain...rat pee...I'm so fed up...where is the form...here... …"

The door of the room was opened with a "bang", and Cronos was sure it was kicked open with his foot.

Cronos looked at Filch who was rushing at the door and Harry Potter who was soaked in mud.

"It's just a bit of mud," Harry said, his head hanging down, very depressed.

"For you, it's another hour of cleaning work for me!" Feichi shouted. A drop of nasal water shook his globular nostril and fell off.

Filch turned around and was about to grab a quill pen from the desk, but he saw Cronos sitting behind the desk with a smile on his face.

"Slag...Professor Slughorn, why are you here?" Filch's tone directly became respectful, as if he were two people with the old man who was so angry that he was about to choose someone.

He changed his face so fast that Harry dropped his chin in shock.

"Didn't you ask me to come here in the afternoon?" Cronos shook the paper in his hand, and Harry saw that it was filled with small, crooked words.

"Oh, yes. That's it." Filch suddenly seemed a little excited, and he took out a crumpled statistical table and a bag full of Jin Jialong from his arms.

"This is the amount of money I got from selling your books this month. The names and quantities of all purchasers are recorded on it." Filch also kindly helped Cronos to light a lamp, but it cost nothing. Kronos frowned as he looked at Erqi's fine print.

I don’t know, Filch actually sold more than 200 copies of the May 3 books. Almost all of them are Slytherin students, followed by Gryffindor. Only a small part of the students are Ravenclaw. And Hufflepuff's. This is not what surprised Cronos. What surprised him most was that he had sold more than two hundred books, and in the end only 20 or 30 people passed the test to attend the class. Especially the Slytherin students, only Daphne passed the test in the end.

Cronos thought that the Slytherin Guild would not be good, but he didn't expect them to be so unbearable. No wonder Professor Snape's eyes were very unfriendly when he looked at him recently.

Cronos looked at the bag with Jin Jialong on the table again. Filch didn't know where he made a non-marking stretched bag, otherwise the two thousand Jin Jialong would really not fit. Cronos snapped his fingers, and the strap split into two, one larger and the other smaller.

"According to the agreement, Mr. Filch. You should get 20% of the sales profit. This bag of Jin Jialong is you." Cronos pushed the smaller bag down in front of Filch.

"Thank you, thank you, Professor Slughorn." Filch nodded like garlic, his waist lowered. Although only 20% of the total profit, there are also a full 400 Jin Jialong. That was his salary for two months at Hogwarts! Filch poured all Jin Jialong on the table, and the golden coins shone dazzlingly under the light.

After dealing with all this, Cronos looked at Harry who was still standing at the door. The dripping muddy water on his trouser legs almost covered the entire office.

"Hi, Harry. It's been a long time since I heard that you came to Hogwarts in a flying car. How about? Which one is better than a car?" Cronos felt that he must have been mixed with Snape. Too much, the yin and yang are weird as soon as he speaks.

At this time, Filch wiped the remaining nose and said, "Professor Slughorn, I'm in the corridor..."

"I know, Mr. Filch. I know." Cronos interrupted Filch's complaint~www.readwn.com~ How about giving him to me? Mr. Filch. "

"Of course, Professor Slughorn." Filch replied respectfully. He didn't dare to disobey Cronos' orders.

"Let's go! Harry." Cronos turned his head and said to Harry, "Could you still want to stay here and enjoy evening tea with Mr. Filch?"

Harry shuddered when he heard the word "late tea". He looked at Filch's paralyzed face, and looked at the ghastly room. Harry left with Chronos without hesitation.

In the quiet corridor, in addition to the footsteps of two people one after another, there was also the sound of ticking water droplets.

"Thank you, thank you. Professor Slughorn." Harry said to Cronos who was walking in front.

"Don't see it this way, just call me Cronos as before." Cronos grabbed Harry behind him, not caring that his muddy clothes touched his wizard robes.

   "Well, Chronos." Harry said gratefully.

"Listen to me, Harry. I want to ask if you have heard any strange noises lately?" Chronos whispered in Harry's ear.

"Strange sound?" Harry frowned, seeming to look for the strange sound mentioned by Cronos in his mind.

"It's a voice that no one can hear except you." Cronos looked at Harry and narrowed his search.

Harry thought for a while, and finally shook his head regretfully. Cronos looked at Harry. He didn't know whether he should be sad or happy about the news. It was still pouring rain outside the window, and it was already dark like ink, but the face of Chronos in the castle was illuminated by the candlelight in the corridor.
