As Ella and Vylun entered the dance floor, people’s attention was on her yet again. The music started, and Vylun led Ella, to which she spun, making her skirt show off its charming colors as it billowed.

The light green petticoat was enough to engrave Ella’s fresh and innocent charm into people’s heads. Jewels that were put on with effort had revealed themselves by glowing under the bright light, coloring Ella brightly. The boring girl who only knew of her studies from the last party faded.

‘Good.’ Satisfied, Ella smiled as she felt everyone’s attention was changing. But she knew that the reason they changed how they looked at her wasn’t only because of this dress. The cause for that change was Vylun. The woman who had defeated Vylun’s powerful defensive wall was stronger than any petticoat.

As Vylun entered the dance floor and began dancing, he only watched Ella. It was as if his entire world revolved around her and only saw her. It was an action that nobody would doubt that he had fallen in love with, so everyone focused on Ella.

“That Vylun was finally conquered.”

He fell in love with the infamous future crown princess. It was interesting enough as the Crown Prince’s scandal had hit the capital lately, so obviously, everyone’s attention was on the two of them. Those sights can easily be felt through her entire body.

“The entire capital will know that you have fallen in love with me tomorrow. Is that okay?” asked Ella.

“It’s true, so I don’t mind.”

Ella became startled at Vylun for simply acknowledging that fact. ‘A man who said he’ll live and die by the sword is now okay with this kind of rumor?’

She couldn’t understand what made him fall in love with her so badly like this. Although Ella had the powerful weapon called a buff, she didn’t want to believe that it was a godly weapon to that degree.

“Did I do something to you in the garden?” asked Ella.

“It wasn’t in the garden.”

“Pardon?” questioned Ella.

“The garden wasn’t where I fell in love,” answered Vylun. His manly features changed with a cool smile. His dark blue eyes suddenly showed a clear aquamarine color hidden within. Those eyes were walking into the past. Then, he continued, “Eric always talked about you back when we were at the Academy.”

“He did?”

She couldn’t believe Eric did that. Evan did his best to fool around with Ella while Ethan tried hard to protect her from Evan. And Eric always watched them while sighing and focused on his sword skills. It was only when Ethan couldn’t take Evan on anymore that Eric suddenly appeared to save Ethan and Ella. But other than that, he was always watching them from behind. It was hard to believe that he always talked about his sister.

“Yes, he endlessly spoke about his strong-willed, trouble-making sister.”

It wasn’t a good story, of course. Ella was about 11 years old when Eric entered the Academy. She was only quiet when she met Cladis at the palace and usually ran around the entire day at that time. It was easy to guess what stories he might have shared. Ella shook her head and laughed, reminded of Luciella’s younger days. She was one special trouble-making girl in the Constance family.

“You must have heard a lot of stories then.”

Ella looked away a bit and spoke with a hint of complaint in her voice, and Vylun chuckled. Then he turned to look into Ella’s eyes, and her field of vision was on him. It was an unexpected move, but he didn’t mix his footsteps up. She naturally held her head up and saw him. His experienced moves, straightforward gaze, and well-built body that was as strong as his gaze. Ella could feel that this man was an adult with experience. But he was only 21.

“Yes, I heard a lot of great stories, so I didn’t believe him. What noble family raises their girl like that? I thought that even though this man doesn’t lie with his swords, he makes a lot of things up when they’re not about swords.”

“Oh, no. My brother had gotten a bad reputation because of me then. I’m sure most of his stories were actually true.”

Ella made a cool face as she took over the conversation and appealed to him that the stories were actually true. She hid the thought that maybe he might find it disgusting to know such rumors were true, but she couldn’t hide every inch of her feelings, and his eyes shined teasingly.

“I learned how truthful a knight he was after I joined the family. All of his stories were true, as you just said.”

‘What, you knew?’ thought Ella. She glared at him for speaking as if he didn’t know, and Vylun seemed to find even that to be amusing as he looked down at her.

After Vylun joined the family, he was surprised that the knights of this family were skilled compared to the Royal Knights and were very loyal. He was even more astonished by how these knights treated the only lady of the family, Ella. All the older knights to the knights who worked for more than five years knew about her past and acted as if it was their pride to know the past.
