Harry Potter’s Fantastic Animals Guide

Chapter 38: Gryffindor? No, I belong to everyone

Following Hagrid, they crossed a steep path and came to a black lake, where many small boats floated on the lake.

"Every four people take a boat, okay?" Hagrid said, and then he looked in David's direction again, "David, do you want to sit with me?"

It seemed that he still hadn't given up on Newt's dragon. David shook his head and got on a boat with Hermione.

There was a little girl sitting on the boat, looking like a wizard born from a Muggle family. She was sitting on the boat, clutching the corner of her school uniform nervously.

After Hermione and the others got in, there was still a vacancy on the boat.

"David!" A surprised voice came from the shore.

David looked back. Neville was trotting closer to them. David saw that his clothes had not been sorted out yet, and the collar on one side was tucked inside his clothes.

"I didn't find my compartment until the last time." After getting on the boat and sitting down, Neville said breathlessly: "When I changed my clothes and got off the car, everyone started to walk down. I ran all the way. Caught up with you guys."

  Navi looked very happy.

After David helped him straighten his collar, he chatted with Hermione for a while, and all the little wizards on the shore got on the boat.

"Have you all been seated?" Hagrid shouted loudly while sitting in a boat. Several people around responded, "Okay, let's set off."

As soon as Hagrid's voice fell, the boat moved by itself, and slowly rowed towards the castle.

"Hello, my name is Hermione Granger." Seeing that the little witch sitting next to her became more nervous, Hermione asked her to relax.

"My name is Kelly Lopez." After Kelly said, she pressed her lips tightly and stopped talking.

Hermione asked a few more questions later, but Kelly didn't speak any more, so Hermione turned to the other side and said. "David, what are you looking at?"

While she was talking to Kelly, David had been lying on the side of the boat and looking down.

"Oh, my grandpa said there are fish and Grindillo below. I want to see if I can see them." David continued to look down.

Suddenly he felt someone beating him behind him. David got up suspiciously and turned his head to see that Hermione had been winking at him.

Next to Kelly, after David said that there were fish in the lake, she seemed even more nervous, her fingertips and knuckles were pinched white.

"Oh, I'm very sorry, I have just looked carefully, there is nothing in the lake, it seems that they dare not approach the location of the castle." David comforted.

But Kelly still didn't get any better. Fortunately, the boat quickly landed. They followed Hagrid through a tunnel, climbed a flight of steps, and came to a gate.

Hagrid knocked three times, the door slowly opened, and a witch in emerald green robe appeared in front of the little wizards. She was Professor McGonagall.

After Professor McGonagall thanked Hagrid, she brought everyone to a small room, and she began to introduce the rest of the matter to everyone.

"Do you know how it was sorted? Do the test?" Hermione asked in a low voice, she was also a little nervous now.

As soon as David was about to speak, he heard Professor McGonagall’s stern voice: "Will you still listen to me now?"

David quickly stood up obediently, and Hermione was afraid to speak.

After Professor McGonagall finished speaking, he took them into the hall. The senior students were on both sides of the hall, and the professors sat on the high platform.

What attracts the most attention is the constantly twinkling stars in the sky.

At this time, Hermione showed her self-cultivation as a scholar. She began to keep introducing the origin of these things to David, and also added the source, as if she was writing an academic paper.

Professor McGonagall put a top-notch wizard hat on the bench in front of them. It looked dirty. David felt that if he patted it, the whole room would be filled with dust.

The most terrible thing is that it actually started to sing, maybe it can be said to be reading, because David did not hear any rhythm in its voice.

The lyrics could not help but come to David’s mind: "Pale yellow dress, fluffy hair..."

After the Sorting Hat sang, Professor McGonagall began to ask people to put on the Sorting Hat.

  ...

"David Scamander." Professor McGonagall yelled, and Professor McGonagall smiled at him when David went up.

David picked up the sorting cap a little disgustingly and put it on his head.

"Oh, another little wizard from the Scamander family." David heard a slightly low voice, a bit like the one he heard in the train in front of him, and he was deliberately pressing his throat to speak.

"I didn't mean to speak like this." The sorting hat's voice became lighter, even with a childish voice, "Look, see, as long as I speak in my original voice, everyone will think I am like a child, obviously. I am already a thousand years old."

"But I will forgive you. I like the children of the Scamander family. You are very kind." The Sorting Hat continued, "I hope you will not be expelled like Newt Scamander."

   Grandpa was expelled from school?

David thought with surprise that he had never heard Newt talk about it.

"What? Didn't he tell you?" The Sorting Hat said: "Then maybe he is embarrassed, it's a story of a hero..."

The sorting hat's tone became high, but before it said a few words, Professor McGonagall next to it coughed twice and interrupted it, letting it hurry up.

"Okay, okay, don't let me say a few more words, no one speaks with me at ordinary times, only a silly bird barking by the side." The sorting hat looked a little uninterested.

I can come and chat with you in the future!

David thought, mainly because he was interested in Newt's heroic story after all.

"Really?" The sorting hat became happy. "I knew that the children of Scamander's family are kind people! After you come, I can tell you Newt's heroic story. I can tell you the story of Dumbledore, they all grew up watching me."

"Well, it's time to sort you out now, where do you want to go?" said the Sorting Hat.

Can you choose this by yourself?

   David thought.

"It was not possible, but I can give you privileges, but they don't know." The Sorting Hat was a little proud.

Really... Then I want to go to Ravenclaw!

David thought, Xueba should go where Xueba should go!

"Okay, no problem!" David felt it almost opened its mouth and shouted out, but it seemed to have remembered something again, and it didn't say anything.

"I suddenly remembered that you can't go to Ravenclaw..." The sorting hat's tone was a bit awkward.

   Why?

David is a little bit confused, isn't my domineering spirit not strong enough?

"It's not for that reason. You are very suitable to go to Ravenclaw, but someone has allocated you a yard in advance and asked you to go to Granfendo." The Sorting Hat muttered softly.

   Professor Dumbledore?

"Hmm." The Sorting Hat replied super quietly, which Dumbledore wouldn't let it say.

It seems that he is going to tie me aboard!

   David sighed.

"What ship?" said the Sorting Hat.

It’s okay, it’s okay, can you do me a favor?

"Of course it can, just as compensation for you." The Sorting Hat said.

You... can read the names of the four academies, and finally said I was going to Gryffindor.

   David thought.

"Ha, of course it's okay." The Sorting Hat seemed to find this interesting too. He cleared his throat and coughed. The hall suddenly became quiet. The time in David's Sorting was too long.

"The college that David Scamander is going to is..." David heard the Sorting Hat shout: "Hufflepuff!"

There was enthusiastic applause over Hufflepuff's table, and they were celebrating that they had another Scamander.

Dumbledore on the high platform looked surprised. The wine in the glass spilled a lot. He didn't know what was wrong, and he even wanted to pull the sorting hat up now and ask what it was doing!

But he hasn't done anything yet~www.ltnovel.com~ The sorting hat's voice rang again: "Ravenclaw!"

The hall suddenly became quiet, and everyone looked at the sorting hat, not knowing what it was doing.

The students of Lakovenlaw raised their hands, wondering if the palm should be taken.

Professor McGonagall's hand to fetch the sorting cap was also hanging in the air.

"Slytherin." The Sorting Hat yelled even more emotionally.

All the people in the auditorium are stupid. Everyone is wondering if the sorting hat is broken...

"None of the above colleges!" The sorting hat's voice resounded throughout the hall, "The college he went to should be Gryffindor!"

   You are amazing!

   David thought.

"It's all trivial things!" The Sorting Hat happily said, "Remember to come and chat with me in the future. I'm in the principal's office."

sure no problem!

David took off his hat and put it on the bench. Professor McGonagall hadn't reacted yet, and so did the others. The entire auditorium was dead. This may be the quietest time in Hogwarts' history.

David bowed to everyone and walked towards Gryffindor's table. When he passed the high platform, David smiled and blinked at Dumbledore.

Dumbledore had already reacted, he smiled and raised his glass to David.

After David found a place to sit down at the Gryffindor table, the people of Gryffindor reacted. Their cheering sounds almost lifted the roof of the auditorium. They felt that such a branch was too great. That's cool.

There are two red-haired students who are still clamoring whether they can go up and be divided into the hospital again.

Seeing their excitement, David felt that if it weren't for Professor McGonagall who was standing next to the sorting hat, the two of them would have run up.
