Chapter 37: Department of Mysteries

Cronos is not a hesitating person, something decided in his heart. It will definitely take action.

The Mystery Department is on the ninth floor of the basement. To reach the Mystery Department, you must go through an elevator.

"The Department of Mystery? You are a kid, what are you going to do there?" The elevator staff looked at Cronos suspiciously.

"Dumbledore asked me to go. He is in the minister's office. If you don't believe me, you can ask them." Cronos pointed to the silver sign on his chest. I have to say that Dumbledore's reputation is good, and the staff just took a look and didn't say much.

The elevator descended slowly, about a minute or so. After exiting the fence of the elevator, a simple corridor leads to the plain black door. After opening this pure black door, enter the round black room.

Cronos was standing in a huge round room. Everything here, including the ceiling and floor, are all black; twelve identical, black doors with no markings and no handles are spaced apart some distance from each other and embedded in the surrounding black walls, some with blue flames. Candles were dotted on the wall, cold, faint flashing candlelight reflected on the bright marble floor, making the floor look like a puddle of black water.

In the original work, the author does not describe the Department of Mysteries much, so Cronos can't figure out which is the Hall of Prophecy.

The most important thing is that when the door leading to the round room is closed, the round wall will rotate quickly, making it difficult to figure out which door you entered.

Cronos opened a door casually with his heart. This square room looks very bright. The room was almost empty, with only one table. In the middle of the room, there was a huge glass water tank containing dark green liquid, which was big enough for Cronos to swim in it; many white things were slowly moving slowly. Floating around inside.

Koronos thought it was a jellyfish-like creature at first, when Koronos wanted to get closer to observe. The white thing suddenly jumped out of the liquid, and the tentacles floating behind it immediately entangled Cronos's hand.

"Ah!" Cronos yelled and sat on the ground, his feet quickly leaping away from the glass water tank. What kind of jellyfish is that white thing, and the zigzag patterns and shapes are clearly the human brain. The most frightening thing is that its antennae are clearly disconnected nerves.

Cronos somewhat believed Luna's father, and he even suspected that Fudge was conducting terrible experiments to manipulate the human brain.

Kronos looked around this weird room and found that except for the door behind Kronos came in. There is also a door connecting other rooms on the side.

Cronos swallowed and put his hand on the handle of the other door. This one was a little bigger than the one just now. It was dimly lit, square in shape, and sunken in the center, forming a huge stone pit, about twenty feet deep. The stone steps surround the whole room, like stone benches, gradually descending from one level to the next, and each level is steep, just like an amphitheater.

The center of the stone pit is a raised stone platform with an arch on it. It looks very old and in dilapidated condition. Cronos is a little surprised that it can still stand there without falling down. There is no wall support around the arch. A tattered black curtain or a drapery hung on it. Although the air here is cold and there is no wind, it swings gently, as if it has just been touched.

If Chronos remembers correctly, this should be the place where Sirius died. He was hit in the chest by Bellatrix and fell behind the curtain.

It is said in the original work that Harry and Luna can hear someone talking behind the curtain, but Cronos can hear nothing but his own breathing.

"The other side of this veil may be the land of death." Cronos guessed the answer in his heart. This veil may be like Ye Qi, only those who have truly witnessed death can perceive it.

There is also a door on the side of this house, and Cronos walked towards the side door without hesitation.

This time, Chronos had good luck and looked at the dazzling array of crystal balls. Cronos knew he was in the Hall of Prophecy.

The Hall of Prophecy is a huge, icy room, as high as a church, and it is lined with towering shelves. There are small glass **** puffing grey on it. A small yellow label is attached to the shelf under each glass ball. Some small **** emit mysterious flowing light, while others are vague and dark, like extinguished light bulbs. More candlesticks are embedded on the shelves at intervals. The flames are blue like the black hall~www.readwn.com~The shelf closest to the door of the Brain Hall is the 53rd row. On the right is row 54, followed by row 55, and so on. The light in the hall was very dim. The candles are located at the ends of each row of shelves, that is to say, from this end, the other end in the distance is pitch black. Some small glass **** faintly glowed from the inside while others were cold and dull.

"The prophecy involving Harry was placed at the end of the 97th row a little further in." Cronos trusted his memory very much.

He found the crystal ball, but he didn't actually confirm it. It's just that the crystal ball was originally bleak, but when Cronos approached it, it emitted a dazzling blue light.

Cronos can't learn divination, so he had to hold the crystal ball in his hand. The crystal ball felt like its owner, and its own blue light was even more rumored.

A prophecy sounded in Chronos’ ears: “The child of the devil and the elves, the creator of the circle. It will open the gates of hell, and the demons will treat him as king.”

Kronos hadn't understood the meaning of the prophecy, and the illusion that he had seen in the magic mirror of Eris appeared in his mind.

"Ah!" Cronos covered his head, and the thrown crystal ball rolled aside.

The three-year-old Cronos is holding a white-bearded wizard in his left hand and a beautiful witch in his right hand. Backed by the dense forest, in front is a pure lake.

This time Chronos saw it clearly. Chronos' eyes and platinum hair were exactly the same as those of a witch.

"Whhhhhhh..." Chronos panted heavily, and the illusion in his mind flashed by. But his forehead was already covered with slender guys, and he seemed to have just experienced a big battle at this moment.
