Hogwarts Card Drawer

Chapter 99: confused

"Oh, Cronos! Goodness, you don’t have the facts, it’s him." Mr. Newt, who had climbed the mountain again, rushed forward and began to check on Cronos, "If something happened to you In any case, Professor Slughorn will definitely kill me."

"OK, then, do you see what the magical species that attacked me just now?" Mr. Newt asked, looking into Cronos' eyes.

"Ang?" Cronos was still immersed in what Tom Riddle said to him just now. He didn't hear what Mr. Newt said just now, so he shook his head.

"Oh! Really? That's a shame!" Mr. Newt looked very disappointed. He said to himself on the side: "I suspect that the one who attacked me was a bird and snake. It was a big or small one. Magical creatures, the eggshells they were born in are still silver..."

What Mr. Newt said, Cronos did not hear a word clearly. He looked down at the grass under his feet, no one knew what he was thinking.

   "Cronos...Cronos..."

"Um?"

Mr. Newt called Cronos several times before he could react.

"Okay! It seems that you are really no longer fit to go up tonight. Come on! Hold my arm and let's go down." As he said, Mr. Newt took out his wand and stretched out his left arm.

With a feeling of being twisted and squeezed, Cronos and Mr. Newt have arrived in the village below the mountain, and the door was opened by the old man yesterday.

Kronos simply ate dinner, then went back to the room and lay on his bed, flashing scenes from the time he traveled into this world in his mind.

At first, when he knew that he was in the world of Harry Potter, Chronos was very happy. He just wanted to study magic hard, and then be famous in the wizarding world.

In the second year of school at Hogwarts, when Cronos realized that the mysterious man had not disappeared, he would make a comeback sooner or later. What he thought was to try to prevent Voldemort's resurrection, even if it could not be prevented, he would try his best to delay his resurrection. He wanted to buy time for his own growth. At that time, he just wanted to protect the people around him.

Until today, combined with his cognition in the past few years in this world, Cronos feels that his identity is not as simple as an ordinary orphan. At least not as simple as it seems. Why did Voldemort know me? And why did Voldemort say that Dumbledore treated me as a threat.

Kronos has never been so confused as he is today. He especially wants to understand his life experience. He also particularly wanted to know what he wanted to do most now, if possible he wanted to look at himself in the magic mirror of Eris again.

Cronos and Mr. Newt are flying to London this afternoon. This time Cronos did not fall asleep on the plane like last time.

Out of the airport, Cronos refused Mr. Newt’s request to send him off. After Mr. Newt moved away with the Apparition, Cronos also got on the airport taxi.

Cronos, who was sitting in the car, planned to go back and ask his godfather Horace, he thought Horace must know something. If Dumbledore had deliberately concealed him, it would be impossible for him to ask anything from Dumbledore. Only ask a question from his godfather Horace.

When he arrived at the apartment, Cronos threw the suitcase outside. He ran up quickly. Pushing the door open, he saw his godfather Horace Slughorn sitting at the table tasting red wine. The blushes on both sides of his cheeks clearly told Cronos that he had drunk a lot.

"Oh~ it's Cronos! I thought you would come back the next morning!" Horace didn't know how much wine he had drunk, and when Cronos spoke, he felt the scent of alcohol rushing over his face.

Cronos disgustedly slapped his nose in front of his nose twice and asked, "How much wine did you drink?"

"It's not much, everybody~ probably that's it!" Horace said, he also hit a drinker.

"Just those? The ghost knows how much those are." Cronos asked irritably.

"That's not right! Why do you care about me today. Are you short of money again?" Horace asked and took another sip of the red wine in the glass.

Kronos gave Horace a blank look, and you are such a person in your heart with me.

"Horace, I have something to ask you." Cronos solemnly looked at Horace's eyes and said.

"Huh?" Horace obviously hadn't figured out the situation, and he changed his tone when speaking.

"My...parents, what kind of people are they?" Cronos asked.

"Hiss!" After hearing the question, Horace took a breath, and his mind that had been confused because of alcohol also became sober in an instant.

"Parents? Merlin's beard! Cronos, you are an orphan." Horace said in surprise.

"I know, but don't the orphans also come out of the mother's belly?" Cronos retorted.

"I'm sorry, Cronos." Horace put down the red wine glass in his hand, "I don't know your parents."

"Then why did you go to the orphanage to find me? Don't tell me that you just found it out of your conscience? Want to do good~www.readwn.com~ Cronos shouted.

"That's Dumbledore..." Horace suddenly covered his mouth with his hand, as if he realized that he had said something wrong. With his head drooping, he was paralyzed in his chair.

"It's Dumbledore again..." Chronos had begun to believe in Voldemort, and he felt that Dumbledore must have something to hide from himself. He felt that he should personally find the truth of the matter.

Cronos looked up again and saw Horace, who was paralyzed in a chair, the little old man who was over half a hundred years old looked very pitiful at the moment. Cronos couldn't help but stepped forward and hugged him.

"I'm sorry, Godfather. I didn't mean it just now." Cronos apologized, "No matter what happens, I am your godson. I am your Cronos."

"Good boy, good boy, you are a good boy." Horace said softly in Cronos' ear.

  ...

After that night, Chronos returned to his usual appearance as if nothing had happened. Every day upstairs doing homework left for them by Hogwarts. Occasionally, he would go to a wizard's banquet with his godfather Horace.

As the days passed, Cronos finally received the letter from Hogwarts:
