Chapter 542: Wu Zetian Mausoleum

This cave hall was sunken deeply. The top of the hall was level with Yang Jing's current position, but the bottom of the hall was seven or eight meters deep under his feet.

Obviously, it can be clearly judged from the location and depth that this cave hall is the core area of the entire cave. This cave hall, together with the four sections of caves outside, form a "Hui"-shaped structure. The four sections of caves covered with organ traps are the outer circle of the "Hui" character, and this cave hall is The little "mouth" in this "Hui" character.

Yang Jing approached the rock wall at the entrance of the cave hall, and after looking at it for a while, he reached out and touched the rock wall, and then shook his head in surprise.

If you read correctly, this cave hall was actually excavated from the mountain!

In other words, if the four sections of the cave outside are naturally formed and slightly modified artificially, then this cave hall is very likely to be completely hard-cut out of the mountain!

By this time, Yang Jing was almost convinced that this cave was not built by Yuechengzi at all. He just found this place at first, and then took it for himself.

It's just that the character of Niucha did such a huge project?

Combined with the speculation in the cave hall outside, Yang Jing estimated that this cave was most likely built by a certain emperor of the Tang Dynasty!

The emperors in ancient China usually began to prepare for their own affairs from the moment they became the throne. Accompanied by the enthronement of a generation of emperors, on the other hand, it was the construction of the huge tombs of the emperors.

And an emperor’s tomb is often built for several years or even decades. Many short-lived emperors began to build their own tombs after they became kings, but most of them can't be repaired until the death tombs...

If this cave is really an emperor’s tomb, it would take at least ten years to build this tomb in terms of the level of architecture at that time!

sighed slightly, Yang Jing slowly stepped onto the stairs extending downward from the entrance and walked to the bottom of the cave hall.

This step is close to the rock wall on one side. After walking down and taking out the battery lights, I just looked at the fuzzy bottom on it, and now it all lights up.

The length and width of the entire hall is more than ten meters, about the same size as the first cave hall. In the very center of the bottom of the hall, there is a raised square stone platform. Next to the stone platform is a stone monument more than one meter high. Between the thigh bones, there is a jade box with a radius of less than one foot...

This jade box should have been held in the lower abdomen when the skeleton was alive, but when the body rotted, the jade box naturally fell between the legs.

A complete skeleton is holding a jade box in his hand. What does this mean?

it goes without saying! This jade box has absolutely extraordinary significance for this skeleton.

This situation makes Yang Jing extremely excited. The scene before him clearly shows one thing, that is, the stuff in that jade box is most likely the Jade Seal!

Yang Jingqiang suppressed his excitement and walked quickly to the bone, only to discover that the bone was not only holding the jade box, but there were other things in the bone.

On the stone platform on the back of the skeleton, a host was dropped. One end of the host was carved with a Tai Chi Yin and Yang fish. Obviously, this is not a hairpin used by ordinary women, but a hairpin worn by a Taoist priest.

In addition to this hosta, there is also a jade handle of whisk on the two arm bones of this skeleton. As for the beast hair on the whisk, the hair of the beast on the whisk has long rotted without a trace, leaving only such a whisk. handle. Since the handle of this whisk is also made of jade, the handle is not rotted.

On the left arm bone of the skeleton, there is also a yin and yang ring made of jade.

Obviously, these leftovers are showing the identity of this skeleton-this skeleton was a Taoist priest before his death.

Because whether it is a hosta with a carved yin and yang fish pattern or a whisk without animal hair, or the yin and yang ring that connects the two rings, they are all ornaments worn by Taoist priests.

In other words, the identity of this skeleton before his death can already be revealed-Yuechengzi.

If this skeleton was really from Yuechengzi during his lifetime, then the jade box between the skeleton's hands must contain the legendary jade seal.

Although Yang Jing was very excited, he was not in a hurry to get the jade box. Instead, he settled his mind and looked at the stone stele next to the stone platform.

This stone tablet is the same as the stone tablet outside. It was carved in mortal scriptures. It took Yang Jing a long time to recognize it before translating the contents of the carving on the stone tablet.

These contents are surprising to Yang Jing.

The content on the stele is roughly like this.

In the first year of Tianyou, in 904 AD, Yuechengzi traveled around the world after he came out of the Shangqing Guan of Wangwu Mountain, but inadvertently obtained a secret scroll, knowing the outline of a mausoleum built by Emperor Wu Zetian more than 200 years ago. The location, so I followed the figure to find out, and it took six years to find this tomb that was suspected to be built by Wu Zetian, Empress Wu Zetian, in the third year of Tiancheng, that is, in the park in 910.

This time point is in line with the time stated on the previous stone tablet, but the previous stone tablet is not so detailed, and this stone tablet explains in detail how Yuechengzi discovered this tomb of Wu Zetian.

Seeing this, Yang Jing smiled. This cave is indeed a tomb of the emperor of the Tang Dynasty, and it turned out to be a tomb built by the legendary Wu Zetian for himself.

After all, Wu Zetian seized the world of the Li family and set up the capital in Luoyang. This is obviously because Wu Zetian had a ghost or a guilty in his heart at the time. Since even the capital of Wu Zhou has changed, it is very likely that Wu Zetian did not want to be buried with Li Zhi after he became the empress, so he built his mausoleum under Mount Daimei.

But in the end, Wu Zetian didn't use this mausoleum. Although the Empress had undergone the Shenlong Transformation during her serious illness, Wu Zetian returned the imperial power to the Li family, but Li Xian, that is, Tang Zhongzong was after all Wu Zetian’s third son, so after Li Xian ascended the throne, after the death of his mother Wu Zetian, he directly gave Wu Zetian and his father Li Zhi were buried together.

After Wu Zetian's death, his son was buried in Qianling Mausoleum, and he was buried with his husband Li Zhi, so this mausoleum was naturally useless.

According to the scale of this tomb, the fault is that a female emperor like Wu Zetian is able to build such a powerful tomb. I am afraid that there is no such financial power for individuals. Of course, the emperors of the Tang Dynasty after Wu Zetian had the ability and financial resources to build such tombs, but the tombs of the Li family were all built in the eighteen tombs of the Tang Dynasty. It is impossible for these emperors to put their ancestral graves inaccessible and build tombs under Mount Daimei.

That's it. Wu Zetian didn't know how much manpower and material resources he had spent to build this tomb. In the end, he didn't use it, but it was cheaper in Yuechengzi.

What follows on the inscription is how Yue Chengzi met Li Congke, how he was valued by Li Congke, and how Li Congke was summoned to Beijing to become the official official in Sitiantai after Li Congke became the late emperor of the Tang Dynasty.

It focuses on the process of obtaining the Seal of the Chuan Kingdom.

After Yue Chengzi drank the wine given by Li Congke, because he secretly took the antidote he configured, he was not poisoned on the spot. Instead, he watched Li Congke take his wife, children and old mother, holding the Jade Seal. Sitting on the Xuanwu Tower, he ordered the Guards of the Imperial Guard to light the Xuanwu Tower. A generation of emperors held the jade seal and burned themselves in the flames of the Xuanwu Tower.

Because Li Congke threw fire, the entire Luoyang Palace was in chaos. The palace maids and eunuchs took advantage of the chaos and looted many treasures and fled, but no one came to Xuanwu Tower because of the fire.

After the fire was extinguished, Yuechengzi secretly found the Jade Seal of the Kingdom which had not been burned, and then slipped out of Luoyang Palace and returned to Yuechengguan. However, because the remaining poison was not clear, Yuechengzi was not known for a long time, and eventually moved all the precious things bestowed by Li Congke during the period of the Sitiantai Zhongguanzheng into this tomb of Wu Zetian, and then left them in the cave hall outside. The stone tablet restarted these organs, and finally came here by himself. After carving the stone tablet, he held the national jade seal in his hand and waited for the arrival of death.

There is no doubt that this skeleton was left by Yuechengzi~www.readwn.com~, and the jade box contained in the jade box is also the jade seal of the Kingdom that has been missing for more than a thousand years.

But in the inscription Yue Chengzi also mentioned some other things, for example, if a younger generation comes here, please properly dispose of his remains. Another very important message is that Yuechengzi knew that this tomb full of institutions was a tomb prepared for him by Wu Zetian, but he did not fully explore the tomb, and he had not entered the main tomb. The rewards he received from Li Congke were placed in a tomb to accompany him.

Seeing this, Yang Jing couldn't help sighing.

This Yue Chengzi is also considered to be a generation of heroes. Before, he thought that such insidious traps were arranged by him, but now it seems that he had guessed wrong before. These traps were arranged by the empress Wu Zetian.

But think about it, no wonder. Although Wu Zetian was domineering, he established the Wu Zhou Dynasty and became the only empress in the history of China, but she was a woman after all, and she was married to the Li family. So after she won the world, there must be a ghost in her heart.

Perhaps it is because there is a ghost in his heart. Wu Zetian was worried about this when he was building his tomb. That is why he built his tomb with many institutions...

Yuechengzi is nothing but a magpie’s nest.

However, Yue Chengzi was able to persist in hiding the Chuanguo Yuxi after drinking poisoned wine. No matter what, he was credited to China. If it weren't for him, no one could tell what would happen to the Jade Seal of the Kingdom. But with Yuechengzi, although the Chuanguo Yuxi had disappeared for thousands of years, it finally returned to the hands of the Huaxia people!
