Chapter 72 Shadow Monster

After the negotiation was reached, the vigilance in both parties’ minds was greatly reduced.

Rhaegar ate the food provided by the wildlings, drank the water provided by the wildlings, and watched the wildlings dance around the campfire.

The siblings Falcon and Sapphire always share a campfire with him.

Chatting stories about each other calmly.

The falcon picked at the scraps from the hare skeleton and asked, "You look young, the king's youngest son?"

“I am the king’s eldest son,” Rhaegar said with a smile.

"If I remember correctly the tradition of the nobles, the eldest son is the heir. Will you be the new king in the future?" Falcon was surprised.

"No! In fact, the heir is my sister." Rhaegar replied calmly.

“Why? She has a **** like yours hidden under her skirt?”

A rough-looking savage who was watching the fun came up and started making noises, which made the nearby savages laugh.

Rhaegar glanced sideways at the other person, his eyes fell on Falcon, and he remained silent.

Falcon's face was slightly angry, he grabbed the rough man's calf and said in a deep voice: "Sander, get out of here!"

“Yes, yes, Sander, get out of here...”

The savage named Sander shook his head and repeated this sentence with a very nonchalant attitude.

Until an eagle with black spots on a white background landed on the branch above his head, he shuddered and reluctantly walked away.

Watching him disappear into the crowd, Falcon turned his head and said in a voice with no hint of emotion or anger: "The tribe has not been stable recently, and many warriors are restless."

“My mouth stinks, how about the dragon dung at Taniguchi?” Rega smiled slightly.

"I will teach him a lesson and warn others." Falcon paused in his movements, and his voice was a little irritable.

He was not a threat to anger Rhaegar.

It was the tribe's men who made him lose face in front of the distinguished guests.

 The night is getting darker.

After filling his stomach, Rhaegar returned to the cave where he woke up to rest.

Falcon gave him some soft animal skins and arranged for the Baolan siblings to follow him.

After laying out the animal skin blanket himself, Rhaegar called to the two siblings who were sleeping against the wall and gave them the remaining animal skin.

“Thank you.” Tormund whispered his thanks.

“Can I ask you some questions, such as what happened to the tribe?” Rhaegar took the opportunity to inquire about information.

Tormund held the animal skin and looked at Sapphire blankly.

Bao Lan nodded, turned around and spread the straw mat.

Tormund said: "The tribe's original place was attacked by monsters, and several people died. Uncle Falcon had no choice but to take us to migrate."

“Monsters? Crocodiles and pythons in the swamp?” Rhaegar became interested.

"No, it's a monster hiding in the shadows, moving like a python, piercing our bodies." Tormund told with fear.

This kind of monster brought him a deep psychological shadow.

"I've never heard of similar shadow monsters circulating. Is this true?" Rega looked at Baolan dubiously.

Sapphire is similar in age to Rhaenyra, and her words are more credible.

Sapphire looked ugly: "It's true. Even the old people in the tribe have never seen or heard of such monsters. They seem to appear out of thin air."

“Wow, looks like we’re in trouble.”

Rhaegar frowned hesitantly. He was not sure if there were any shadow monsters on the Crab Claw Peninsula.

But this tribe seems not as safe as imagined.

After a brief exchange, the cave fell into silence.

The three of them were lying on their own beds, and they could still hear the shouts of the wild men in the carnival outside the cave.

 After a while.

Baolan couldn't help it first and asked, "Why is your sister the heir?"

"There is no reason. She and I are both our father's children. It doesn't matter who is the heir." Rhaegar chatted boringly.

"You are kidding yourself. Those nobles prefer a man with a handle to lead them." Baolan questioned.

"That's true, but my father chose her to be his heir. We are relatives, and I just want to help her."

“Humph, she will get married in the future, have her own husband, and give birth to her children, who will be her lifelong relatives.”

Baolan snorted coldly and said, "And you, a younger brother who is higher in the pecking order than her, will only become an obstacle to her."

“Which lord are you the illegitimate daughter of? Does it sound familiar to the Targaryen family?” Rhaegar smiled and asked.

"It's none of your business, he's just a **** who can't control his pants." Baolan didn't like to mention his origin.

"Then I don't need you to take care of my housework, miss!" Rega used magic to defeat magic.

“Haha, he called you miss.” Tormund, who was huddled in the corner, smiled stupidly.

"What about you, young master?" Baolan stood up and kicked him, which made him stop laughing.

After a few words, the cave fell into silence again.   …

 Midnight.

The humid air evaporated water vapor, and large dark clouds rose into the sky, covering the crescent moon.

Without the moonlight, the night becomes darker.

In the valley, the savages were tired from the commotion and fell asleep on the ground in twos and threes.

The piles of bonfires gradually became smaller, leaving only sporadic flames crackling.

  In a dim environment.

A strange dark creature twisted its shape and emerged from the dark shade of the trees.

The dark creature blended well into the shadows, crawling like a snake, and came to a sleeping wild man.

slowly.

Getting into the nostrils, ears, and mouths of the savages...

The dark creatures seemed to be able to split apart and invaded the wild man's body all-pervasively.

A soft stick-like object was thrust into his throat. The savage made two chirps and woke up from his dream in discomfort.

As soon as I opened my eyes.

Then he saw a pitch-black twisted monster lying on his chest, branching out into vine-like tentacles.

The savage's eyes widened instantly, fear filled his heart, and he wanted to scream.

"Well…"

Before he could scream, two tentacles from his nostrils pierced his brain and muddied his brain.

Easily rob a savage of his life.

The dark monster twisted its figure, pulled out its tentacles, and looked for its next prey.

 …

In the cave, Rega was sleeping soundly.

"ah!!"

In vain, a shrill scream resounded through the valley, waking everyone up.

Rhaegar opened his eyes drowsily and looked around at a loss.

 Sister Baolan also woke up.

He picked up the weapon beside him and rushed out of the cave, warning: "It's dangerous outside, don't go out."

Rhaegar was stunned for a moment, then quickly got up and followed.

He has heard many horror stories.

When encountering danger, the most dangerous person is the one who is alone.

 He still understands this.

Out of the cave, the savages outside were in a panic.

Some people add fuel to the bonfire, and some people light torches.

The night is only a little brighter.

Lega stayed close behind Baolan and stuck his head out to see the reason.

There is a lot of noise outside, the savages are howling and screaming, and no useful information can be obtained.

  Waited for a long time.

  The chaotic scene subsided.

It was Falcon leading the savage warriors back from a patrol.

 They were carrying several corpses.

They are all strong male savages.

There was bleeding from three orifices, but there were no injuries on the surface of the body.

One of the men was hit by an arrow in the chest, piercing his heart, and blood was flowing from the corner of his mouth.

In front of everyone in the tribe.

Falcon threw three corpses that died in the same way into the bonfire and burned the remains.

The other one pulled out the arrow and looked at it gloomily.

“We are being targeted by other tribes!”

Falcon held the arrow tightly and roared angrily.

Thanks to Yanxingxing for the 500-point reward.

Thanks to Fengyun Xiaogg and Seinfeld for the 100-point reward.
