There was only one reason why the magicians at the Tower of the Long Moonlight were so kind when they were known to be stuck-up and easily annoyed. Smila was Ella’s maid.

Smila knew this as well and had a look of pride on her face. It looked so cute that Ella smiled at her, and Smila blushed.

“Oh, did you see Xyle there?” He usually likes hanging around in the first-floor lobby rather than being stuck inside his room, so Ella asked just in case, but the answer that came was unexpected.

“They said that the Tower Master was out for the past few days.”

“Xyle’s out?”

“Yes, milady.”

“If that’s the case, I’ll make it so that you can believe.” Ella remembered what Xyle said. That day, he looked like he would do anything for it.

‘How is he going to try to prove that he’s being genuine?’

Ella couldn’t think of how. In order to find out, she had to wait for Xyle to return. He knew secrets of this world that she didn’t know, so he must know a way for sure. She was so curious as to how he was going to prove it. Ella began to think of various ideas before they disappeared. Every one of her thoughts was weird and unreasonable. While she was having such useless thoughts, the carriage moved on and eventually stopped in front of the Doughnafin Merchant Company.

She was going to look into some documents to use her time to the fullest but wasted it with useless daydreams. She had no time. Ella let out a long sigh, clenched her two fists in order to straighten herself, and brought them up to her chest. ‘Let’s focus! Focus!’

“What are you doing?” Vylun asked as he opened the carriage’s door to inform Ella of their arrival and help her get out, only to find her with a determined look on her face with two clenched fists.

Blushing, Ella answered, “Oh, er, hey-ho. Let’s do this?”

She hid her two fists with awkward movements and laughed, ‘Luciella, it’s your turn!’ Ella called for help, but Luciella had been oddly silent since yesterday. As a result, it was up to her to take care of the mess.

Luckily, Vylun realized Ella’s frustration and gently smiled. He even felt good that he was given a chance to take a peek into the Ella that no one else knew. “Then I will add my own will to that. You should come out now. We’re here.”

Ella’s frustration subsided a bit that Vylun casually took in her reaction. She didn’t know that he had such skill to react accordingly and looked at him with a bit of surprise.

Vylun felt her gaze and smiled again. That refreshing hospitality made Ella quickly find her calmness. After finding her usual self, Ella was escorted by Vylun to get off the carriage.

The Doughnafin Merchant Co.

As she got off, there was a huge storage room welcoming her. There was no one around, and the exterior looked just like storage, so if the banner wasn’t on, it was hard to tell if it was even a merchant company.

“It is bigger than I thought,” commented Vylun.

Ella laughed awkwardly at Vylun, who seemed truly astonished. She glanced, and Smila had her head turned around and was trying to suppress her chuckling shoulder. Then, Ella let out a sigh to give up, walked up to the entrance, and told Vylun, “Let’s get inside.”

“Sure,” replied Vylun. He opened the gate for her, looked inside, became shocked, and turned to Ella. “Did you just make the merchant company?”

“No. It’s been operating for the past three months.”

“Ella, I think there may have been a thief,” said Vylun.
