The maids worked hard to make Ella even more charming. Her hair was pinned up and covered with a bonnet. Joanne then secured the bonnet onto Ella’s head by tying a large ribbon below her chin. She then brought a mirror over for Ella to see. All she could see was a beautiful noble lady that looked like a part of a renaissance painting. She looked like a flower. She wasn’t sure if she should like the fact that she actually looked good in this dress. The maids around her had praised her for her charm. Although she realized how good she looked in this era, she still couldn’t dress like this every day.

“Maylin, can you call Countess Setin?”

“We’ve already paid her a lot when we purchased this dress. There’s no need to give her your compliments.”

Compliments… Ella was surprised. Soon she smiled and said, “No, I need a new dress. Let her come as soon as she can.”

“Don’t you like this dress?” asked Maylin with a shocked expression. Ella was never interested in gems or dresses, so Maylin found it hard to believe that Ella was looking to buy another dress. Currently, the dresses Ella had were forced upon her by the duchess.

“No, I like it. I find it hard to believe that it looks so nice on me.”

“Then why…”

“I just want to relieve some stress by buying a new dress like everyone else. I also don’t like looking like everyone else.”

Maylin seemed like she had something to say, but instead, she simply nodded. The duke and duchesses were going to be delighted to hear that Ella wanted a new dress to relieve her stress. She felt as if she could already hear the duchess’s joyful laugh. Since yesterday, she has been filled with concerns. Joanne worked busily to finish dressing Ella up. Ella was now wearing a pair of laced gloves and held a small fan in one hand. Then Joanne held a small umbrella and stood next to Ella. Ella shook her head as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

‘An umbrella too? I need to buy a new dress as soon as possible.’ Although Ella had accepted that she was beautiful even with her outfit, she still found it embarrassing. As such, she couldn’t stop blushing when Evan and Cullan watched her coming down the stairway and looked surprised. Evan had a serious expression on his face while Cullan was mesmerized by Ella’s appearance.

“I’m sorry I’m late Cullan.”

“I can wait as long as needed if it’s to meet a beautiful woman like yourself. You’re much more beautiful compared to the flowers at the Glass garden.”

Ella used the fan to cover her face in response to Cullan’s compliment. At that moment, she realized people were going to see her shameful appearance. Even though most people would be mesmerized like Cullan, she still felt embarrassed. ‘I don’t want to be out in public like this. Ugh!’

“Ella, are you feeling alright?” asked Evan worryingly.

Evan had misinterpreted Ella’s disgust. He thought his sister didn’t want to go out because of yesterday’s fiasco. What happened yesterday, however, didn’t worry Ella anymore. She was more shocked by what Maylin had said to her.

“Of course, I’m fine. This fine prince is escorting me, so there’s nothing to worry about. He’ll bring me over to the Glass garden that you told me about a while ago. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Hearing Ella’s words, calmed Evan. Suddenly he realized what Ella’s intentions were and froze. ‘She wanted this all along.’ He tried to maintain a smile while thinking about that place. Evan realized what was at the Glass garden and gave Ella a shocked expression. He wanted to ask why she wanted to go there, but he couldn’t ask in front of Cullan.

“I’ll thank you when I come back, brother. I wouldn’t have known this if it weren’t for you. So, you should wait for me, okay?”

“Of course. I’ll wait for your return. Be safe.”

“Thank you, brother.”

Evan wasn’t able to ask Ella anything, so he quickly returned to his office. He had one more thing to look into now.
