Hogwarts Card Drawer

Chapter 242: friend

"I think it's almost bedtime," Mrs. Weasley yawned.

"It's still early, Molly," Sirius said, pushing away the empty plate and turning his head to look at Harry. "You know, I was surprised by you. I think the first thing you do when you get here is to start asking questions about Voldemort."

The atmosphere of the room changed quickly with Harry's topic and mention of Dementors. If it was still drowsy and relaxed a few seconds ago, now it is alert and even a little nervous.

When Voldemort's name was mentioned, someone walked around the table out of tension and fear. Lupin was about to sip a glass of delicious wine, but now slowly lowered his goblet, looking very alert.

"I did it!" Harry said angrily. "I asked Ron and Hermione, but they said that the order did not allow them to do so, so-"

"No, no, no, I'm not just asking this." Sirius Black shook his head, "I mean, what do you think of...Cronos?"

"What?" Harry buttoned his ear.

"Kronos, Kronos Slughorn."

"What does this have to do with him?"

"I have to make sure that he will not go to Voldemort's side. Because, Snape, he..."

"Enough, Sirius Black," Mrs. Weasley said. "He is too young. I shouldn't let him know so much." She sat in the chair and faced the latch, her fists clenched her arms, and there was no trace of sleepiness.

"Since when does someone have to ask questions within the Phoenix Command?" Sirius asked, "Harry was trapped in that Muggle house for a month. He has the right to know what happened. what's up-"

"Can you tell me more about what Cronos and you experienced in the cemetery that night?" Sirius Black's tone was soft but with a tone that could not be disputed.

Harry closed his eyes, he really didn't want to think about Voldemort's face if he could.

"Voldemort he..." Harry swallowed and spit, "He is inviting...Cronos to join them."

"Oh, no!" Hermione covered her face in horror.

Sirius Black slapped him down on the chair, with an expression of "Look, I said it!" on his face.

"But Cronos didn't agree, and took me out of Voldemort's pursuit." Harry continued.

"You weren't told the details of the actions of the command, it is not my fault," Sirius said calmly, "It was your parents' decision. But on the other hand, Harry, Cronos, and... "

"It is not your turn to decide what is good for Harry!" Mrs. Weasley said sharply. A dangerous look appeared on her usually friendly face. "I guess you haven't forgotten what Dumbledore said?"

"Which section do you mean?" Sirius asked politely, but the air was full of tension with a man preparing to fight himself.

"The paragraph about not telling Harry more than he needs to know," Mrs. Weasley emphasized the last three words.

The heads of Ron, Hermione, Fred and George were turning between Sirius and Mrs. Weasley as if they were watching a tennis match. Ginny was kneeling on top of a pile of discarded honey cubes, her mouth opened slightly to watch the conversation. Lupin's eyes were fixed on Sirius.

"I didn't plan to tell Harry more than he needs to know, Molly," Sirius said. "However, he was the one who saw Voldemort's return with his own eyes." (Again, there was a collective tremor around the table because of the name) "He has more power than most of us to know—"

"And you also heard that Chronos is someone who can compete with Voldemort except Dumbledore."

"He is not a member of the Phoenix Order!" Mrs. Weasley said, "He is only fifteen years old, and—"

"And he has solved as many problems as most command members," Sirius said, "even more than some members."

"No one denies everything he ever did!" Mrs. Weasley's voice increased, her fists trembling on the arm of the chair. "But he is still just—"

"He is not a child!" Sirius said impatiently. "Voldemort is drawing him in, he is looking for his army. His reputation is enough to make him unique, and the most important thing is that he is a Slytherin. We can't deny that he might become the next Dark Lord. ."

"Black!" Professor Lupin stopped his best friend with an ugly expression.

"Although I don't think Chronos is a demon like a mysterious man." Professor Lu Ping took over, "but Chronos is only a fifteen-year-old child. What Voldemort is best at is to deceive people."

"Harry, before that time in the cemetery~www.readwn.com~Cronos may have seen a mysterious person." Professor Lupin looked into Harry's eyes and said.

"What?" Harry's eyes widened, filled with unbelievable questions.

"Don't doubt, Dumbledore told us this." Professor Lupin said in a low voice.

"What does Professor Dumbledore mean? Let's watch Chronos?" Harry asked the question in his mind.

"No, it's not." Professor Lupin denied, "Professor Dumbledore meant to let you be friends with Cronos."

"Friend?" Harry's voice changed.

"Yes, it's a friend." Professor Lu Ping repeated the words just now.

"Dumbledore said that Tom Riddle became a mysterious person that everyone feared later because he didn't get love during his childhood and when he was at Hogwarts."

"The environment of loneliness and lack of love created his cruel and murderous character." Professor Lupin said, "So Dumbledore hopes that you can give Cronos more of a sense of friendship and belonging. So much so. Chronos will not be fooled by mysterious people."

Harry looked at the others, but Mr. Weasley did not speak immediately. He took off his glasses and slowly wiped them with his robe. When he put the glasses carefully back to the bridge of his nose, he finally answered.

"Dumbledore knows that the situation has changed, Harry. He accepts that within a certain range, Cronos must be exposed to certain aspects of the Phoenix order, just as he went to your Muggle house before you came to the command post. Here you are."
