Chapter 4 Crow God Relic

Odin saw his two roommates discussing something with a low voice when he returned to his dormitory.

Odin enrolled in Blue Vine University and was an official student. They lived in a four-person dorm room including a washroom.

Since everyone was busy with schoolwork, usually the dorm would be empty besides bedtime.

Thus, Odin was not expecting there were another two roommates here.

When they saw Odin enter, one of them faced him and said, “Odin, you returned. Didn’t you say you were going to look for Teacher Carter? How did it go, did Teacher Carter want you to stay and be his lab assistant?”

Odin had yet to speak, he had noticed the other roommate’s dodgy expression.

Odin swallowed back his words and shook his head, “My luck was not so good. Just as I was going there, Teacher Carter was killed by Leo. I was there by the side watching it but could not get any news.”

“How could it be Leo?” The other roommate cried out involuntarily.

“Of course it’s him, the Black Hound had captured Leo. I even saw his skin turn red, he probably believed in some Evil God.”

Odin’s roommate tensed up when he heard it, “No way, Blue Vine University was the God of Wisdom’s territory. How can there be an Evil God?”

“Who knows? Maybe someone wanted to be an Apprentice. After all, becoming an Apprentice can increase your points if you stay after school.” Odin spoke while looking at the expression of the other roommate. Odin noticed he was distracted when he heard about Leo’s accident.

After Odin told them everything that happened, the other roommate found an excuse and left.

Odin ignored him. After that roommate left, Odin sat on his bed and carefully remembered everything that happened.

I can’t be sure of the others. But one thing is for sure, when Carter died, it was at the same time when my system activated. It was his death that activated my system. 

Everything was a setup against me. It should have been premeditated and I don’t know if there are any connections.

Why are they targeting me? I’m not sure about it, but I’m sure they won’t stop just like that.

The setup will appear once again in the future, and it will be much more aggressive. It will reach the point of the school management doing it themselves.

I can’t wait till that time, I have to make a big deal out of the current situation.

Countless thoughts came and went in Odin’s mind. When he snapped out of it, the day was almost dark. His roommate had already left and he was alone in the dorm.

Odin felt some hunger as he stood up. As he was going to look for something to eat, he accidentally hit his locker.

Odin suddenly noticed behind his locker that something was stuck on it.

Since Odin usually did not pay any attention and the thing was stuck too deep inside. Odin did not notice it.

He put aside some old school uniforms and stretched his hand to grab that thing.

That thing was a semi-Indian-style accessory. It looked like three feathers in different colors black, white, and red were stuck together and wrapped onto a piece of rough bronze.

The bronze was made into a crow shape and there were slight traces of punk style.

This time the message rang and appeared in front of Odin. He could not even miss it.

He lowered his head and looked at the Crow God Relic in his hand as his expression turned grave.

He heard of the Black Death Society and the Crow God was the arch-nemesis of the God of Death. Both of them came from Europe and arrived at the White Eagle Republic at the same time. During that time, Europe was facing the peak of the Black Death. The boat was also infected by the Black Death.

Crow God thought there were still cures for the Black Death but the God of Death thought these deaths were brought by heaven. He stopped Crow God from saving the people and when they arrived on this land, only both of them managed to ashore. The others had died on the sea.

Since then, both of them have gone their own ways. It was rumored the God of Death died at some place after that incident. However, in the end, it was a blessing in disguise as he became the God of Death.

The Crow God entered the Indian’s land for his medical skill. He learned about the Indian’s ancient witchcraft and gradually became the local guardian.

The souls that died due to the Black Death gathered by his side. This was the reason why their group was named the Black Death Society.

However, the official news from the God of Death said the Crow God was a crow that brought death. It was he who brought the Black Death.

These kinds of news spread their own truth but Odin did not care whether who was correct or wrong.

He was concerned about why the Crow God looked for him.

After some thought, Odin chose to analyze.

Just as he said this, the Crow God Relic on his hand vanished. A projection of the relic appeared in front of him and was constantly disassembling and reassembling.

These changes made Odin feel uncomfortable, but he was unsure whether he should stare at it or not. Thus, he could only stare at it fearing missing something.

Finally, the relic’s projection vanished leaving behind three lights with the colors black, white, and red that entered Odin’s mind.
